A reminder that the original psvr was $400 at launch. Then you had to buy the camera for like $50/60. Then the controllers were like $100. So it's about the same price as the first one while being 1000000x better
The price isn't even bad compared to competitive headsets. And the launch lineup (which will continue to grow) is pretty great. A horizon game, resident evil village, star wars, VR support for resident evil 4 within the next month of release, Demeo, No man's sky support, The Walking Dead Saints and Sinners 2, and Firewall Ultra. Not to mention the tons of other games confirmed for it that won't be there day 1, but it's enough to keep us busy for some time
@TrickyDicky99 lmfao imagine stopping buying something simply because others can play it on pc now. And lol what reduction in game sales on console? This is a post about pc sales. I've legitimately never seen someone hate on ps as hard as you do. And I've yet to see a single person other than you decide not to buy a game simply because it's on ps4 or pc as well
@Don_Corleone no amount of sites will make it make sense. If the series s can do 1440/30, then consoles much more powerful should be able to get 1440/60 minimum
@TrickyDicky99 I keep seeing you around here. Do you EVER have ANYTHING positive to say? About anything? Ever? All I see is constant trash talk about playstation
@Richzx6r dude, it's literally SIX seconds. That is NOTHING. In most games, it isn't even that. For the vast majority of titles, it loads before I can even put in my six digit phone pin. Scratching an itch will take longer
Holy hell you guys will complain about ANYTHING Sony does, no matter what. How is reporting that they’re not half-arsing a much anticipated headset considered a bad thing? I see some people mentioning a lack of software first party wise. It seems perfectly fine to me, especially when it’s more than the competition. Hell, ragnarok releases in a single month but you’d think no game has come all year given the animosity that GOOD news brings
Seems alright for me. Will pretty much be like the mid 90s till just up to around 2010. And each game will have a different dev team so it shouldn’t be an issue
@EVIL-C a remake is not a port. Nice try though. Love seeing you defend Nintendo charging $60 for a $50 game that actually IS a port. And unlike skyward sword, tlou remake will go on sale within the next half a year+ and may even be permanently marked down while skyward sword is still $60 over a year later. You’re also acting like the psvr isn’t completely different tech to the psvr 2. I don’t see you complaining about the Kinect not working on series consoles. Or the switch having 0 backwards compatibility. At the same time, you can still play psvr games using the first headset on ps5
@Dr_Luigi no, Nintendo is worse still. $40 to $60 is worse than $60 to $70 especially when they give you the option to play the old one still. And a $10 increase for a port is worse than when Sony will do their ports. For example: uncharted 4 and the spin-off on ps5 NEW are $50 combined or a $10 upgrade if you own ONE of those games
@Dr_Luigi Nintendo DID increase prices. Diamond and Pearl were $40 at release and the remakes are $60. Skyward sword was $50 at release and the switch port was $60 as well. Plus they locked quality of life improvements behind an expensive amibo. And those are just off the top of my head
@TrickyDicky99 that has got to be some of the dumbest reasoning I’ve ever heard. What’s wrong with ps4 games? Especially when they also have ps5 versions that run much better. They’re still games regardless. You’re really going to miss out on amazing experiences because it’s not ps5 only?
@IonMagi lmao Sony’s store isn’t even that overpriced. It’s comparable to Xbox’s and isn’t much worse than steams. Also, you’re still cut short on both storage and cpu even if you upgrade the ram. Not to mention you’ll already be pushing $900 at just that, making it more than double the price of a ps5 digital. Even if you compared the physical, that laptop can’t play discs so you can’t make use of used games and places like GameStop where you can trade them in like you can with ps. Unless you want to spend hundreds more on a better laptop, you’ll still be well under the ps5 performance wise
@IonMagi you do realize that’s got half the ram, almost half the storage, is on sale, and has a much worse processor than the ps5 right? Plus, you can get a digital ps5 for about $400 usd while that is over twice the price. A decent laptop with one of those in it is about 3x the price of a ps5
@lolwhatno uh, why exactly would that be? Native ps5 games takes less than 5 seconds to load 99% of the time. Hell, most are near instant loads. Idk why that'd worry you
@KnightRider1982 you're really going to compare singular episodes at 1080p (that're likely 24 - 48 mins long) to a large AAA next gen game? They're not even comparable. A game will likely be 12-20 hours long and it'll be in 4k. The norm for AAA games right now is about 40-60 gigs, so being less than 28 is definitely small
@tweakin_frostyz cd project red themselves are the ones who said that. It's not "just for clicks". And the issue is very widespread. You seem to be lucky. Ign and digital foundry both showcased just how bad the game runs in an objective manner as well
@WanderingBullet well yes there's reused assets. The first and second games share characters and a city. Some enemies in these types of games (at least common crooks) are almost always reskinned ala arkham asylum-knight. It'd honestly be dumb of them not to reuse a lot of things
@Stragen8 i feel like they should pass off remasters/remakes of the first game or two to a separate studio, work on this sequel in the meantime, then alongside some members of that studio make a sequel that's more directly linked to the first two games
@blacklivesmatter fair enough to buy what you wanna buy, but i've never heard a dumber reason to not get a console. You're spending $300-$500 and the deciding factor is really the design of the console? Not the games or benefits of each service? The controller? The aesthetic of a piece of hardware is really the deciding factor here?
@Rhaoulos that's dumb af to say. The first party dev did NOT have to say that. Sony has previously stated that 99% of games will work and then also put the list of games that won't work yesterday. They have 100% communicated this clearly
@710King except you literally talk negative about stuff that isn't negative at all. Like you crapped on Demon's souls graphics in screenshots because apparently Skyrim has better graphics? like what? That makes no sense. Apparently this game that literally everyone else says looks next gen including digital foundry deserves to be crapped on. "Early 8th gen looking game" my ass
@710King holy f***. Do you literally ever have anything even remotely positive to say about anything? Literally every article I go into the comments on has you bashing on something, complaining about something, and/or talking sh** about something
@710King yes it is. You're just looking at it at face value. Resolution isn't everything. You're missing that games are now going to be loading a lot lot more at once. You also completely ignore the greatly improved texture quality and detail as well as increased particle effects used now. Not to mention that ray tracing is very taxing and most of the 4k/30fps games are only that way because of ray tracing. And you seem to be forgetting that most 4k/60fps games from current gen were either upscaled or are much less intensive than next gen games will be
it looks like people here reaaally have a hard time reading 1. This is a rumor 2. Your ps4 saves will still work with your backwards compatible games 3. in the past, games have rarely let you transfer data from one version to the next 4. games such as avengers have already been confirmed to keep their save data
@Kidfried how are they 1-upping them? Nintendo is forcing you to pay $60 for an emulated version of games that are decades old with only really a bump in resolution. Sony is instead letting you play your ps4 version on ps5 while charging $20 for a vastly improved version of the game (textures, models, resolution, ray tracing, frame rate, etc). While it would be nice if it were free, its not like you don't have the option to play the version you already have and the price of the upgrade to the remastered isn't that much
@Makina how exactly? It's not like it's a random story about side characters who aren't all that important. It's going to tell a pretty big part of miles story in this universe and he's one of the three main characters you play as in the original. Not to mention how this will feed into spiderman 2
@Powerpellet they're not total shills. This is one of the most anticipated games of the year that is coming out in 2 weeks. Review copies are out and it constantly has videos and other things being posted as it gets closer to release. Not to menion that the first game is considered to be one of the best games of all time and there has been a large amount of controversy due to leaks with this one
@Yamyam1969 what are you talking about? They never said the DLCs were all single player. Only left behind was single player. The other DLCs were released as multiplayer content
@Chaotic_Goat there isn't a change in the core gameplay exactly. It's mostly story and character related stuff. It bleeds into the gameplay, but only in the way that you playing as sarah or ellie did in the first game. The basic stuff is still the same
@SnowTiesAreCool "people that don't want it spoiled won't be reading the comments"
hey genius, most people won't know about there being leaks in the first place. Who should expect to have to stay away from comments on a video a month and a half away from release?
