Re: Soapbox: PS5's Next-Gen PSVR Headset Is Going to Drop Jaws in 2022

Emperor_Rusty

@Uncharted2007 great post, I would have written near exact thing as you. I was so excited when psvr first came out and got it on preorder. Price wasn't the issue, I was willing to pay anything (within common man's grasp) that would revolutionion the gaming industry. When it arrived, I was like a kid in a candy shop, bought a whole bunch of games too to kickstart this new love affair. Unfortunately, that's when the romance ended, motion sickness and visual graphic quality just made it impossible for me to enjoy games and ruined the 'immersive' experience'. I have loads of PSVR games now now, mainly due to the monthly frees given and try them every so often but still this setup is wasted on me

When PSVR 2 is launched, I'll be saving my cash this time round and try before I buy and if that isn't possible then I won't buy

Sony, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me

Re: PS Plus December 2021 PS5, PS4 Games Announced

Emperor_Rusty

I know this is a discussion on incoming PS games but I wanted to say goodbye to one of my favourites.
5 years ago I treated myself to an early Christmas present and bought myself a PS4, and I downloaded the PS game on offer at that month, unbeknown to me how much I would enjoyed it, unfortunately on the 8th of December, the game will no longer available and supported, so with a heavy heart, I would like to say goodbye to all players (mostly better than me) that I had the privilege to play with or against,
And finally to the game, 'Hardware Rivals', thanks guys its been fun

Re: Sony to Unlock PS5 Storage Extension This Summer

Emperor_Rusty

Trying to load a PS4 multiplayer (hardware rivals) game

If you or the Push Square team k ow the answer would be appreciated

Re: PS5 Finally Launches in China Later This Year

Emperor_Rusty

It is well documented that Asia (including Japan sadly) prefer mobile devices and PCs to play games on compared to consoles. So with the massive demand globally for PS5s (except Asia), mixed with massive stock shortages and Xbox releasing its new Series in these stock deprived countries, so it appears to me is that Sony's best approach is to catch the market share of those countries who actually want to play consoles instead of losing that market share to its competitors because they were chasing after a market share that isn't keen on consoles anyway

On a side note, I should be in Shangai as soon as the UK lock down ends and the Chinese embassy reopens, so maybe I should become a scrapper and sell my PS5 on for 4 times the amount I paid 'ooohahaha' (evil villain laugh while rubbing hands)

Re: PS5 Scalpers Continue to Scoop Up New Stock

Emperor_Rusty

@si2525 I know bud, it's where push square writes articles just to get traffic and site clicks but I was making a pun regarding the free ps5 game (as ps5 is the discussion point) "Maneatter" the shark game , and baiting, which is another word for catching fish.. Was a weak link, never mind

Re: PS5 Scalpers Continue to Scoop Up New Stock

Emperor_Rusty

Can anyone tell me why you have to click the button to prove you are not a computer when trying to get on the online order?

My point being that clearly that doesn't prevent bots from ordering but it does make it harder and slower for an individual trying to secure one therefore actually having a direct opposite effect on why you would have to click the 'im not a computer' in the first place

Re: Poll: What Was the Best PS4 First-Party Exclusive of the Generation?

Emperor_Rusty

So have to ask, how long does it take to get into and like Bloodborne? Got if free with my PS5 and after what felt ages of customisation to my guy, started the game. About after half an hour of game play , I turned it off and have never gone back. Clearly people love it so really keen to know how long to stick with it until it starts getting good?

Re: PS4 Console Production Reduced to Just One Model in Japan

Emperor_Rusty

The other article on Push Square talks about sluggish sales of the PS5 in Japan and now this, sounds like Sony has serious brand loss in the country.

On a separate note, I still play my PS4 way more than my PS5 probably 80/20 split. I find the PS5 lagging on PS4 designed games and often die as the frame is rubbish and I can't see quick enough what is happening. Does anyone else get this?

Re: Once Again, Japanese PlayStation Hardware Sales Have Fans Talking

Emperor_Rusty

With a global shortage of PS5s and the fact that that PS5 have smashed its sales records does, Sony even care? I would suggest they do not just because of the initial loss of sales but it is a trend which will worry them. This is because they have not being able to break into the Chinese market, combined with the slump in sales in Japan and a massive preference for handhelds (especially mobiles) across Asia suggests the the future console model is dying. This is because Asia is perceived to be the world leader in use of technology so if they are giving up consoles today, tomorrow the world might too

Re: Feature: 12 PS5, PS4 Predictions for 2021

Emperor_Rusty

1) More stories of PS5 and other accessories scaplers

2) The war between lovers and haters of TLOU2 wages on

3) Massive new following to Sony games after the release of Uncharted and TLOU (when it comes out)

4) Sony will only provide 2 games free each month a PS4 and PS5 (currently 2 PS4 and 1 PS5)

Re: Review: Hardware: Rivals (PS4)

Emperor_Rusty

Clearly my review is posted years after the Push Review but wanted to share my experience. This was my first free game after buying my ps4 about 4 years ago. And It remains one of my favourites. It's the type of game that requires you to learn the maps, how to use the primary and secondary weapons and when to run for dear life when you need to. There are a lot of strong players that still play the game so you will die a lot when you first start playing and you need. There are a lot of previous reviews saying they install the game and play for a few hours and delete it, this is a mistake. You need to clock up about 30 hours of game play so you can master all the skills I mentioned above

Despite what is written above about the game being slow, the game is actually fast paced, and requires skills and the 15min rounds fly by

IMHO rocket league doesn't come close to the fun of this game. Ignore all the negative comments above and give the game a try, also includes and easy platinum which is a bonus

Give the game a try, would love to see you guys there

Re: Cost of Fixing Cyberpunk 2077 Irrelevant, Says CD Projekt RED

Emperor_Rusty

Not so long ago I read an article on Push Square stating that they hadn't received the game early of release for reviewing purposes from CD Projekt Red, stating that the publisher was under no obligation to do so and it was their decision. It is now obvious to me they CD Projekt Red made this decision because they knew the Push Square would of slaughtered the game in it's review. There also was limited footage of it on PS4 and Xbox before release with CD Projekt Red focusing on PC. Again showing me the real reason why CD Projekt Red had done this, because they knew it was S#it. They were banking on (and succeeded) in getting massive launch day sales, this would massively offset any "refunds" given and the cost fix the games. If the public had know the truth beforehand about the game's lack of performance, would there still have been such success in launch sales? I'm guessing not. So I believe that that CD Projekt Red weighed up the costs of, again delaying the release date until fixed (if ever), against the cost of releasing it early with bugs and came to the conclusion that there was more profit in the latter. After all, Sony isn't for filling all refunds, and not everyone is unhappy and even those that are unhappy, some are just OK waiting for the patch repair. Compare this to lack of sales due to the negative publicity beforehand.
Finally the fact that CD Projekt Red are releasing the PS5 version after the PS4 version again shows evidence to me that CD Projekt Red wanted to maximise profits, as they know that most PS5 owners own a PS4 but with all the hype, they want the game now so by releasing them separately, there is potential for double sales.
I personally have no sympathy for CD Projekt Red as it feels like they treated us (the public and thier customers) with utter disregards by trying to pull a fast one over us

Anyone agree to my view or disagree, I'm interested to know?
