Re: Black Myth: Wukong's Physical Editions Won't Have Actual Discs at Launch, Just Digital Codes

EYEBALL

At this point us gaming enthusiasts are getting conditioned to eventually think that a disc version is a collectors edition and that the releases are limited.

I can imagine developers/publishers will start doing this more often in the long run that will lead us all slowly into a subscription/digital/cloud only gaming future.

With the state of the industry today I appreciate all of my classic/retro games from years ago today more then ever, I play them and get more fun & entertainment out of them then I do with games that get released today ๐Ÿ™ƒ, that's how bad the industry is at the moment in my eyes.

More bloat in the long run then but at the end of the day most people hold the button down to skip the cut scenes to speed run through it all.

It would be great if more creative/fun type of products with better physics (for example) are produced instead of these high end emotional cinematic storytelling games that we get today.

Hellblade 2 is a good example.

Live service games that people play and nothing else but that game is great for subscriptions. The player's, they end up paying more for the game throughout the year because you have to pay to play online either way and with people paying for skins it's a no brainer, I don't blame them especially when people buy it day one still.

Excluding the skins they would be paying like 200 beans for it maybe more for the first year.

@Balie3000 Yup correct just like Steve Jobs said.....

โ€œThe only problem with Microsoft is they just have no taste. They have absolutely no taste. And I don't mean that in a small way, I mean that in a big way, in the sense that they don't think of original ideas, and they don't bring much culture into their products,โ€

They're a company that borrows/extracts and seeks ideas from others by either stealing the source and then they happily go to court every time over it or they just buy the competition, absorb the market to stay on top making them the dominant leader whilst making their investors happy but deep down they're just a company that sustains growth via software and mainly subscriptions now leading those at the top to not have to think of new critical industrial game changing ideas like Nintendo, Apple or even IBM so that leads it all back to square one to what I stated, Steve Jobs said and what you stated, they are a clueless corporate entity.

What is the connection frequency strength like on this thing when going into a different room, can it stay stable?, I wouldn't mind getting one for chill out days in bed, I don't want to be moving the console all the time.

I have 300+Mbps download & 80+Mbps upload.

Re: $70 Games Are Just a Phase, Believes Saber Interactive CEO

Just thinking, if prices were reduced by eliminating expensive dialogues/cut scenes it wouldn't be a bad thing because most people skip them to speed through the game anyways, it is a video game after all not a movie.

Saving money from not using high-end graphics isn't bad either because most people get the wow factor for a short period when starting the game for the first time until they put the controller down, have something to eat and just randomly look at the TV again.

Elden Ring is a good example in context.

Buying Zune, Skype, Nokia, ZeniMax, Activision/Blizzard and creating a big bland black brick of a box like the series X sounds relatable.

No way, I've not watched dragon ball in years but Its crazy to think that it runs through the generations since it came out in 1984, even my grandad enjoyed watching it with me when I was a kid and he was sixty odd years old back then in the 90s.

RIP to that legend, that 9000 power level will get him too the holy gates in no time.
