Re: PS5's Pro Controller DualSense Edge Will Get Strong Competition

DoppiaD

@themightyant it is a question of habit, I believe. I played with the symmetrical analog sticks since inception on PS and I’m so use it that when I use the asymmetrical ones my body and brain start to cringe.
Could I get used to it in time? Probably. Do I really want to waste precious free time doing it? Heck no.

As for the buttons. I feel your pain very strongly.

Cheers mate and happy gaming.

Re: Roblox Finally Comes to PS5, PS4 This October

DoppiaD

My daughter plays Roblox on her Mac. I’m excited about it being on PS4 because I can convince her to play on her PS4 and maybe she will play some other games as well while she’s on there. On Mac isn’t really an option for her.

So yeah, this is a big deal for me as well.

Cheers.

Re: Konami Forced to Clarify MGS Master Collection Is 1080p, Up to 60FPS on PS5, PS4

DoppiaD

I never played the OG game and I basically don’t remember anything before Guns of the Patriots. It legit would be like playing everything for the first time. I want to play this collection on my living room TV. I’m buying this 4k or not. I’m good with 1080p60.
I know, I’m everything that’s bad about the gaming community.
The only thing I don’t accept is blaming this on nostalgia. That’s not me at all. I bought the Wonder Boy collection because of it. But not this one. I genuinely want to play this games sitting on the couch using my DualSense. Sue me. No wait, please don’t.

Cheers.

Re: Mini Review: Red Dead Redemption (PS4) - Classic Open World Western Deserves Better

DoppiaD

I really wanted to be able to play this without having to dig out my PS3. But I don’t want to pay full price for a buggy 30FPS game.
I want to reserve the privilege of wasting my money on the MGS ports. LOL. I’m 100% sure I won’t be able to resist on those. Also, it’s a bunch of games for similar money. Sounds like a Definitive better deal. Hopefully. LOL.

Cheers.

Re: PS5's Pro Controller, the DualSense Edge, Is the Best-Selling Accessory in the US

DoppiaD

I bought it day one. I was waiting for something like the Edge for a long time and quite honestly I’m 100% satisfied with it. The sort battery life sucks but it’s not a problem for me. I don’t have enough free time for that to be an issue and I always charge my controllers every time I’m not playing anyway.

I accept it’s not a product for everyone and that some can even see it as unnecessary. That’s fair. Still, I’m happy I got one.

I love PS4 and the DS4 a lot, my favorite gen by far, but the current gen is really shaping up to beat them. Time will tell.

Cheers and happy gaming!

Re: The Latest PS5 Firmware Update Is Available Now, Here Are the Patch Notes

DoppiaD

@ChakaL00T I’m sorry for you mate, and if you want to switch to PC. Power to ya. But do you understand that with the money you pay for a good GPU and CPU alone you can buy two PS5? Or a PS5 and an XSX. Or a PS5 and a Switch. Or a PS5 and a Steam Deck.
I mean, if we factor the whole PC you could probably buy all of the above instead.
I don’t know mate, do it if you can afford it and makes you happy, but I would rather have multiple platforms than a single one.

On top of that, I don’t quite understand the reasoning. If your GPU dies you can change it right away without sending it back? Or you plan to buy a new one? For the price of a new console…

Cheers!

Re: PS Plus Essential, Extra Games for March 2023 Announced Early

DoppiaD

Minecraft Dungeons was pretty fun for a couple of hours then it got repetitive. But I don’t have it on PlayStation, so I can’t complain.
Ghostwire I played the trial and gave up way before it was ended. But maybe I could give it another go now that I can take my time. I hate being rushed and I suspect that has something to do with me not liking the game.
Why I’m writing this, no one cares.
Cheers.

Re: Uncharted PC Port Has Lowest Player Count of Any Sony Game at Launch

DoppiaD

@nomither6 I’ve been working in IT for more than 20 years now and I learned to dislike it. I don’t want anything to do with it. I use Linux on desktop and MacOS on laptop, mostly because of the Apple Silicon. Although I gotta admit I learned to like it. Linux remains king for me though.

I too game for the most part on console. But sometimes I use a PC, with Linux or MacOS even. Also the Steam Deck, but quite honestly I consider that more a console that runs PC games.

Re: Uncharted PC Port Has Lowest Player Count of Any Sony Game at Launch

DoppiaD

I play on all platforms I can afford to buy. Although I’m mostly a console gamer. Also, PC gaming for me is definitely NOT Windows, but I don’t know how much this is relevant these days.

All of that said.

I want to get it to play it on my SD, but I’m not going to pay 50 euros for a game I’ve already played twice on console.

Not the most relevant of comments as gamers like me are probably just outliers.

Re: Poll: Do You Care About 60fps on PS5?

DoppiaD

I think modern games should let you pick. If the developers feel like a GOOD 30FPS mode is beneficial. I feel like game development should target 60FPS and then add the 30FPS if deemed necessary, not vice versa. But I’m a system engineer not a game developer. What I know is just that I want to be able to pick 60FPS mode if I want to.

The truth of the matter here is that this is more of a “where our budget should go” issue then a technical one.

Re: Sony's Cloud Streamed PS3 Games Are Causing a Storm on Social Media

DoppiaD

I really don’t understand how people were expecting anything different from what Sony did. They are reacting to Gamepass, none of this looks like it is coming out of years of planning.

I’m personally quite happy with the proposition. I get more at the same price. I was happy before, I can’t complain now.

But hey, if you are disappointed? Jump ship, you don’t own anything to Sony and it’s the only way to really hurt them.

The XSS is cheap and easier to find. Maybe a gaming PC would be even better, but that’s expensive and you have to deal with Windows. Hopefully the Steamdeck changes that, though. One can hope.

My 2 euro cents.

Re: Sony Processing Cyberpunk 2077 Refunds for PS5, PS4 Players

DoppiaD

This is good. I'm glad I didn't preordered it. I started smelling foul when they just lifted embargo on the PC version. And even that one was coming in hot.

I'm pretty sure they'll fix it eventually, but still, it doesn't look good right now. Especially on base consoles.

Re: Interview: What Does a Professional Trophy Hunter Think of the New Levelling System?

DoppiaD

@wiiware Same. I usually finish the game then go for the Platinum if I really enjoyed the game. I also make goals if I really loved the game. Like the 500 Legend of legends badges in Death Stranding. The only game I Platinumed on finish is Maneater, I just couldn't resist clearing all the areas. Gods that game was a lot of fun. XD

In any case I like the new trophy system, it just seems like more fun.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy With You PS Plus Games for September 2020?

DoppiaD

It bothers me a tiny bit too that both games are already on Now, but I'll get over it if it doesn't become a standard. Either way, both games are not my cup of tea. I really don't like BR or fighting games. I'm still going to download them though, as a matter of fact I've already downloaded SFV because my daughter is into fighting games. I mean, maybe I'll change my mind in the future and they might disappear from Now.

It is 3 months in a row of ***** selection for this guy though. XD

Re: Crysis Remastered Won't Include Warhead Expansion

DoppiaD

I hate to have to play Crysis on PC. I was waiting for this. I want it. I feel a "shut up and take my money" moment coming up when the preorders will be live.

Pity for Warhead though, I did like it better than the base story. Still, it shall be mine!

Re: Poll: Do You Feel Ripped Off by PS Plus' Recent Changes?

DoppiaD

I've been a PS+ member since forever. I do not feel ripped off, the "extra" games were mostly fluff for me, all my PS3s died years ago and the crossplay ones, well, I can do without. I'm happy with just two games if they also keep being high quality games. Also I appreciated the cloud storage increase. Obviously I wouldn't mind if Sony gave us more for the same, but from my point of view value went a tiny bit up, not drastically down.
