I know any potential Uncharted game would still be years away, but I would rather be living in the era of rumors drifting through the winds like now, than the decade of radio silence we've had to endure.
@DETfaninATL When you write RE4 (PS3 Version) is there something special about that version of the game or is it just the version you've played? I'm not familiar with the PS3 version of it.
I don't despise it like some. There's lots of things about it individually that are great, it just doesn't all blend together very well.
I would definitely love to see a remake-reimagining of it. RE9 does spell out the best kind of potential for a redo with the swapping characters. I would hate if there was just this permeant blotch in RE lore that most people don't like or never see because the game is what it is. Potentially in a decade we could see 6 redone ? Time will tell.
No hate. But can the 0.7% of you who voted RE6 please write in the comments and explain why, when lined up along everything else, literally every single RE game, that was your pick.
@cragis0001 I'm sure that number includes things like multiplayer titles, games like Destiny 2. Those would be the real money makers and Sony said they would continue to port the multiplayer experiences to other platforms.
I mean, hey, I want to be wrong. I ultimately sit on the fence about this from a logical standpoint. But the article does state the PC ports are only 1.5% of total revenue. 1.5% isn't nothing, but at what cost does it come with? Long term brand damage is the answer. Or at least how it's perceived. That's typically never good for anyone, including investors.
@LogicStrikesAgain The logic is there (no pun intended) I just don't think the money is. How much could Sony seriously make from their own launcher that would justify the costs of PC development? It's a catch-22 each way you slice it.
Sony just has to pick their poison, drink it and smile, I suppose.
I'm just grateful I got Uncharted and both The Last of Us games on PC. They look terrific and play great at such high frame rates on ultrawide monitors.
I will feel my eye twitch in the future though when new Uncharted and The Last of Us games happen and I can't play them on PC though.

Re: New Lord of the Rings Game Comes from Tomb Raider Dev, It's Claimed
Yes. Give me more Saudi funded projects based on an 80 year old British IP. This is exactly what I had in mind for the future of video games.

It's not a decision I'm happy about, but it is the one that makes sense.
