@Icey664 I feel quite confident it will be a third person game. I imagine this is probably just some prologue part where you play a little bit in first person, then it opens up into third person for the rest of the game.
The production value seems pretty high. That was the most striking thing to me about this trailer. I'm not really sold by the story or characters so far, but I will keep an eye out for this one. It could grow to be something really great.
@nessisonett That would be a great idea. Those God of War HD Collections for the PS3 would be terrific on PC. It's not like people aren't playing those games by PS2 emulation anyway. Might as well grab that piece of the market.
I would prefer if these games came to PC down the line too. It's undoubtedly the smarter move going exclusive, but I think my voice as the customer should have some merit.
Even if these games came like 5 years later. Or only games of previous generations. I really liked the PC ports.
Jeez, poor Colin. Poor all of us really. All it takes is someone with a strong enough vendetta to really ruin your day with the potential you never get your account back.
I would like to see the return of Uncharted or The Last of Us. Obviously this won't happen soon since ND are finishing up with Intergalactic.
Call me generic, but I miss the 'normal guy with gun in hand fighting regular humans that Uncharted and The Last of Us offered. There's is a lot of Sci-Fi and Fantasy stuff in PlayStation now. It's cool, but I much prefer the grounded down to earth stuff ND used to provide the other PS Studios don't delve too deeply into.
@Ken_Kaniff you aren't wrong with your point. Patience is key and the only thing that will get you closer to the game. But getting hyped online is a far stretch to bombarding the front offices of a game studio I say.
@Grackler it's true. Many young people don't just go to a Youtube channel anymore because it's entertaining, in the same way you might change the channel on the TV to your favorite program. They tune in to keep up to date with the individual. Parasocial is very much the correct word you used to describe it.
It's sad that you see so many people on social media talk about why they didn't buy a game because [insert example here] said it's bad, than talking about how the multitude of opinions they learnt from from such and such was how they formed their decision.
@TheArt Personally I have hated Assassin's Creed the ever since they went down the RPG route. So to see it go back to an action game with a focus on parkour is all I need to know to hit buy.
@Jackthelad93 I think of it like a bill that needs to be paid. Sure, the bill says I have 30 days to pay and I could wait until the last moment. Or I could just rip off the band aid now and not have to worry about it later.
I know any potential Uncharted game would still be years away, but I would rather be living in the era of rumors drifting through the winds like now, than the decade of radio silence we've had to endure.
@DETfaninATL When you write RE4 (PS3 Version) is there something special about that version of the game or is it just the version you've played? I'm not familiar with the PS3 version of it.
I don't despise it like some. There's lots of things about it individually that are great, it just doesn't all blend together very well.
I would definitely love to see a remake-reimagining of it. RE9 does spell out the best kind of potential for a redo with the swapping characters. I would hate if there was just this permeant blotch in RE lore that most people don't like or never see because the game is what it is. Potentially in a decade we could see 6 redone ? Time will tell.
No hate. But can the 0.7% of you who voted RE6 please write in the comments and explain why, when lined up along everything else, literally every single RE game, that was your pick.
@cragis0001 I'm sure that number includes things like multiplayer titles, games like Destiny 2. Those would be the real money makers and Sony said they would continue to port the multiplayer experiences to other platforms.
I mean, hey, I want to be wrong. I ultimately sit on the fence about this from a logical standpoint. But the article does state the PC ports are only 1.5% of total revenue. 1.5% isn't nothing, but at what cost does it come with? Long term brand damage is the answer. Or at least how it's perceived. That's typically never good for anyone, including investors.
@LogicStrikesAgain The logic is there (no pun intended) I just don't think the money is. How much could Sony seriously make from their own launcher that would justify the costs of PC development? It's a catch-22 each way you slice it.
Sony just has to pick their poison, drink it and smile, I suppose.
I'm just grateful I got Uncharted and both The Last of Us games on PC. They look terrific and play great at such high frame rates on ultrawide monitors.
I will feel my eye twitch in the future though when new Uncharted and The Last of Us games happen and I can't play them on PC though.

Re: 'It's So Sad They're No Longer Around': Fumito Ueda Would Have Liked to Remake ICO with Shuttered Sony Studio Bluepoint
Even Ueda wanted a remake for ICO.
Bluepoint would have done so well with that game. I'm depressed we won't have it now.
Re: Poll: Who Had the Best Not-E3 Livestream This Week?
That picture of Geoff in the thumbnail will never get old.

Re: Resident Evil Veronica Confirmed for PS5, Out in 2027
If you believe Dusk Golem, we are entering the thick of an absolute tidal wave of Resident Evil games these next few years.
Re: Gen Atlas Is ICO, The Last Guardian Creator's Next Game
I don't have to watch the trailer to decide if I'll buy this game.

Re: Talking Point: Sony, Don't Re-Reveal Fairgames at the Next State of Play
They should just reveal it at Summer Games Fest. I think that is the perfect spot to put something like that out there.
If they can reveal Intergalactic at The Game Awards then it's doable.

Re: Poll: Sony's Killing Its PS5 PC Ports - But Do You Agree with Its Decision?
@nessisonett that would have been the dream. It feels strange with only the PS4 Uncharted's being on PC.
Even if they remake the first 3, the PS4 generation will now just stand alone on PC.

Yes. Give me more Saudi funded projects based on an 80 year old British IP. This is exactly what I had in mind for the future of video games.
