If you thought you were obsessed with the incoming GTA 6, you've got nothing on the person currently investigating Rockstar North in the most ridiculous ways.
Reddit user Then-Pomegranate-625 has spent the last week or so outside the development studio's premises, hoping to gather any and all information they can, with a view to learning more about the massively anticipated crime sandbox.
They began by setting up acoustic equipment around Rockstar's offices, specifically near a meeting room, to measure audio levels inside the building.
When returning to the setup, the equipment was gone, presumably removed by security (or maybe just stolen).
Their next move was to keep a record of vehicular traffic at Rockstar North, keeping a log of how many cars arrived at what time, an estimated total value of the cars, and noting any particularly expensive models. The aim here was to see "how many executives may be spending time at the HQ as opposed to regular employees."
Their theory is that, if more high-profile personnel (those driving the fanciest cars, of course) is in attendance more often, the elusive third GTA 6 trailer must be on the way soon.
It doesn't end there.
Then-Pomegranate-625's next move was to instead monitor oxygen levels. Yes, really.
Based on data received from their sensor setup, some big dips down to around 20% after 5pm suggested a higher rate of oxygen consumption. In other words, more employees on site, ipso facto, trailer 3 is coming soon.
It doesn't end there.
Their next method? Counting cigarette butts outside Rockstar.
The theory is that a higher concentration of cigarettes means employees were more stressed than usual; they counted 71 cigarettes over 19 hours, with 11 cars present and an average of 2/10 people being smokers. Again, heightened stress means trailer 3 is inbound.
Furthermore, similarly to noting down extravagant vehicles, they've been taking a look at shoes of employees to see if particularly fancy brands are walking into the building.
I mean, this is some next level stuff. I kind of respect it.
GTA 6 is driving people to such extraordinary lengths, and not even for a whiff of the game; these people are just hoping to learn when the next trailer drops.
Obviously, laying it all out like this, it seems like madness. How could any of these data points really tell us anything about GTA 6? It seems like wildly unhinged behaviour.
But... what if they're right?
