Multiplayer was one of the best features in the first game, its was and still is absolutely fantastic. This news has ruined my day.

@themcnoisy I have done, literally bought my daughter a PS4 yesterday. Previously she had an Xbox 360. The point I was making was that cross play is useful and welcomed by many people, just because you deem it an unfair advantage... I presume because your a "pro gamer" doesn't mean it not a fantastic move in the right direction for many people. Kids especially find this useful, the fact my son can play with his friends from school who are using a Switch or Xbox is a wonderful and fantastic feature.

@David187 Epic Games literally enabled cross play without ANY input from Sony. This was reported when gamers noticed they had players from other consoles in their lobby.

Also, who do you think runs the game servers? Its cetainly not Sony. Each developer will run their own servers so stress on the network is down to the dev/publisher who by the sounds of it are sat waiting and ready (in the case on War Thunder dev anyways).

@David187 The stupidity in these comments is unreal, Sony isn't running a Beta, cross play requires ZERO input from Sony. It's purely a legal grip they have over developers. Fortnite was cross play without them even knowing, the developers can literally flip a switch and enable cross play.

@themcnoisy cross play allows me to play games with My kids who now love many hours away, I can play and talk to them no matter what device they use, if your that bothered about a competitive advantage don't join cross play lobbies, it's not rocket science.

@Athrum You can increase inventory via items in the game. Limited inventory is perfect for a game like this anyway, makes you think and plan.

This just shows how out of touch most gamers are, microtransactions account for billions in profit for EA, they are around to stay and no matter how much you dislike them, your the minority. Microtransactions have been unbelievably successful for publishers and developers, they'll never go away.

It's wrong to compare, you can pile up Xbox exclusives and they won't get the same sales and just one PS4 exclusive, sea of thieves looks great and I'll get it but it's not going to be a big seller, neither is crackdown or state of decay, do we really think they'd be pulling this stunt if Halo 6 was 3 months away?

Sony needs to do cross play, this is getting beyond a joke, especially since it's so easy, how enabling this would benefit just Xbox is beyond me, shouldn't Sony be all over this? Why are Microsoft so up for it yet Sony aren't?

It would be good for everyone, those that don't want this have no friends

Sony should do this, if Microsoft are making stupid requests like requiring Xbox live on all PS4s then tell us rather than making everyone think they are the ones who are holding things back.

I quite like it, when I worked in ICT all the oldies moaned about changes we implemented, for a week or two anyways, until they actually used it and realised it was better allround for everyone

I won't hold my breathe, consoles have been waiting for a game like this for ages, I class it in the same bracket as Dayz and H1Z1 and they still aren't on consoles. Ark is the only fun survival game that's come out that actually uses multiplayer and it's a joke it's the only one out

Sounds like its been recorded inside a large warehouse, when it switching to the cockpit camera it sounded unreal, its going to be a cracking game this.

Oh god I'm so tempted to buy this now but will I play it when I have my switch and Zelda in my hands? These games just require so much time and I don't know if I can give it the love and attention it requires

It's a great game and I've spent more time playing Ark than the majority of AAA titles

I never got to play the first either, the turn-based battle system really put me off, I hope they have kept the familiars though, I thought the Pokemon style feature was awesome.

Glad it's good, looking forward to picking this up in a week or two, if anything it's made me want a RE2 remake sooner rather than later!

Any news of that Star Wars game that's coming out? We saw a 30 second clip a while back and it looked stunning!

It just looks the same to me, feels like it's just one big cash grab, instead of remastering skyrim (which it didn't need) I wish they had done Oblivion.

It's a shame that Destiny is classed as a success, personally I think it was a utterly CRAP game and Bungie have completely lost my trust.

PS3 let me plug in a USB drive and play music and videos, PS4 has nothing, its a backwards step and the fact YouTube is missing is also a disgrace, it needs sorting, the console will be a year old soon.

I like the idea, I'm literally playing it right now on my mates xb1 but the fact they ignored ps4 initially means I'd rather spend my money on a different title, I also dislike EA. Keep it on xb1 for all I care

@charlesnarles look at what unreal tournament did on PS3, it was more or less a release title and you could download PC made maps onto a pen drive and import them into the game, it was awesome playing the best community made maps on the PS3!!!

I predict the PS4 wins.

Making games doesn't have to be hard, it just needs someone in charge who actually plays games and has seen the movies, the end result could be amazing!

I expected this game to be the best game ever for PS4, especially after seeing that first trailer, then they announced it as free2play then the new trailers with stupid music and lame ass voice overs from the future, this game has been RUINED, they need to work extra hard for me to get back interested in this game!!!

I don't think I would use PS NOW for newish games, I'm hoping they fill it with PS1, PS2 and a selection of PS3 games.

I wide selection of older titles will interest the old gamers 25+ who have the money to pay for another subscription, I can't wait to be fair!!!

Bungee don't make bad games, watchdogs looked amazing in the trailers but the leaked footage looked really bad!

Destiny is going to be awesome I just hope they do more videos showing off the games features, not seen enough of how the game actually works
