Conventions are like clickers: they sneak up on you. We’ve only just washed our hands of E3 2014 a few months back, but already GamesCom 2014 is lurking – and as usual, Sony is planning to have a pretty big presence at the show. A recent leak revealed that announcements may include Journey, The Unfinished Swan, and Until Dawn for the PlayStation 4, with the curtain set to be raised during the platform holder’s press conference on 12th August.
And writing on the PlayStation Blog regarding the Japanese giant’s plans, Sony employee Fred Dutton hinted that it’s going to be an exciting show. “We’ll have more info for you a little later this week,” he assured eager fans. “Lots of good stuff planned.” In a second comment, he added that he’s “really looking forward to this year’s show”, and applied a winking face to the end of his message. All aboard the hype train.
As with any big convention, rumours are rife regarding major reveals. There’s speculation that both Media Molecule and Guerrilla Games could unveil their in-production PS4 projects, but we’d settle for a longer look at The Order: 1886, Bloodborne, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Of course, if the manufacturer wants to roll out RIME as well, we certainly won’t complain. What would you like to see? Plot your perfect presentation in the comments section below.

I 66% believe that. If we include services 80%.
I can't wait for GamesCom.
As well as showing off the already mentioned games, they given details on PlayStation Now in Europe and also announce a subscription payment for it, a quick response to peoples concerns about the pricing!
Hour long presentation devoted to Powers. You heard it here first.
Youtube and when will I be able to plug a usb drive into my PS4 so I can watch films.
You can use plex to watch movies Don't know more solutions
PS3 let me plug in a USB drive and play music and videos, PS4 has nothing, its a backwards step and the fact YouTube is missing is also a disgrace, it needs sorting, the console will be a year old soon.
@DirectAim Tbh I think you better off using the browser with you tube bookmarked its way better than a crappy app imo
I ll be happy to see Bloodborne and Uncharted 4 everything else is bonus
People shouldnt be too disappointed if they dont see the games they are waiting for from Sony Studios. they ll come when ready, thats the main point
Announce just one AAA psvita (western) is enough for my faith to restore. For ps4 i am already have enough wishlist for 2014 so anything is okay
Journey is of course day one buy
Yep I was disappointed with RIME's absence at E3 so hopefully it'll make an appearance.
Would also like some Uncharted gameplay footage! Thanks for listening Sony
@divinelite "Announce just one AAA psvita (western)"
Agreed. There must be at least one AAA Vita game in the works right?
@Dodoo Minecraft.
What I'd like to see at EVERY convention is a SURPRISE game. Something No one was expecting. New IPs preferred.
All I care for is WWE 2K15
VITA VITA VITA. powers :/
@get2sammyb

@SimonAdebisi See #16
@get2sammyb Yeah forgot about that though I have zero interest in it so that's probably why!
Think what I mean't was a Sony first party AAA on Vita like Uncharted, Infamous etc...
the new RPG GG is making and Everquest 3.
on a note that isn't serious at all: Fallout 4, now that would be a kick in the peaches.
Hmm wonder if they will yet again forget about VITA... You watch the only announcements will be minecraft and freedom wars
I'm expecting the GG RPG and MediaMolecule games to be revealed. And maybe first footage of the Ratchet & Clank remake?
I'm sure they have at least one or two unannounced big games for the ps vita if they show it and have the time.
I would like to hear a European release dates for Freedom Wars, Gravity Rush 2 and Phantasy Star Nova.
I would also like to see dates for Metal Gear 5, Persona 5 and more on Dragon Age Inquisition - hopefully a PS4 bundle so I can treat myself to the new game.
I'd like to see Vita get some more attention at GamesCom than it did at E3. Sony has to prove they see Vita as more than just a PS4 accessory for it to thrive as a standalone handheld device.
How about an introduction to Guerrilla Games' top secret new IP? Some more footage of the The Order would be nice. Please remind us PS4 has some exclusives coming down the pike.
Yeah I'm still gonna temper my expectations, Because they said the same thing about E3 and they only announced one big Triple A title for PS4 which was Bloodborne. Hopefully they make up for their underwhelming E3.
Well, they also announced LBP3 at E3. I really hope there's one more big exclusive for this Fall/Holiday. It feels like they need one more game to complete the picture. Maybe The Witness will be ready by year's end? Galak-Z? Planetside 2 would fit in nicely.
We haven't heard anything at all about RIME, just the trailer last year that invoked Journey, Shadow of the Colossus, and Ico, which basically screamed "here's our cool new artistic game". I was pretty pumped, but I hope we get some details now. I don't even know if it's a full retail release, or a smaller downloadable game.
