Re: Feature: 8 PS5, PS4 Predictions for The Game Awards 2022

Personally, I think HFW wasn't a disappointment but more lack luster really. The beautiful scenery coupled with a average story is what held it back.

Like the story was very predictable once you complete a quarter of the game.

I hope we get some surprising trailers and maybe one or 2 cool announcements.

Re: Japan Simply Isn't Enough Anymore as Square Enix Calls Global Market a 'Critical' Priority

I just think in genreral, some gamers get put off by the quirkiness of Japanese games. Like 20yrs ago not alot of ppl paid or bother to play a JRPG in America and it is still the same now. They have modernized the hell of Final Fantasy for the western audience and personally for me I dont like it, but, because of that they found success.

Anime has definitely helped but most ppl in the casual market want FPS/3rd shooter, AAA, and your occasional Animal Crossing games.

I will always love Japanese games, most of my favorite games are Japanese, western games put me off(not all)because some try to put their social commentary into it and I am not here for that.

Re: PS5 Players Don't Want to See 60fps Die Out

So a PS5 pro wouldn't matter if these developers dont want to make their games 60fps.

To me, $60-$100 games should be 60fps no matter what now. In this gen console it is expected now. It does help that Plague Tale was on gamepass so you can let it go, but, not Gotham Knights. You want ppl to pay for day 1 releases at full price, then it better be 60fps.

Re: Reaction: PS5 Price Hike a Sobering Sign of the Times

Sony is going to the feel squeeze next year with prices of games and console prices. Realizing that gaming is a hobby and there cheaper hobbies out there to replace it. From their PS premium to console prices, Sony has been missing the mark with this gen and it comes from the top Jim Ryan. He's not prioritizing us consumers anymore it is just for him and shareholders.

Re: PS5 Price Increase Confirmed for UK, Europe, Japan, Canada, and More

Chips shortages and recession isn't a good excuse for a company who are proud to announce when they're recording record breaking profits.

And those defending it need to see for what it is, PlayStation dominates the gaming market in alot of these countries so of course they will squeeze out more out of their customers, it is business 101, if you can do it you will. Where in the US they have strong competition from MS, they cant do it here or else the XSS looks even better at $299.

Feelings and loyalty to a brand shouldn't be used as way to justify price hikes, and even worse supporting it makes it part of the problem.
