Often dubbed the 'Super Smash Bros. of anime and manga', J-Stars Victory VS+ throws together some of Japan's most popular creations into one big fighting game, and it's finally heading West.
After years of pleading, the series will be blasting onto PS4, PS3, and Vita next summer, boasting an all new arcade mode for its Western audience. Publisher Bandai Namco already has a rather stellar set of releases lined up for 2015, but for many fans, this announcement will have no doubt made their holidays.
Check out the tiny teaser trailer that we've embedded, and fight for your favourite series in the comments section below.

What an absolutely insane time for anime fans!
No way, I'm a huge Shonen Jump fan. I was gonna import this like I did with the Jump games on DS, but now I won't have to. I wonder if that + means more series like DeathNote, Slam Dunk, Kinnikuman or Cobra making its way to the roster. Honestly, I think games based off anime and manga usually suck. But I'm a sucker when it comes to crossovers. Can't wait for this.
Do we know yet if Bandai Namco will be including English voices?
This is awesome! There are a few series I need to watch so I am acquainted with the characters, but I've got plenty of time to do that...
@ToddlerNaruto Japanese audio only, I believe.
@ShogunRok Darn, but oh well. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised anymore, especially after Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment and Tales of Heart R.
I'm am completely stunned.
But seriously, this is incredible.
Awesome!i can't believe it, they actually bringing this over! Thank you Bandai Namco!
Full screen on 1 vs 1 please
Yeah, trailer tells me nothing.
SUGEEEH! in Luffy's voice
Can't wait to play with Luffy, Ace, Gon, Killua, Goku and Tsuna and REBAHN XD
Brilliant news! Still hoping for gundam breaker to come west though lol would love to understand the story
Storm 4, pirate warriors 3, and victory vs........................
@ShogunRok @ToddlerNaruto well when I asked Bandai Namco about it earlier this year they said it was having problems with licencing so I'm guessing the reason for having no english dub is because they couldn't get permission from from all the licence holders and the fact not all the series that are represented in the game are even licenced at all in the UK or U.S
Then they should bring naruto shippuden game to vita too!!!
That's great. Please tell Light Yagami is in this game, cause he's the the man. It's also a shame there won't be English dubs in the game. It just won't be the same without them since I watch with dubs.
2015 will be awesome. Hope all anime games stand to our expectations!
Omg this was definitely outstanding news to wake up to. There were so many times I almost bought this game at import shops for $100 and thank god I didn't because now I can get the ps4 and vita version with that money )))))
"tiny teaser trailer" Tiny is an understatement.
Here's some Youtube footage for anybody interested.

Might be the SSB of anime but it plays like DBZ, which is a good thing in my book.
Both this and Godzilla next summer on my last gen PS3. gotta love it.
OMFG! I can't believe this is happening. Time to get a PS4 for this and Persona 5.
Aaaand @TOMBOY25 already posted the Gif I was gonna use. Might double dip and get the PS4 and Vita versions when I can. And no dub is fine. Half the series aren't even represented in English. Gonna be annoying having Goku sound like a little girl, though...
@rjejr Looking in the comments there are a lot of people saying this will never come to the west
It's not April right now, is it!?
@FullbringIchigo True, there's no dub for JoJo or Gintama, unless you count the first Gintama movie Sentai dubbed.
@Jaz007 Nice to know another fellow dub fan on here.
@CanisWolfred Half? Toriko has a dub, and so does Kenshin, Naruto, Bleach, and DBZ. Heck even Gintama does, if you count that one movie.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi shows some character and potential arenas at least.
seems cool, Would having Levi from Attack on Titan be too soon? can't wait to see more of this.
@wittypixel attack on titan isn't a jump manga so it wouldn't be in the game
What do these games play like? Always been curious, I'm just not a big fan of crazy combo learning games so hopefully it's not like that
@FullbringIchigo what's a jump manga? I honestly thought the J was for Japanese lol. I haven't done any research on Attack on Titan
@wittypixel jump is the name of the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump and is published by Shueisha it runs series such as Bleach, One Piece and Toriko (also Dragon Ball and Naruto before they finished)
but Attack on Titan is in Monthly Shonen Magazine which is a spin off of Weekly Shonen Magazine and is published by Kodansha (the weekly one contains series such as Fairy Tail, Hajime no Ippo, and Nanatsu no Taizai AKA The Seven Deadly Sins)
as J-Stars Victory Vs is a Jump game (hence the J in the title) and a Shueisha game series from Kodansha like Attack on Titan won't be in the game (although a Shueisha and Kondansha cross over game could be epic if they ever did one)
@FullbringIchigo thanks for the info man.
Wow yet another wish come true , small ray of hope payed off
