We may still be nursing our Gamescom 2014 hangover with a packet of paracetamol, but the release calendar is not going to give us time to dawdle on the job. This is a surprisingly stacked week for all three PlayStation platforms, with no less than 11 new titles due out on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Vita. The highlights undoubtedly include Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition and Tales of Xillia 2, though it’s Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare that we’ve taken a particular lichen to – moss-ly because it’s just so pun-tastic. Alright, we’ll stop.
Pick of the Week: Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare sowed its seeds on various Xbox platforms earlier this year, attracting more buzz than an in-bloom blossom tree. Unlike other entries in the series, this takes the brand’s botanical battlefield to the next level, swapping tower defence for more traditional third-person gunplay. Featuring both co-operative and competitive game types, this has proved a real grower on competing games consoles.
Seriously, though, if you can’t cedar wood for the trees, then the PlayStation 4 version really does sound like the best of the bunch. In addition to running at a native 1080p resolution, it also includes split-screen co-op and a ton of content based on some of Sony’s most popular properties, including Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank, and Fat Princess. Will you be garden your patch in this game? We really will stop this time.

Wont be buying any of these, plants vs zombies does look fun tho but keeping the pennies for destiny
Do we have an EU price on sword art online yet?
Diablo III for me been waiting for that since I got my PS4
I have no idea what 'The Last Tinker' is....off to google.....hmm I thought it might interest me, but no. There is a lot of content this week but I can't say I'll be getting any of it, I only just impulse bought Hohokum yesterday and haven't played it yet to see if I wasted my money. Diablo 3 will have to go down in price before I buy it.
@Munkyknuts Hohokum is weird. I'm not sure what to think of it.
@get2sammyb I'm good with weird...weird would be my middle name, if it wasn't Gareth but how much of a game there actually is in Hohokum seems to be debatable. I'm ok with minimalist games....but recently things like Proteous have left me cold, as did Doki Doki World.
review of Sword Art incoming?
Diablo , hotline and plants for me
Sword Art Online, the game I've been watching for months (well one of them ). Should help stave me off till Destiny and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.
@irken004 Yes, don't have an ETA though.
Will probably get Diablo III later like this Christmas break when I get a second Dualshock 4, so me and my little brother can play co-op.
Nothing appeals. Is Hotline Miami cross buy? As I already have it on Vita. I'd like to play Diablo III, but only on vita.
@SimonAdebisi the remote play is ment to be horrendous
@SimonAdebisi Hotline is meant to be crossbuy I believe.
PvZ garden warfare already preordered and ready to preload
DIABLO III: Ultimate Evil Edition obviously for my PS4, and Hotline Miami as you get it free (cross-buy) if you already own it.
My girlfriend and I are perfectly happy with the PS3 version of Diablo 3 that we bought last summer, so no need for the Ultimate Evil Edition.
Personally Tales of Xillia 2 is the only game on this list that I plan to pick up.
If I had a PS4 right now I would get Plants vs Zombies
You guys gonna review the PS3 version of Diablo III:UEE?
@CanisWolfred We're reviewing the PS4 version. Should be ready any day now.
@XFsWorld It's also on 360 and X1. I was gonna buy it but no single player offline. Just online competitive and now, local co-op too. Maybe if you ever get a PS4 or X1, and buy the game, I'll pick it up too. Then we can go to war with sunflowers and spuds
@get2sammyb That's too bad. I won't be getting the PS4 version.
@JaxonH Cool, getting the PS4 next month and will pick up Plants vs Zombies at some point.
Gonna get diablo 3 on my xboxone, to give it some love. Here in the U.S. Infamous first light comes out tomorrow, I'll get that for my ps4!
How much is the digital version of PVZ Garden Warfare going to cost? The price will determine when I will be able to get the game.
Picking up Hotline Miami definitely. Best. Indie. Ever.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment is mine and i don't have any feel to get CounterSpy since it's coming to mobiles.
Diablo for me but tbh just per ordered destiny so I'll probably wait a few weeks as I doubt I'll be playing much of anything else after that bad boy is on my hard drive
Picking up xillia 2 after work. I want garden warfare but not for full price. Ill pick it up in when I have less coming out I want.
So SAO gets released in a few hours (once ps store updates) and I still can't find a frickin price for it
Will there be two reviews of Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare for each Sony Console? I'd love to compare both reviews along with my experience with Garden Warfare on PC. I would really like to know what the differences are between the PC, PS4, and PS3 versions of the game since I'm thinking about buying it on PS3.
