@pip_muzz it's definitely Take Two they added the entire WNBA teams and legacy teams and a WNBA MyCareer ( even tho no ones gonna play it ) I mean my copy of 2k19 only eats like 60gb

@God_of_Nowt yeah I wish they haven't closed down their studios I actually shed a tear when they closed down Zipper and Evolution they could really use those talents to expand their portfolio

@God_of_Nowt it's more like a change in strategies and adapting due to the home console market in Japan has stagnated and for Sony to compete with Nintendo they released Mobile games and is now dominating the Japanese mobile gaming market to the point that Sony's most successful game is mobile ( FGO ) and their mobile gaming sector have a higher profit than the entire Nintendo Switch system.

It's clear they still love Japan but they are basically adapting to changing times and with PlayStation having no plans in making a handheld Sony is now focusing its Japanese gaming market using mobile gaming with the IPs they owned thru Aniplex and Sony Entertainment Japan

@Old-Red impossible people always forget that Sony is like the 50th biggest company in the world and the 5th biggest company in Japan with a market cap of $230 billion with over $17 billion in printed money stored in their coffers ( the most cash-rich Japanese company ) with little to no liabilities they could easily match MS buyouts if they wanted to. It will be impossible for them to turn into Sega because they got billions of dollars unlike Sega

@Rob_230 they probably felt a little disappointed the fact that their sales in Japan stagnated ( sold around 10million units ) even though Sony put a ton of support in many Japanese publishers and games they probably thinking the bygone days where the PS1 and PS2 sold over 20million units in Japan now countries like France and Germany basically are the ones that are selling over 20million units with lesser games compare to their Japanese counterpart

They still have their mobile games which basically control the entire Japanese mobile gaming market but their probably disappointed it is not same thing for PlayStation

@graysoncharles they could advertise it whatever they want but it will be hard for MS to defeat the Japanese hatred on Western things this is why cars like Ford and Chevrolet left Japan. H&M never stood a chance against Uniqlo. and Nike and Adidas got beat by Asics and Mizuno. FFS the Xperia still had a 30% market share of all smartphones sold in Japan and nobody outside of Japan and Europe buys an Xperia

Well to be fair on Sony they absolutely dominated the mobile gaming scene in Japan thanks for them making games like Madoka Magica and Fate:Grand Order and Demon Slayer that already netted them billions maybe this means that Sony probably going to strengthen their hold on the mobile gaming scene to compete with Nintendo instead of just focusing on PlayStation

@Severian dude Crunchyroll are owned by AT&T not exactly small are they and Sony Aniplex lineup has been amazing this year and I don't see any censor in fact Sony are the ones that are known in the industry in making sexually infused animes like OreImo SAO, Eromanga-sensei, Seven Deadly Sins and to the point their works are getting banned in Australia

And AT&T really need to jettison this they are like $200billion in debt and this sale will help to to pay off some of their debt

@Shigurui heck even in my level (30) I could feel it I'm running out of ascension materials running out of Mora running out of EXP cards only have like 100 Primogems and i only got 3 moon fragments left and I barely leveled 50 5 characters on my squad ( MC, Fischl, Mona, Kaeya and Diluc )

I wish they lessen the Resin consumption by at least 10 so it would be better and less hassle to grind for Weapons ascension, Mona and EXP cards

And oh yeah the market does not reset the inventory like WUT!?

I'm basically doing daily quests and killing Regisvines cause I am AR 30 which means story wise I'm closing to the end it is a great game but you gonna be pissed off by the resins I mean 20 for a Ley Line can you not make it 10 this is why I spend like 2hrs a day on this game just doing a couple of Ley lines and killing Regisvines collecting ascension materials for both weapon and character

As for Gacha it is literally all about luck I literally got Mona and Diluc without spending a dime and around 10 4* weapons in the Gacha but you better off saving your primogems for the character you really want if the Gacha system hates you ( which in my previous F2P Gacha experience usually takes up months )

@StevieJ_UK1 yeah hoping they fixed the licensing issue cause when I read the article it included more than a 1,200 anime licenses in the deal which is basically the entire catalogue but I don't expect a name change or a merger more like Crunchyroll gets Funimation anime and Funimation gets Crunchyroll anime probably Sony is doing a perceive competition with two different brands on the same market just like Facebook and Instagram

@StevieJ_UK1 not anymore if they created sequels I know Demon Slayer got it ( heck even won the award at Crunchyroll ) but if the movie came out it will be an exclusive and the SAO I referring is the new one so is the upcoming S2 of Promised Neverland and the new Saekano Movie and I don't remember Crunchyroll having Kaguya-sama: Love is War or at least the latest season

@Snake_V5 as of now Funimation they got an amazing lineup compare to Crunchyroll like Demon Slayer Love is War, Fire Force Saekano, Promised Neverland and SAO:Alicization and Bunny Girl Senpai heck some Netflix produced shows are now on Funimation

@FX102A because Aniplex used to make shows for Crunchyroll but when they bought Funimation the inflow of new animes for Crunchyroll stopped since Sony prioritized putting their animes on their own platform so now Crunchyroll had to produce animes like Sony does so series like Tower of God and God of Highschool exists

We just gonna need Post Malone on this one tho

@AhabSpampurse could agree more the Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Black Flag and Far Cry 3 were amazing games but after that was a sea of mediocrity from Ubisoft their games are literally synonymous with mediocrity

@wiiware Damm I still remember the days when SIE produced anime games ( they were quite obsessed with the Bleach Series ) heck I remember that the last game Sony published for the Vita is an anime game

Wow Ubisoft are really the masters of making the most mediocre games out there

But seriously Aniplex needed an Anime games division that is separate from PlayStation it has a treasure trove of IPs that a developer like Level-5 can work with it and stop loaning it to Bandai Namco just to make a mediocre fighting game

This makes sense considering the fact Sony is the Anime market leader for the last decade heck one of their movies just grossed over 100m dollars for an anime movie it is huge and do not forget Sony's most successful game is an anime game ( Fate Grand Order ) that has grossed more than $5b and the game did not even launch world-wide it is only on NA Japan Australia Southeast Asia and China and Korea

As for Ryan I hope he proves to be worthy I mean the guy has been PS COO for like 5 years which means he is a capable leader before getting the big one and heck they just switched places with Kodera ( yes he is still there )

@Omnistalgic I was actually quite shocked on how much overpayment MS did on Bethesda considering the fact that two of their biggest IPs ( TES and Fallout ) grossed around 5 billion combined FFS Sony's most successful game ( Fate Grand Order ) grossed more and the game is barely 5 years old heck even a PlayStation franchise like Gran Turismo grossed more.

So for me Sony is basically need to nurture further their studios like expanding their teams for more input and smart acquisition with PS second-party devs like BluePoint, HouseMarque and Kojima Productions and making deals with PS- centric publishers like Square Enix, Capcom and Take-Two

I still could not forget how crap the movie is to the point it's not even funny I will rather watch the Live-action Dragon Ball because I could actually laugh how terrible it is

I could see this as some sort of a controlled test to see if they could meet the selling quota without the customers and staff exposing themselves that is why only Norway ( Small Market ) was picked I mean no offense if this happens on GameStop they will be shouting thru the rooftops by now

Doing a throwback a playing Jeanne D'Arc on the PSP quite possibly the best JRPG Sony has ever produced IMHO

I wish this thing as a sequel with different protagonist on different eras of the samurai with next sequel being about a samurai under Nobunaga during the Sengoku Jidai ( and call it the Ghost of Owari ) and the third part will all about the end of the samurai ( during the Bakumatsu period ) where you are a member of the Shinsengumi trying to preserve the way of the samurai and call it the "Ghost of the Shinsengumi"

@get2sammyb that is not even their fourth pillar if it was entertainment then yes it's their fourth pillar ( music, movies and TV shows, Video Games and Animes ) Sony's fourth pillar is their banking and insurance ( one of the biggest in Japan )

@NomNom 1.5 billion is still a lot( FYI Sony paid 200 million for Funimation ) but it could rise to 2-2.5 billion USD just because Sony need to put in resources to keep Crunchyroll running so I think that Sony would rather buy Warner's entire Anime division for that price tag even higher Warner owns anime studios ( J.C Staff being one of those ) and have exclusives animation rights to IPs like JoJo Bizzare Adventures, Food Wars and A Certain Magical Index. They also have a music division that focuses on anisongs. If Sony does this then they basically created an anime empire heck even Universal decided to put their Anime's on Funimation ( Fire Force being prime example )

@nessisonett Sony Aniplex should have it's own game division ( The only game studios they have is mobile games specifically F:GO ) instead of loaning their IPs ( ie. Sword Art Online Fate Series and Fairy Tail ) to publishers like Bandai Namco, Marvelous and Koei Tecmo ( usually when these publishers make these games there usually bad to mediocre at best )

I mean how the f*ck Microsoft would remove Paid online it is a great revenue stream and how would Gamepass would cover the cost of :
1. Server Maintenance
2. Third-party Cut
3. First-party Cut

I mean I know they are being pro-consumer but there is a line that is drawn. People forget that Xbox is independent entity to Microsoft ( which means they cannot just get MS billions). They cannot possibly afford all of this with just Gamepass sales even with the best Accountant running their books it would be near impossible to turn a profit

Why is Microsoft interested in making an exclusive patch to a PS4 game that is already a year old and I personally hate it due to the fact they changed the combat system ( I could not throw anyone at Wild Jackson's anymore ) and the most uninspired Yakuza protagonist ever ( Ichiban clearly lacks the character depth that Kiryu and Majima has ) IMO they should end the series with the Song of Life

And if they show Fable I think this the reason why PS are warming up to Bethesda ( while ditching Ubisoft ) probably for Elder Scrolls with exclusive content just like in CoD
