Phil Spencer clearly does not know what he is doing he has been in the helm for 7 years and just accepted mediocrity the XBONE failure is not Mattrick's fault it's HIS fault for failing to turn the ship around remember when Sony turned the ship around after the disasterous PS3 reveal ( more disasterous that the XBONE reveal )
I think this is a good acquisition if they got it they will get Digital Extremes (a solid Multiplayer Dev) Splash Damage ( co-developed the MPs in Gears and Halo ) and other more studios ( I think there are 6 studios ) and Leyou also owns 80% of SNK Playmore ( which means KoF and Samurai Showdown are probably PS5 Exclusives since PS is lacking Exclusive Arcade fighters ) If Sony wants to establish a multiplayer presence this is a solid acquisition since Bungie are probably have no interested in being locked in a console or publisher
I think I know why Sony is still producing PS4s until the middle of the PS5 generation probably the reason is to maintain a presence in certain countries like India and Central and South America and South East Asia where not all people don't have $300 to drop on a console so they probably going to sell it on around $150 at least we already saw this in the PS2 era where they still selling like hotcakes even when the PS3 is released
