Anybody played disco elysium recently? Been holding off cos I heard it was rough at launch but seems an ideal time sink over Xmas if the bugs have been ironed out by now. Happy Xmas to all!

Agreed. Never know where I am with progress towards the next level and it’s pointless. The previous system was much better. Also, getting rid of the what’s new section on ps5 makes trophies a solitary experience now. I liked seeing what trophies freinds where earning, particularly if we where playing the same game.

@KleebanKliban totally agree mate, hope that came across in my comment. I was asking because I want to re earn the trophies. I wouldn’t play through a third time otherwise.

Couldn’t have put it better myself.
My PS4 is noisy and filthy, I can’t wait to unplug it and move on to the 5. I sure as hell won’t be playing AC syndicate on it, that’s for sure.

There seem to be folks on here worried about there game confirmation email (I was too). I ordered midnight of the showcase and I’ve just got my email (over 36 hrs later). If you have your order number I’m pretty sure you’ll get your email, it’s just taking longer. Good luck..!

I pre ordered from game, seemed to go ok but not had a confirmation email..that was about 30 mins ago.
I ordered from smyths too (just to be sure) and I’ve had an email from them. I only need one to come through..

Enjoying it so far, controls are silky smooth. Not very realistic though, I worked in horticulture for 20 years and believe me, you wouldn’t be hiding in pampas grass, that stuff is sharp af.

Sorry, this is unrelated to the article but I can’t find help anywhere. Why is the picture quality so bad?? I’m on an LG b9 oled and the image is atrocious. I thought it may be the tv so I put red dead on and it was crystal clear, is it just me or is it the game??

I really like it. I said on here the DualSense would grow on people and I think this design is the same. I seem to be in the minority because my set up is gloss white so this will sit in nicely. I like the look of the accessories too, I can see myself getting upsold at launch in game!

Wouldn’t mind giving it another go tbh. Put thousands of hours into D1 and played a bit of D2 but got bored and packed it in. There’s been so many seasons, dlcs and add ons that I’ve no idea what I’d have to buy and what’s free. Fancy it on ps5 tho.

Yesterday’s stream was average at best, compounded by the poor Valhalla reveal at the end. But that’s not what we’re up against here. Gears 5 and mine craft look stunning on series x and anyone who thinks halo won’t look stunning is likely mistaken, (how it plays is another story). Sure they could show hzd2 with all its bells and whistles and ‘win’ the ‘battle’ this week but Sony shouldn’t be putting 1st party heavyweights up against yesterday’s aa/indies and have nothing in the tank for the Xbox 1st party reveal in July. I’m desperate for info like everyone else but Sony need to be really careful here and I’m sure they are, hence the silence. This whole smart delivery nonsense is another story entirely. How Xbox have managed to turn what is essentially backwards compatibility into a ‘free’ series x game is totally beyond my comprehension and needs to be called out by someone far more intelligent than me!!

I love it, for those who don’t like it look at it a couple more times it’s a grower!!
I’ve always liked the clear vita buttons and this has them which is great.
I remember Sony knew they had the triggers all wrong and changed them for the ds4. I’m sure these will be fine they wouldn’t drop the ball after the feedback from gamers and developers.
Love the way the touchpad looks like it’s floating from the back. Still pretty useless though, I can’t help thinking there’s more to this touchpad than we know!!
10/10 Sony nice one.

Hi mate, I looked at this a little when it first came out but was put off by reviews saying the input lag was bad. What’s your thoughts as someone who obviously enjoys it?

I’m in the UK and it worked fine though there is no link to claim the freebies.
I’m an action hero, I mean I’ve been telling my wife for years but it’s great to finally have it confirmed.
Gran turismo, assassins creed odyssey and days gone are my top 3 played.

I’ve got a Samsung series six, it’s ten years old and absolute garbage now. The Picture quality is dreadful. I actually went to a store last week to buy a Samsung q8, saw all the new oleds from LG and Sony , got myself all confused and left without buying anything!! I’m gonna wait till April/may then try again. Like someone else said I’m buying a new tv and ps5 this year so I really need to get this bit right!!

I think it will be £499. Even then though you have to factor in it’s launch and most skus will be tied to bundles. I’ll want an extra controller and a couple of launch games so I’d expect to pay approx £600.
It seems expensive at that but I’ll use it almost everyday for the next 6 years so don’t mind.

Looks good. I can’t be doing with those 2nd play through hardest difficulty ones. I’ve got 95% on shadow of the tomb raider for exactly that reason. Never doing that for a plat.

Reminds me of Hawkeye on c64. I was an amstrad guy myself so whenever I saw parallax scrolling and colour at my mates I was blown away.

Regarding this X/O business is there a way to do it on a switch pro controller. After pressing x to confirm for 20 years I just can’t get used to the switch layout. I haven’t finished Zelda or bought any new games for exactly this reason. Cheers in advance folks.

Do you remember the first ever edition of official Dreamcast magazine? It was printed on really fancy paper and had a whole section for ‘lads’ fashion! Wasn’t long before it changed to something more traditional.
I used to read mags for the reviews then rush out and buy the top scoring games. These days I’ve usually completed a game before the mag hits the shelves.

I’m on hols in Mexico at the mo and don’t get back till next Thursday. I’ve promised my wife we’ll play this first but seeing all the Spider-Man vids is proving quite tempting! Still, a deals a deal so it’s gonna be tomb raider first then spider man second. Not watched many trailers by choice so going into this relatively blind thankfully.
