Shadow of mordor would be cool, bloodborne is probably wishful thinking. Night in the woods or inside but prob gonna buy night in the woods next week anyway. Actually probably not cos persona 5...

I bought 2 copies of the game at launch (my sons on Xbox). Both season passes, taken king, rise of iron on both consoles god knows how many tenners I gave him to do raids for me and it was worth every penny because it was far and away our most played game. The only issue I have with destiny is the claws it got into me for such a long time. Before anyone says 'just play something else', don't. Because believe me I tried. I couldn't let it go for over 2 years. All in all, money well spent I say and looking forward to 2!

I don't purposely look for spoilers but if I'm drunk watching YouTube who knows where I'll end up!!

Plus, I was big into destiny year 1 and 2. I'd have to have waited almost 3 years for the 'best' version.

I kinda understand what you're getting at but I waited 3 years for witcher 3 and no way was I waiting 1 more! I played it from day one and loved it. I wouldn't think your experience was any different than mine in terms of how much we enjoyed it, regardless of when we played it.

My 'wife won't watch game' is dark souls 3..she hates it though to be fair I don't get much enjoyment out of it myself!!
I've just got the plat on horizon and we're starting breath of the wild tomorrow cos we're off work and gonna have a beer.
Next PS4 game is gonna be persona 5. Just cannot wait for that!

My favourite game is ocarina of time, I love elder scrolls, bioshock, uncharted. I've always loved rpgs since doomdarks revenge on zx spectrum!! I love fantasy games and so does my wife (she watches, I play). I really tried with dragon age because it's a game we should both like, and I put about 30 hrs into it. Once I got out of the hinterlands it just didn't go anywhere for me. Like I said, I gave it my best shot. If you enjoyed it then fair play!

Yes please!! Loved it on dream cast but never finished it. Couldn't get past the boss fight in the back of the plane!!! Aarrggh. Loved the zippo too!!

I don't see how a rubbish game can be any better if you buy it cheaper!? I'd rather pay full price for a good game any day of the week.

Fair enough mate, I don't agree but that's cool.

i suggested in a post a few weeks ago that zelda review scores would impact negatively on horizon but I'll admit I got that wrong, horizon is getting all the praise it deserves and more than holding its own. Zelda is Zelda and the fact we're all talking about it shows sammy was right. It's certainly got our mindshare this evening!! And ocarina is the greatest game of all time. Period. I played plenty of games before and I've played plenty since. Nothing compares. A 19 year old fps or Fifa gamer won't understand which is fair enough but if a series better than Zelda ever arrives I'll look forward to playing it.

Ha ha yeah I think it's the soundtrack that's most appealing. Music doesn't age that badly but 30 year old amiga shooters do!! Btw mc.. I loved ikaruga, it was hard as nails but the mechanics were interesting and I really dug the odd pseudo 3D scrolling. Prehistoric isle was my arcade shooter of choice!

Thunder force 4 was amazing. Took me ages to beat orn core (see what they did there). Also ikaruga or radiant silvergun would be awesome. Would love to replay xenon 2 but that's showing how old I am!

A remake of exhumed would be nice. That was a great fps with an Egyptian setting. (Probably hasn't aged well..)

50 gig, ha ha. I started downloading elder scrolls online on Monday- 79 gig!! Then on Tuesday a flamin update dropped -34 gig!!! Not a good start to my week off. Defo getting horizon now tho after sitting on the fence for a bit.

Aww man I'm really falling for this.. I've not been that interested to be honest and I should know better, I've been playing games for 35 years. But the relentless hype is really messing me up and I can't stop thinking about playing it!! Day 1 for me now, yep well and truly suckered! Ha ha

I want resogun 2. That's all. Can't play twin stick shooters cos I can't aim diagonally for some strange reason! Left and right though? Yeah, I can handle that!

Okay 'hit x to retry'..

Struggling to get to grips with it tbh. Maybe I'm trying to 'dark souls' my way through it. Is there a running attack? Can I keep hold of block and attack or do you have to release block? There seems to be a slight pause between performing attacks after blocking and it's doing my head in. This recharge ki stuff isn't gelling with me and I'm way too into ds3 at the mo to get used to these mechanics. I was great at the tutorial though!!

I'm a huge Sony fan I'll admit but I've bought every Nintendo console just for Zelda. In fact, I've pre ordered switch and giving it to my son when I complete it. The fact many are saying hzd and Zelda are similar ( I personally don't think so) only makes things more difficult for Sony because there is no way hzd will review better than Zelda. This in it's self isn't the problem, every YouTuber, online publication and magazine will be comparing the two and there is no way Nintendo will drop the ball with botw. If hzd gets 9 across the board and Zelda hits 10, that's negative press ( obviously not but hope you get what I mean!) . They should move it I reckon cos anyone who thinks Zelda won't be the most talked about game that week (pew die pie, stampy dan tdm) either hasn't played one or is too young to understand.

Can't wait for pyre. Transistor was stunning and if the same guys are doing the music and narration I'd buy it just for that. Probably should play bastion too.

There's a couple of games I've not bought that I thought would come to ps plus (shadow of mordor, alien isolation) but I've also played resogun and transistor which I think are 2 of the best games to grace ps plus. Bloodborne would be nice though!!

Looks great tbh. I haven't played it since I got the plat but I did enjoy it while it lasted. That shiny trophy will often kill a game for me, just couldn't find a reason to play anymore. I'll defo give the update a whirl tomorrow. Now I need some help.. I followed path of the atlas, got 10 atlas stones and left by mistake! Now I'm 'lost'. Any quick way back onto it? I hear it's not worth it but it's a shame not to finish it.

I couldn't get into the first one. Not sure why but it just wasn't for me. I can appreciate it for what it is and I've watched loads of vids but I just didn't enjoy playing it. I actually bought it twice but as my wife frequently tells me 'you're just useless at stealth'. Sums it up really. I hope it reviews well though and I'll enjoy watching the community come up with awesome ways of progressing through it.

Skyrim. I convinced myself I'd be able to complete all the side quests as they appeared and keep the quest log nice and clean. Ha ha no chance! I also managed to get dawnbreaker when I was pretty under levelled cos I used it constantly first time around. I can't upgrade it till smithing is level 60 but don't want to put it away!! I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying the game really considering the hours I put into it previously.

He said mario changed the standard for 3D gaming which it most certainly did, although it wasn't the first 3D game obviously. Certainly ocarina of time could be considered the pinnacle of that gen.
Regarding analogue control, the first time I saw or used it was nights into dreams on Saturn. Sony had a dual analogue controller sure but it wasn't used for camera control at that time. It was used to capture rogue simians in that all time classic ape escape! 😉

Gonna finally put witcher 3 to bed and finish the blood and wine dlc. I've chosen my path and I'm right at the end. Seriously fallen out of love with it since the Aerondight sword completely disappeared from my inventory. I've enjoyed every hour of it though but will be happy to draw a line under it. I've a week off work next week too roll on Tuesday (nms).

Hmmm..this is a toughie. Destiny pretty much spoilt 18 months for me cos I didn't play anything else. Far cry 4, bloodborne, shadow of mordor etc just sitting there waiting. Managed to escape for a couple of months and play fallout, division and uncharted but somehow it's got it's claws back into me. In fact as I write this I'm staring at my ship floating about in orbit pondering what to do next (there isn't anything!). I think I need help!! Can't. Stop. Playing.
