Re: Poll: Are You Still Playing The Division on PS4?

BrizzoUK

Traded back in for more money than I paid. Enjoyed it a bit but not being someone who plays with friends online it didn't last for me. Also, I play too many games to commit to games that request so much time to reward you. Enjoyed what I played though.

@JaxonH Yeah I have been following the threads on here, it's certainly very cloak and dagger from them in how they have approached all this! This is the problem though, like yourself I play many types of games, there's certainly no incentive investing in this right now... I hope they add enough to make this worthwhile as to me it looks great but knowing it starts with 16 characters with the rest dlc and coming out barebones with such a reliance on Internet (imho fighting games are the hardest to play online as any lag is obviously dire!) I can't see value right now. So hope this is well rectified next month! Always FE for you, we still don't have a date! Am getting Stella Glow though when it hits next month, that'll tide me by!!

@JaxonH Really hasn't been smooth has it?! I'm holding buying now until it's 50% off digital, given how the game is being distributed I may as well have it with easy access! I really wanna know how the fight money adds up as well. Just downloaded the IV 3ds version on sale because of all the recent V hype, it's reminded me how much I used to love this series as a kid (last played 2), but they really have made it hard to want to invest right away! Especially as I'm a button basher in SF at heart, I'd need a lot of practice in single player to hit the online!

Re: Review: The Witness (PS4)

@Paranoimia I get motion sick playing first person games with no reference point and I notice I do get it with this. With that knowledge in mind though I just take it carefully not jogging everywhere and turning carefully, also whil doing bits like this I'll look away for a bit to ensure I don't feel sick. It's that good a game I'm willing to risk it, it's also useful that you are only walking between puzzles so a good ten minutes solving a puzzle gave me enough of a break. Hope that helps!

Great game so far, really has an awesome flow to it, and id say definitely worth the entry fee if you fancy an epic puzzle! Also, has stumped me so much but makes me want to complete it without spoiling it for myself.

Re: Soapbox: Why I Don't Hate The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Anymore

I have this, bought in the last sale with everything included as I got cheap ps credit. Started playing at a silly time though and want to get back into it, problem is though I think I left myself in a crap situation as I spent all my money on Gwent cards (love that game!) and left mid mission with I believe zero useful supplies! I will come back though m, currently tackling xenoblade though. Those 2 and Fallout (and MGSV... Probably my GOTY) should not have come out in one year as I do play plenty of other games! Think I'm going to have to promise myself to only buy the big games when I can actually commit, that or accept that they may remain uncompleted!

Re: PlayStation VR Will Cost You at Least $400 Says Research Group

BrizzoUK

@thedevilsjester yeah true, I hope VR gets the investment in time so that issues like that get ironed out, I want to love it, but like many things that get written off as gimmicks because they didn't hit mainstream success, I can certainly see it struggle. Not that that would put me off, I mean I'm an enthusiastic Wii U player as well and that hasn't exactly gone far!

Re: PlayStation VR Will Cost You at Least $400 Says Research Group

I first realised I could get motion sick gaming when playing Everybody's gone to the rapture; I would need some serious game time with this before committing. I'd be willing to pay based on how good it is, sadly that means probably waiting for a sufficient library and I imagine many will be the same with VR and we're likely stuck in a catch 22 situation. That's why I'd hope they'd sell at a loss, but would Sony do that when they must clearly be making enough money off software on the PS4, does selling an accessory at a loss increase their bottom line by substantially improving game sales when these people already have a ps4 so are already invested in their game library? Basically, VR buyers would be people like us, gamers, who probably spent £500+ on games a year anyway, so does selling at a loss make sense at all? Short term, probably not, But for the success of VR as a whole, maybe.

Re: Sony: We Put Time and Money into PS2 Titles on PS4

Feel they should do an upgrade fee like Nintendo do, if you've had the digital one. It's not exactly possible to fairly track disc purchases and it's not like we were ever promised this at the time of purchase. Digital is different and there is much more a precedent for your library moving with you.

Re: PS4 Exclusives Dominate The Game Awards' Most Wanted

BrizzoUK

@rjejr Haha maybe it can have its own myth category... The enternal carrot. Imagine if the pull a 2 version Pokemon/FE style (or more aptly Oracles) on WiiU and NX... NL would explode with frothing anger.
I'm looking forward to U4, first ever play through in the Uncharted Collection and I loved them, well 1 was a slog, but had the makings of a great series. Also excited for R&C, I always ignored PlayStation 3D Platformers as I lived in my mighty n64/GC 3D platformer tower... Now I'll beg for any scraps going of 3D joy! Plus, it looks amazing, timeless graphical style, so it's a win in my book. With that and Tearaway I'll have more 3D Platformers on ps4 than on WiiU... The world is a strange place to me now.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 93

I'm a wanderer... Enjoying it so far, it's my first Bethesda game 🙀. However, I'm having to learn with games like these that I'm highly likely never going to see a credit screen and I think I'm ok with that now. Just going to have a fun time seeing what I can do... And saving regularly, dodgy save breaking glitches are something that can turn me away from a game forever.
