@Neverwild PlayStation have been brought to court for their digital storefront practices, they deserve plenty of criticism. Why defend what is clearly a massive rip off to consumers?Digital sales cost much less than selling physical yet they are on average way more expensive.

@Neverwild of course not all are cheaper everywhere that's why i used the words 'most' and 'probably'. Using absolutes to try and disprove my point is lazy

@get2sammyb I'm sure they are on ps store but if you count most other places you can buy the games they are probably cheaper not even on a sale price.

Actually looking at the list there are a good 5 or so games that I'm looking forward to playing. I'm good with that since work/family take up so much of my time I would only have time to play around 5 games in a year.

Really looking forward to this. And yes agree with most comments on here shadow was always badass. SA2 was amazing especially playing it as a kid

@Nepp67 I haven't played any recent diagonball games which ones you talking about? I know xenoverse has tons of dlc characters.

@EYEBALL Ya and soulcalibur 2. The peak time for fighting games were pate ps1 early ps2, for me anyway

Unfortunately dlc characters has killed my interest in fighting games. Remember when we used to get characters as a reward for beating challenges in a game? That was so satisfying. I know people will say paid dlc is the norm now but that doesn't make it right

Can we please stop blaming the pandemic, it's been long enough that devs have recovered by now. It's not like they had stopped working altogether they were just working from home which I will grant can slow down progress but it's not the obstacle it's made out to be. I worked from home all the way through covid and still work hybrid now, it doesn't affect my productivity at all

@Odium completely agree on the mini games too, but just dealing with the checklist and not actually enjoying it is such a shame in modern gaming. This isn't just a rebirth problem it's a massive problem of all open world games these days, in my opinion anyway

So I can't continue with ff7 rebirth for now. Have got as far as nibel and just can't do another box ticking world map. Will need to take a long break so instead I'm playing the OG Final fantasy 7 😂but with the new threat mod on my new gaming laptop, also a lot of really cool graphics upgrade mods that make the game look amazing 😍

Why in the article are the character designs of that concord game dubbed objectively good? They are the most generic Fortnite overwatch marvel modern day cartoon like characters who are subjectively awful and everything wrong with modern gaming

Thank heavens, another team based shooter that I'll never play! Absolute garbage SOP. Astro Bot is just another sackboys big adventure which I didn't care about and that being the 'highlight' really is a downer. So disappointed but at least I have so many old games I've never tried that are so much better than anything being released these days. Currently playing though the arkham trilogy and loving it.

Funny thing is, this shouldn't be even classed as fan fiction since the writers openly mocked the source material. This show is from writers piggybacking on a much better writers work and trying to improve it.

Bloodborne 2 for the love of all that is holy, please Sony! I haven't really enjoyed anything this generation to the same extent as say, Bloodborne or ghost of Tsushima. Need something to show me buying a ps5 was even worth it

Still ff7 rebirth. Just at Cosmo canyon now and 65 hours in. I'm a huge FF fan but this game is too much. There are too many mini games, too many 'places of interest' on maps that are too big. It's become boring and I just want to get to the end before spoilers but the completionist in me means I have to tick every box. This game is what is wrong with modern games, they feel like they need to be huge and take 100 hours to complete so cost way more money to produce which then can put a company on trouble if it doesn't perform amazingly. Remake was shorter, more streamlined and much better for it. I hope square learn this for part 3

@kirkn Exactly! You will find 99% of these games on "sale" cheaper elsewhere and not on sale.

Really looking forward to this. As others have said the first game laid some solid foundations so if they can build on that and tweak a few things they're on to a winner

To everyone complaining about the score, it's a 5 which is average. It's like you're upset the reviewer didn't think it was better than average. Reviews are subjective and shouldn't be judged as objectively right or wrong. Comparing to what other sites give on a subjective opinion and wanting it to be higher here makes absolutely no sense

@DaniPooo Yeah I must say I agree with your assessment of both games. Every fight in 16 boiled down to mash abilities to get stagger. Once staggered use the most damaging abilities, rinse repeat. 7s definitely has more depth with things like elemental and status affects and the much more customisation with materia, not to mention multiple characters with different unique abilities

@IntrepidWombat ya you've definitely got a point about waiting before buying games. But 16s combat is awful in comparison to ff7 rebirth. 16s Looks flashy but is shallow and gets extremely repetitive

@__Seraph clearly youre referring to me. My life is going just fine thank you and I'm quite happy. All I'm doing is demanding more from a subscription service that raised it's prices and offered no upgrade to the quality of their games. If we accept whatever we are given and just be happy we won't see an improvement, like we haven't had most months since this service began. I mean come on, medieval is already available to play multiple ways and I'm supposed to be happy it's added to the already bare bones premium tier?

Rebirth and battlefront classic collection for me. Still very curious to see rebirths sales figures as its an amazing game with a lot of work put into it I hope it does well as the developers deserve it. All I can find is an old article about it's sales dropping in the first week in Japan

I used to always check out the sales until I realised 95% of the games arent discounted, they are just reflecting their real life value. The scam is when there is a game that's like 5 years old and psn has its "real" value before the discount at like 69.99

I really don't understand why we keep getting these articles. What good does this do? All this will achieve is piss off people and also give those vile people the attention they crave. Hate clicks are as good as any I guess
