Out of millions of players of course you will get some sad people. If I were a cynical man I would say insomniac went looking for these tweets and used them as a distraction for why they don't yet have the update released

@McBurn completely agree. Just ignore it, this actually encourages these people as they get attention. Not sure how insomniac doesnt understand this. Victim mentality never helps anyone.

I couldn't really care less about this game but a word of advice to people that dislike this games story: avoid at all costs any game that collaborates with a company called Sweet Baby Inc.

Having no elemental weaknesses, status effects really turned me off FF16 as a 25 year ff fan. Will never replay it or play the expansions. I don't understand how people praise the combat in 16 it was just spam your abilities once you get a monster staggered rinse repeat, that never changes the whole game through so gets boring and stale after the first 10 hours. Hitting a bomb monster with fire magic and it doing damage was just not final fantasy

@AdamNovice because the game isn't even out and they're already locking characters behind a pay wall. DLC is fine when it's adding to an already complete experience. Also just because it was in the previous game it doesn't make it ok that its in this one.

I heard something that re purchasing GTA V gets you extra money in the online? If true these aren't really new players buying but the poor whales buying the game over and over. Kind of sad really

@AverageGamer let's be real I think most people can afford more than 1-2 games a year especially if you get them on a sale. It has everything to do with games launching incomplete, the safety net of future updates has made studios complacent.

@GamingFan4Lyf ya that's what I gathered it was too. I guess the triple A industry has conditioned us to always expect an incomplete game at launch which will always need future updates

Not every game needs constant updates. I don't understand the negativity about a game being finished with development a year after launch. This mindset facilitates unfinished games at launch.

To those asking why the ps2 emulator isn't done, it's not not ready because sony couldn't be bothered why would they when they can just throw us the inferior PSP ports. Come on guys it's not that complicated if they really wanted they could have an emulator running within days. Sony's formula is the same as any corporation: least amount of effort to get most amount of money.

Good reviews don't really get a game very far it seems. Strange I guess their importance is exaggerated online. Anyway really didn't like this game so not happy it's doing poorly but not surprised, it's a glorified walking sim and most people want gameplay when playing games. I know, shocker

I'm still not getting why everyone seems to love the bestiality so much. I mean why is that something people enjoy in a game? I mean if it's old fashioned not to like bestiality then please call me old fashioned

I'm a huge ff fan and hated this entry unfortunately. First of all it's not a final fantasy game in any way, I know people will say it's evolving or whatever but fans of early entries were fans because they liked those kinds of games and it feels like square just dumped us in order to have broader appeal. Also if this wasn't a ff game and just a normal action game I honestly don't understand how people enjoy it. The combat is sooo basic it was tedious and I avoided whenever possible, same said about the side quests except I forced myself to do all of them. The set pieces were awesome but everything else was just so so boring and a chore. If they want it to be an action game make it 15-20 hours don't make it the length of an rpg because it doesn't have the depth to be engaging for that long. A shorter game just focused on the set pieces would have been much better

I'm def getting it when it's like under 20 eur. The original mw2 is the one I put most time into and I know the maps off by heart. But ya paying full price for dlc is a real indictment of what certain game companies can get away with these days and it's only gonna get worse

Totally agree, they learned from ps3's launch they saw the 360 pass them out in sales and towards the end of ps3 and the whole of ps4 they have dominated. That brings us to the ps5 which is still living off past generations success imo. That good will won't last forever so an empty first party release schedule, live service push and the poor quality of games being added to an increased price subscription service will start catching up to them before the generation is over. Hopefully they can turn it around our else I feel this is Sony's peak

FF7 Rebirth can't wait. I love the direction they've taken the combat and as a massive FF fan I need a cleanser after the huge disappointment that was FF16

@Ravix for me anyway when I'm playing games, gameplay is by far the most important thing to me, good story etc is great too but if I want a good story I'll read a book. I know that's not the same for everyone it's just my opinion and it doesn't mean it's the right one.

@bozz I'm honestly not trying to shift the qualifications, I thought Hogwarts was a decent game, maybe 7 or 8 out of 10, I enjoyed it. But alan wake 2 I thought was boring rubbish, very little in the way of actual gameplay got about 6 hours in and was too bored to carry on. Would definitely say it's way thinner on the gameplay front than Hogwarts. So just because I think that I guess that shouldn't be nominated either? 🙂

@bozz Equating it to CoD and fifa which are just retreads when Hogwarts was made from scratch from the ground up is unfair. I do understand your argument that the games that were nominated are all better but isn't RE4 actually a retread?

@bozz whatever your opinion of it you can't ignore the sales and a lot of other people out there absolutely love the game and it would be their game of the year so your assessment of it is completely subjective. If you don't think the most popular game of 2023 shouldn't at least get a nomination I don't know what to say

@LifeGirl Completely agree and I think everyone knows Hogwarts at least deserved a nomination, that it didn't get one will annoy a lot of people who really enjoyed the game and will harm these types of awards credibility even more so it's really counterproductive for them

@trev666 I think we all know why, apparently it doesn't exist in a vacuum so u can't just enjoy a good game these days. Awards across the entertainment space have been hijacked by ideology so it's not always the best/most popular game/movie that wins, unless that game complies with ESG/DEI which is why balders gate will definitely win

@playstation1995 because I watch sports and old comedy's at the weekend too so it's gives me the weekend feeling 😂 Original sin 2 improves on the first in pretty much every way. I always knew balders gate was going to be a hit after playing the divinity games, I can't believe they didn't get as much hype when they were released

I really wish I could be more positive on this site but I'm not gonna be positive for the sake of it when sony are taking advantage of us. We need to make our voices heard, let your subscriptions lapse and I'll guarantee we will see the quality of games on offer improve dramatically. Money is the only language big corporations hear so if people keep subscribing hoping the quality will improve they are sorely mistaken!

We won't get a huge line up of everyone's favourites because sony are finding the cheapest possible licenses they can get just to add something to the premium lineup and pretend they are trying. Its pretty obvious at this stage they have had enough time now and the pattern is clear

Like many others here, I'm letting my sub lapse. I don't need the whole syphon filter series and psp games that haven't been updated so we can use both analog sticks. U can tell, especially with the classics, they have found the very cheapest games they could aquire licenses for and they still had the cheek to increase the price so heavily.

Played about half the 2016 one, got bored so won't bother with this one. Sooo much on rails slowly walking and talking. Best recent playstation exclusive in my opinion is Ghost of Tsushima. Fantastic story, great gameplay and amazing visuals, what more could you want 🙂

Wow, if there isn't too much perspective fiddling like mentioned above, this is just a redesign. I must admit the new model dies look a bitbetter but definitely no reason to buy unless u don't own one already

This is not natural as the game director states but very clearly being forced. Watch the sales numbers plummet for the new game

Will def pick up robocop on a sale. No interest in Spidey 2 didn't finish the first as the shallow gameplay got boring and it seems the sequel is more of the same. Glad so many people are enjoying it though

Upgraded to premium before the price hike just to play a few games that I would like to before I let my sub run out, seeing these games I'm not tempted to keep it. Just personal preference but I don't think this whole subscription model works with games like it works with movies and tv shows. Games are way bigger time sinks so having tonnes of them to play doesn't work for someone like me who has a job and a family so free time is at a premium. Also can someone please tell me if Gotham knights is still only 30 fps? 😅
