@Amnesiac ok yes true there are games such as visual novels out there like that but saints row isn't one of them. So my point saying the comment about this game is childish and bitter still stands. I do get your point that some games can be less about the gameplay though so you're right in saying gameplay doesn't always have to be the deciding factor but for the majority of games, gameplay is the most important

@Amnesiac we are talking about a game here though. A film I could understand because there's less interactivity and you can enjoy whatever political statement it's making. Games have much more to judge than just it's story and characters. Gameplay should always be the main deciding factor, nothing else

I loved the game and hope the movie does well but subtitles is a big no no for me. It's annoying having to read especially during a fast action sequence. Unfortunate as I would have loved to watch it

@SuperPotato316 that excuse is getting tired now. Most people continued to work during the pandemic, I understand certain delays but this is unacceptable and a chip shortage shouldn't affect planned games coming out. If there was an issue Sony would have been well aware before releasing the console. They knew there would be hardly games but released it anyway.

Sony can u please just focus on making actual ps5 games that I can actually play on my ps5 and take advantage of the ps5 hardware?? What an absolute scam this generation has been. Honestly imagine any other generation over 2 years in and it has only a handful of games made specifically for that hardware. The Ps5 just feels like the ps4 pro 2, an absolute joke. I was fooled by the "supply shortage" into trying to get one asap but god I wish I waited as my ps4 would have been able to play everything I wanted to in these last 2 years

You can bet your ass god of war won't be thrown into these bundles. Forbidden west was a poor game imo with a god awful cringe fest of a story. Sony knows it's not most people's taste so they have to bundle it to increase numbers

Many are happy with this new direction by WB also. They lost a lot of money over the last few years releasing woke trash and at the end of the day people voted with their wallets.

Well since the ps5 has been out since 2020 and there's like 5 ps5 console exclusive games out there is an absolute joke. I've had my ps5 for over a year and have not played a ps5 console exclusive because the ones that are released don't interest me very much at the price they are going for. I'm certainly not as engaged as I was with this anti consumer service

Finished this game in under 3 hours, will be forgotten about within the week. This game is the definition of a fad

@nookie_egg I loved digimon next order as someone who played the original digimon world on ps1 it brought back some great memories. Besides that though it's a really solid game.

Shin megami is less than 20 euro on Amazon and other outlets by the way so PSNs 'deal' is pretty crap really

I'm playing my ps3 atm because my ps5 is basically a waste of time and money. The catalog on the ps3 store is sooo much better than these new tiers. You can get a ps3 with a ton of games for around 100 euro on ebay which is way better than wasting time on these god awful subscriptions. Just my opinion

I strongly recommend if someone sees a game they are interested in on sale, google it first and see if there are better deals on other storefronts. That's what I usually do and it's worked out really well. A lot of times the games are much cheaper on Amazon and the likes

Thirdly, as I mentioned in my comment in this article, how can we trust sales numbers when the game is bundled in with a console and people have no choice but to buy it. It will clearly inflate the numbers. There is no way you can argue with that logic but hey I guess you can try 😉

I wish sales did not count the ps5 bundle. That does not show people's interest as many people could have bought it just for the ps5. It makes the chart meaningless tbh

Now this is a perfect game for a remake and the difference is staggering between the 2 versions. Unlike a certain other game getting a remake this year which is basically a waste of the developers time.

As a person who has completed ff7 too many times to count I'm ok with them going in a different direction this time. It's really cool how sephiroth knows he loses in the original game and wants to change his fate

Wow.. they really knocked it out of the park with this showcase. Crisis core was amazing, the story I still sometimes watch in movie form on YouTube. Cannot wait for this

@naruball a few months? Tlou2 didn't come out a few months ago. They could have been spending this time creating a new IP not rehashing a previous game that most people have already played and at full price. It's lazy and if you and others think otherwise then that's why they will keep getting away with it, congrats

This is clearly pandering to new players and non playstation owners also which is a worrying direction Sony are taking. What's the point in owning a playstation when all our "exclusives" are going to be basically timed exclusives. They are forgetting why people buy playstations instead of a PC or whatever.

Legacy playstation owners who have been loyal for years are an after thought now, which I presume is a lot of people on this site.

I'm back to the PS3 and starting the ratchet and clank trilogy. Haven't played them since they released so it's like playing them new again.

I don't know why I bought a ps5, nothing Sony has coming up interests me at all

@OrtadragoonX I disagree, I mean we're not talking about some outdated game, it still holds up just fine today. Of course part 2 will improve gameplay wise but I really don't understand why you cant play the first one because it's not the exact same as part 2.

Again I think leaving it alone will be better for games in general as other games will be released like this if it's successful which will stagnate the market

Our society is truly becoming creatively bankrupt in both movies and games. I honestly can't understand how someone would pay full price again for a game they already own but slightly updated

Any games that take your fancy from these sales I would definitely advise to Google them and compare prices from other sources. I got both red dead 2 and shin megami tensei 3 for under 35 euro. I think shin megami was over 35 by itself on psn

We should not be accepting 'oh they'll make it better later' ' they're only starting out'. They ask us for our money on day one and that seems to be acceptable to some Sony apologists on here. Accepting half baked efforts is why we keep getting half baked efforts

Well it looks like the ps5 is my last Sony console. Regret buying it more and more every week tbh seeing where they're priorities lie

For me all these little extra features were secondary, don't really care about trophies or if something is pal or not.

The main concern was what games were being released and how many. In this regard it's a complete failure for me. The ps2 lineup is especially bad but the ps1 and PSP are alse severely lacking

It's clear that the majority of people won't spend money on these games but with live service Sony will be catering to the minority, aka whales. A few Whales can spend more than thousands of normies.

Sony knows the majority of people don't want live service or won't spend on it. They are fishing for whales and will be catering to that minority to the detriment of everyone else.

There's some really interesting documentaries about this but just to give a rough estimate, 95% of income earned in these type of games is spent by about 1% of players

It's very hard to do with some games but for the vast majority, especially these 'live service' games, it's better to wait probably a year after they release to buy them. Pretty much every game now is released incomplete and in need of multiple patches. If you buy it on day one there's a huge chance the game is dead within a few months ie. Anthem

Glad I waited and didn't stack any subscriptions. The ps1 PSP and ps2 games were going to be the main draw for me and from this list it's only a handful of games which is shocking. And before anyone says 'it's not a complete list', Sony could have provided a more complete list bus as usual their communication is awful so I will go by the information we have.

Having so few classics at the start is concerning though, definitely not a good start

@AdamNovice to be fair the only reason it's selling well now is because it's in a bundle, I've seen many stories about Sony keeping it's sales numbers hush hush because they are not happy with them. If elden ring was part of the bundle majority of people would choose it over hfw. Hfws story is so cringe

This is laughably bad. Most games listed here were giveaways on ps plus over the years and most ps2 games we have already got access to from the ps store so we would have purchased any we were interested in already. I'm hoping this 'teaser' is just the tip of the iceberg because they ain't gonna get many takers with this drek

Not really excited for anything coming out really, maybe ff16 but there's a chance that could release an unfinished mess like 15.

Like others I'm really disappointed in the lack of ps5 exclusives. Feel like I've wasted my money and paid for what's basically a performance upgrade for most new games.

This is fine, nothing here to take my attention away from elden ring and my backlog for the next couple of months. Unless stranger of paradise goes on sale 🤞

It's a pretty good selection to be fair. Just gutted I bought fifa a couple months ago. Best month of this year so far
