@TraCuz- ahh xiv I hate how much I love that game because it drains away my time but I still resub to play the next big raid. Pandaemonium is so good. Still not sure if it's a reference to ffii or if it is its own thing but we'll see

@CthulhuFhtagn It's not that impressive considering I started my ff journey back in 2013 with ffxiii. My top 3 are ffvii, ffvi and ffv. Ffv literally has everything I love about the franchise in retrospective. Great boss fights, the best summon interpretations, major series mainstays like Gilgamesh & Enkidu, the best job system with 20ish playstyles which makes the game highly replayable because if exploited every playthrough becomes different and also it's a traditional warrior of light story in a medieval setting. The only downside is its weak plot!

So I played and beat every mainline ff and some spinoffs.. except XI. I finally decided to start it but so far I'm disappointed by how terribly it has aged and it feels like a chore so I may never finish it. I will do my best to finish the nations part at least.

Medieval english wouldn't even understand modern english. FFXIV had some weird old english words I didn't understand so my guess is it will be similar to that. Yoshida if you really wanna capture the medieval aesthetic please add latin and koine greek translations🙏

with gamepass and ps+ the switch basically becomes a monopoly in retail games. No reason to buy anything anymore with 800 games and counting...

XVI definitely because when it launches in 2023 there will be a 7-year gap between that and the previous mainline entry. There's never been such a long wait before and I'm hyped to finally see the next chapter of the franchise.

If dragons dogma 2 is announced at game fest it will appear I'm too hyped to set my expectations low now.

Ryota suzuki for the solid combat and HOPEFULLY similar to the perfect pawn system of dragons dogma and hiroshi takai who's worked on my favourite final fantasy, V.

The most interesting here is oblivion because 1 I didn't even know it was on ps3 and 2 it's owned by Microsoft which could mean they will be open to porting more games in the future.

Future fromsoft games will have difficulty definitely. They gained so many new players and they will have to cater to them as well. The No.1 most downloaded mod on pc is easy difficulty which imo also shows that pc is taking many of the casuals away from consoles.

Horizon is the most complete package so far. The gameplay never felt repetitive or boring and the open world was masterfully built. IMO there's no competition for it yet this year.

@SlySnake0407 you could say the same about Bungie but they were happy to join sony. I think it all depends on whether Sony will be 100% committed to supporting Kojima's creative vision.

Completed every witcher game including the 600 hours of gwent since its beta so I'm definitely excited for this and the next gwent expansion releasing this year. They should also remake witcher 1 and 2 using the power of unreal engine 5

@naruball Personally, I cannot bring myself to like team ninja ever since tomonobu's departure. Most gamers today don't remember, know or care about it but it was huge for fans back in the day. It's a very similar situation to how kojima left konami and people hated on them and metal gear survive.

@naruball dmc reboot was made by ninja theory not team ninja lol and nioh may not be bad games, not a fan of them myself, I just had to write them to their otherwise poor 10 year cv.

Team ninja after tomonobu itagaki: Yaiba ninja gaiden z, ninja gaiden 3 (practically killed a franchise that could have earned souls status if stayed consistent), dead or alive xtreme/ 5/ 6, metroid other m, dissidia ff nt and nioh 1/ 2. Why do they still exist.

Square Enix showcase was half the state of play and yet none of them come close to jojos views. Something is going wrong there because all I see is niche and generic that will be deemed a failure 5 months later. I liked guardians last year but without dragon quest and final fantasy they won't survive this gen.

After 50 hours I'm done with horizon. I will be going back to it throughout the year for the platinum but at the moment I want to focus on other games. I will restart cyberpunk to really experience the next-gen upgrade and also as the female V to see her romance with Judy. I downloaded ghost runner so I may try that as well.

I've played almost every platinum game since the brutally epic wii game mad world and I know I will want to buy this even if it is awful. Square Enix may have bought platinum for this game but they didn't bring their special talent that is Hideki kamiya who is currently working on bayonetta 3. Hideki deserves better I still hope he goes back to capcom and work on playstation games again someday.

Horizon and going for platinum on cyberpunk. The climbing is bloody annoying most of time but I have to give credit to guerilla for ttying to change the formula. climbing had always been linear now it's creative but still annoying. Game is a masterpiece and a must have.

The last one looks like millenials trying to do tik toks 😂 sylens is epic tho.

The only reason I still dont have the platinum for this game is because one cyberpsycho was bugged hope they at least fixed that.

HZD was my first ps4 game so I spent 100+ hours doing everything and I'm excited to return to its unique world and continue the story of Alloy on ps5

I've been in the space monkey program and I haven't received any news on the game in 2 years... they didn't even update the preferred platforms. It still says ps4 or Xbox one. At this point if the game development is still not going well they should just cancel it.

square enix already invests a lot in ps5. Star ocean, ffxvi, ffviire2, final fantasy origin, forspoken, Babylon's fall. At the same time switch gets triangle strategy, chocobo gp and I'm not saying they will be bad games but they have much less budget and look like indies. Capcom and sega may support the switch a bit more with some exclusives but overall they invest more in PlayStation as well.
