How is Dragon's Dogma 2 sooner than anticipated? We've known about its development since before DMCV came out in 2019. On the contrary, I'd say it's late but it will definitely be worth the wait.

Quality over quantity. This year was filled with great games all around but nothing revolutionary except baldur's gate 3. I can name quite a few years better than this so no it's absolutely not one of the best for me.

I bought a lot of cheap spyro games for wii & ds including the legend of spyro trilogy. I already beat a new beginning and now playing through the eternal night. They're short games so I believe I will be done with the trilogy this weekend. Other than that I will also be playing tekken 8 demo.

As others say, I bet this will be the last Xbox console with those numbers. I want to get a series x down the line on sale mainly because it is backward compatible with my OG and 360 libraries.

@RestMode12 When I bought Baldur's Gate 3 back in 2021 it was overlooked and overshadowed by so many other games. This game was certainly not shoved down on anyone's throat it didn't have any great marketing campaign either it's word of mouth and the now-infamous bear scene that caused its popularity and sales to rise and when people bought it they were impressed because it's a damn good game. TLDR: That's the most invalid argument I've seen.

The fact that honkai didn't make it means its fans will team up with genshin so it will easily win this

This is the game Hideaki Itsuno wanted to create more than 20 years ago when he joined capcom. It's pretty well known he didn't have a big enough team nor was he given enough budget or time to make the first game what he envisualised at the time. This is the game dragons dogma 1 should have been and I'm so excited to finally play it after all these years.

@Mephisto2869 I have had a switch for more than a year now but there's no way I was gonna pay full price for old games such as mario odyssey (now 6 year old game) that's why most of my switch library is used games. Also, nintendo never discounts their own games on eshop unlike playstation!

Unpopular opinion: It's not Yoko Taro that made Nier Automata great but Platinum's mastercrafted gameplay. Thing is will they ever return to the franchise? If not I doubt I will bother return for the sequel.

I let my subscription run out in late September and I still don't regret it. A price drop/ better sale is inevitable in the near future with the current decline of subs so I'm being patient for now.

2024 GOTY incoming trust me this is the game dragons dogma 1 would ve been if hideaki itsuno had been given more time and budget. And dragons dogma already was a great game.

I already played tekken 8 so the trailer didnt excite me much because im already very hyped but other than that black myth with yet another great trailer and lotf is one to look forward to. Overall good show but nothing amazing

@KaijuKaiser yea it is bizarre. It feels like a chore to play but I've been collecting and playing FF for more than a decade now and I beat almost every game in the series. FF means a lot to me it is my getaway and I felt like I had to beat the new mainline game.

I am at the finale of ffxvi. I will uninstall and never play it again when I'm done. Other than that I will continue bg3 and play some tekken with friends.

This has been a year of disappointment for me. FFXVI in particular is the disappointment of the century. But Pikmin 4 and baldurs gate 3 have made me so happy. I've been playing bg3 since 2020 so I knew it would be great and I'm glad to see it succeed like this. It's more final fantasy than FFXVI...

It depends on their expectations ofc but this game might turn out to be Capcom's first L in a very long time.

never played any of their games before although I have been interested in both trails and ys series so I will keep tabs on their upcoming releases and give them a chance.

This year is quantity over quality. Nothing here is touching the quality of gow ragnarok, horizon fw and ofc elden ring

After one week of playing.....Final Fantasy XVI is impressively boring. Like, how can a game look this good and play so bad? The story is alright nothing amazing apart from some moments and the dialogue drags on forever just like XIV with unnecessary conversations. Side quests feel like an MMO too and other than that there is 0 immersion in the world. This is not PS2 era it's PS5 era damn. Yoshi P is a fraud I said it. If dragon quest, shin megami tensei, fire emblem can still do great today as turn based jrpgs there is no doubt the best jrpg series oat can do great as well. At this point, final fantasy should either die out of respect of its legacy OR return to its glorious roots.

I used to play this game when i was a 8 year old kid and now i just graduated. Surprised its still relevant i thought it died many years ago..
