May not have been perfect but there was a good presentation of constantinople in ac revelations that I remember fondly. And you can learn a lot actually from these games about the culture, architecture, language etc through the eyes of a native from that time.

astro bot is a nice distraction from the negativity but if they don't get their ***** straight this is the last ps console I buy

@Orpheus79V I knew the combat designer helped develop ffxvi combat but I didn't realise he left capcom as well now I get it.

This is a huge surprise but his legacy will carry on, one of my favourite devs and although Dragons Dogma 2 was the game he always wanted to make since day 1 at capcom it was a disappointment for me and many others but still, he should leave with his head held high because he certainly helped develop some real gots during his time there. But the question is what is going on with DMC6? He said he would create it after DD2

My expectations were low but holy cow this was such a waste of time. Black myth wukong was the only interesting game for me and I didnt even need this show to buy it day one.

Ngl I enjoyed my first few hours with the game then it got boring fast. Idk why but the game just didn't click with me like the first one even though it looks like a complete upgrade

I'm not gonna say these are bad games but... for nearly the first half of the year in mid-gen this is the weakest I've ever seen. Honestly, this gen, other than a handful of gems here and there, has been hugely dissapointing and it sucks that the only game I look forward to with a release date is black myth wukong.

The shocking part is it released at a time that no other brand SHOULD rival the huge brand that is final fantasy and yet we see them rise to be equal and even see better sales than this game.

Although I'm not a huge fan of remakes I was looking forward to this because the first was so damn good they did an incredible job :/

@ShinNioh I may not remember exactly what he said but I know exactly what I commented back then; I called him a fraud. I'm gen z and every gamer in this gen has played pokemon growing up so what data are you talking about? Also, turn-based games are possibly at the best they've ever been with niche titles such as persona, smt, dq and many indies gaining a huge following. When he said new gen he mustn't have meant gen A because it's still too early for them to be playing ff especially 16.

Ugh didn't this overrated guy say the new generation of gamers doesn't care about turn-based games anymore a few months before XVI? Why the turn-around? Were sales that bad that made him see some sense and actually give the fans what they want after all or is this just wishful thinking? Kinda funny tbh he says "about time" a year later...

No real dd fan would dislike this game. Bunch of trolls and newcomers sure, this franchise ain't for everyone.

This year feels like there's a new and better game coming out every week. No doubt it's one of the best of the generation.

I completed the original 4 times. Dragon's Dogma 2 is everything I wanted it to be and more.

Devil may cry 5, made by the same team, also had microtransactions but no such riot. The gaming community is getting more and more toxic.

Sony did a nintendo with this gimmick

Star wars jedi survivor which has become one of my favorite 2023 games. May not be revolutionary but it does everything right and the combat is just so enjoyable.

I finished the game last weekend and will never play it again. I regret giving greedy enix money for this disgrace. I will never buy a final fantasy game again unless it goes back to its roots. When I want to play devil may cry I want to play devil may cry when I want to play final fantasy I want to play final fantasy it's that simple.

Honestly one of the few things i adored in the game. I would play a mobile app qb game

Currently at chapter 14 of ff7 rebirth and when im done im ready to take a long break from new final fantasy games perhaps forever! :/

@NEStalgia Spot on I would add the fact this isn't even a remake but a sequel to the classic as was promised when announced should be considered a false advertisement. Albeit the dev team did change in 2017 and production was restarted still the fans were left in the dark for years

@Zenos uh its just not for me. Origin and xvi werent for me either. I played and beat over 40 final fantasy games (some of them hundred hours+) but i dont like the direction the franchise is going so i doubt I will continue to get any future games. Before anyone calls me grandpa im 23 btw

@Nepp67 yea yakuza lost fans when it went turn based. For me it's not only that. Half of rebirth is minigames, story changes suck, dialogue and voice acting is so cringe I am actually embarrased to play next to others. The time wasting, boring moments that add nothing to the story/ game but brainrot (example the vacuum or picking flowers quests). Sephiroth appearing every moment diminishes the magnitude of the moment. The fact that even in a fictional world such as this there's serious inconsistencies that left me dumbfounded. I do enjoy a lot the boss fights, character/ monster designs, some minigames are really fun and as always the soundtrack

@Nepp67 first of all how is rebirth a turn based game? Im at chapter 10 and barely customized any of my characters the rpg aspect may be better than xvi but still very shallow. Square enix alienates the fanbase by splitting it to those who prefer turn based and the newcomers who only wanna play action games and prefers the latter. But I have a lot of other issues with rebirth as well.

I am so done being disappointed by final fantasy. Rebirth is the last ff and square enix title I buy. I have lost all faith in them and I'm sick and tired of them hating and alienating their own fanbase.

DS2 is a beast without him on board so there's no doubt the team has a lot of talent. When tomonobu itagaki left team ninja it was a shipwreck they ruined ninja gaiden and dead or alive and only recently had hits with nioh (which I personally dislike) and the upcoming rise of the ronin.

@Matroska I think she looks like how an adventurer should look. Western games strive for realism whereas japanese games nowadays, yuffie being a prime example, aim for perfect models and are all minuscule. Yuffie looks like air could blow her away even though she's a ninja with a giant shuriken. Have to say I prefer western models nowadays

Cid doesn't need a dlc but what if they remade dirge of cerberus with ffviire gameplay for a vincent dlc??

Nomura said they wanted to make a similar trilogy to xiii and xiii2 is the best of that trilogy and also had a gold saucer with a lot of minigames and a colosseum with some of the best superbosses of the franchise.
