I had mine for 2 weeks, liked it well enough but it never really worked that great despite wired connection to PS5 and literally sitting 2 ft from my modem. I just sold it on.

I was playing Miles Morales a lot last night on and it did freeze a few times, had to restart the device. hopefully it'll be patched out

@lightningbolt79 I barely play TV based games therefore this is exactly what I need to actually play my PS5.
I'm not streaming to my phone or iPad mini juts to have a separate controller, and I'm not buying a Backbone .
It's either this or just sell my PS5 on.

It’s literally a computer too. You can slap it on a usb dock, add a monitor, mouse, and keyboard and use it as any regular, albeit Linux, PC

@naruball the only difference between the 3, other than SD size, is the 512 has a matte screen. you can make it as large as you want by putting in SD cards and even having several that you can swap out - i have a 2nd SD card with 2 big assassins creed games downloaded on... for some reason.
I have the 256 Steam Deck, but I also have a 256 SD card in it. I'll eventually get a 1tb SD to go in it so I can have more games downloaded.
As most of my library is Indies, I have 30 games downloaded on my 256 memory card (and about 200 roms on my 256 core memory).

I love my Steamdeck so much. the remappable buttons is so helpful, it also has mappable gyro so on any game where left trigger is for aiming, I make that the gyro enable button.

as primarily a Switch / Steam Deck user - I can't wait to actually play my PS5

@invictus4000 I’m someone who never plays my PlayStation. Excuse I don’t have a lot of time to consume the tv. This will mean I actually can play it and often too

@naruball you are correct, you couldn’t. I guess this just takes the idea of the Wii U tablet off tv play and improves on it. Although Wii U didn’t use Wi-Fi so could be used with spotty or bad internet.

@LifeGirl I mainly play handheld whilst my wife and I watch tv / movies etc. because if this I exclusively play switch it SteamDeck and my PS5 never really gets played.
This will let me play it as often as I want and I’m excited to do so!

I have almost no time per week to use the tv for gaming so I rarely use my PS5 and just use switch / SD so this will actually allow me to play my PS5 which is worth it for me. It’s either that or I just sell my PS5

I mean, I enjoyed God of War, sure, but strip away the story and it’s pretty average gameplay. I also don’t think the story was that great, it was propped up by very good performances.

Maybe I'm stupid but I thought this was a next gen exclusive. I didn't think I could get it on PS4 but I'm glad I can.

I CBA’d buying the remake and opted for OG on Switch which I still haven’t played yet (I’ve never played a proper FF games [only Tactics Advance]) so I’m pretty happy with this!

All you need to know is that Todd Howard is annoyed they're not still getting paid whenever people play Skyrim.

I would day 1 this if it was on Switch. I doubt I'll play it on my PS4

I really wish the Switch had as good sales as Playstation. The amount of times 've seen games o my Switch wish list on PS4 sale for £5-£10 is so annoying as I want to play them on Switch more - such as Celeste

I just want to play KoTOR 1 + 2 again - preferably on my Switch but there's literally zero chance of that (and no, I'm not playing it on my phone)

I have a Monzo pot set up for it - as soon as it ticks over £450 I'll buy a PS5 + Cyberpunk. Currently at £4.72 so just over 1% there folks!

@GoodGame I really want to play this game but i'm only 40% through Red Dead 2 and have Horizon Zero Dawn on my shelf. Won't get to this until spring probably

I reckon limiting Bethesda games to only Xbox would massively diminish it's install base. Just taking me as an example - if ES6 is on PS4/Switch i'll play it. If not, I won't. Same with Fallout, same with Doom. Not played other ones so either way I probably won't be playing.
A lot of people will multi platform due to this but a lot also won't.

If they're on PS5 i'll consider getting them. If I have to get Xbox to play ESVI then I guess I won't play it
