I've been holding off on playing this and their SH2 remake. I have a PS5 Pro and they both (along with a small handful of other titles) have some bad shimmering and weird graphical glitches due to PSSR. Since Bloober & Konami don't seem to care about releasing actual Pro patches, I'm hoping that the new version of PSSR coming next year with FSR4 features will fix the issues. If not, guess I'll start playing anyway.

@StitchJones Yes, you are correct. it is three, not two as I previously stated. Still, those three made to be their smallest still allows a person to see most all of their theme. I do agree on not liking that it changes when you hover over a game. There should be a toggle like Xbox has that lets you keep your theme or show game art when moving over tiles.

@Jammer Not a perfect solution, but you're only forced to have t̶w̶o̶ three widgets on the home screen. Set t̶w̶o̶ three of your choice to the smallest size and you can still see the majority of your background.

@Shepherd_Tallon The only requirement is to not have an active subscription. People have been doing this for years.

This has been a thing for years now. Most people who are interested in getting in on these sales have had plenty of time to get in on them, so that their sub expires in time to renew during the next years sale. Mine expires Nov 27th so I'll be good to go on the sale price.

@Oram77 Yeah, and this game is published by Konami too. I think what Bloober wanted to say but couldn't... is that Konami aren't paying them, or not paying them enough, to make a Pro patch. How hard can it be to just simply add a toggle to run base PS5 mode? I think most people would be okay if that's all they did.

@Oram77 @DTfearTheBEARD Don't get hopes up for a Pro patch of any sort. They never fixed the issues on the Pro with the SH2 Remake.

The few hours I played was terrible. Story was just soooooooooooo incredibly boring and main character is dumber than dog turds. To each their own, but I really don't see how a person could think this was a great game.

@Sweetz So even then it's still the devs fault. If they don't know how to properly implement PSSR, then leave it out. It's as simple as that. if they want to use it but are struggling to not make it look WORSE on the pro, they should be asking Sony for assistance. The tech is there and it works perfectly fine, as can been seen in plenty of games that actually ARE better on the Pro.

@Roberto_Salseros Post Trauma, Karma: The Dark World, and Luto are all pretty darn good imo.

People always complaining even when there are good titles. I even saw people bitching about getting Silent Hill 2 remake last month. Stray is great, especially if you're a cat person. TABS is an absolute blast to play and has an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating on Steam. Not sure about WRC as I've never played it. I do love racing games though so I'll at least give it a shot.

People with the "PS5 Pro is garbage" type comments... this isn't a fault of the PS5 Pro. There are plenty of games that both look and perform better on the Pro than on the base PS5 and Series X. Games being worse on the Pro is 100% a fault of the devs, not of the console. Blame the correct people.

@MrPeanutbutterz That's part of why I really enjoy it. Completely blows away MK World... imo.

They included the Dualsense firmware update in the system firmware? Odd. I've never seen it done that way on either my PS5 or Series X. There has always been a separate dl for controller fw.

I personally wouldn't care if there were no more trophies or achievements at all, for ANY game. They serve absolutely zero purpose to me. Not even sure why this game having no trophies would cause "disappointment" for anyone. Surely there are a lot more serious things to be disappointed about.

@Jrs1 I would very strongly suggest playing the first game first, along with it's DLC.

First two looked nice but were incredibly boring imo. No desire to play the 3rd.

@Papasears1982 PS5 Pro is not getting FSR4. It's getting a new version of PSSR that is based off of FSR4.

PushSquare, DualShockers, Digital Foundry, IGN, etc. etc all need to push Konami for answers. Seems to be an issue mostly with their games.

@carlos82 Shimmering is not gone in every mode.

Worthless update if it's real. Sticks will develop drift before the battery ever needs to be replaced. I have a day 1 release DualSense that I don't use due to drift, but the battery is perfectly fine. If you have battery issues, it's probably your charging dock or something. I've only ever plugged my controllers into the PS5 itself to charge.

How about they focus on fixing how ***** SH2 Remake looks on the PS5 Pro first.

1) Clair Obscure did not "come out of nowhere". 2) This game does not look like RE.

@Stevemalkpus Half of SH3, all of SH4, and part of Homecoming all do not take place in Silent Hill.

All of the reviews I've read seem to be from people that have only played the 2017 game prior to the new one. 2017 sucked. This one IS better even with its slight flaws.

@Balaam_ What an incredibly lame reason to not play a game, imo. I get if a person doesn't like the gameplay, isn't their style, or the game just kinda flat out sucks. But skipping a game because of it's Trophy/Achievement list? Crazy.

If you enjoyed Racing Transformed, the proper way to state that would be "not as good as" Racing Transformed. I read your comment correctly, you just didn't state what you meant correctly.

I ordered a PS5 Pro today. I was going to hold off for a sale but doesn't look good on that front. I only bit because my credit card company offered me 16% back in rewards for purchasing at Walmart. That's basically $112 off the price. I don't get it back in cash, but I can get eBay or one of many other gift cards with a $112 balance that I can then either use myself or sell. I'll also be selling my og disc PS5 with DarkPlates to recoup more of the cost for the Pro.

I decided to just stay on the Pro cycle of things so I'll just wait for PS6 Pro. They can talk all they want about how much better than PS5 or PS5 Pro it will be, but PS6 Pro will still be better than base PS6.

@Dimey Remember, your PS5 can play an awful lot of exclusives from PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 also. Not just PS5 exclusives. Many of those will never be ported.

I can't stand the Doom games. To me they're boring to play and even more boring to look at.

Played the demo on Steam at the beginning of June. I found it absolutely hilarious and will be making a purchase on PS5. Some of the conversations had me rolling. Can't wait to hear more.

I'm opposite of what I've seen several others say in reviews. Decent gameplay, absolutely horrible snoozefest of story.

@Veritas7Ax Remaster of the Burnout games already exists. It's called PCSX2. Been playing over here in 60fps and 4K textures for a long time now.

@Ellie-MooSo You've never been to a Halloween store before? Because that pig statue is really weak. People have much more graphic things on display in their homes. Especially horror fans. Pig statue is like horror for little kids. lol

So there have been zero beta tests yet. Just the standard PS5 firmware betas that were already a thing before this program. Zzzzzzzzz. It's probably already being canned like the Stars program.

The story line in Mafia makes the entire game look so boring to play.
