Publisher Saber Interactive has released a playable demo for its controversial driving business sim game, Rideshare "Stimulator".

Available now on PS5, the demo eats up around 24 GB.

It includes a portion of one of the game's open world cities, allowing you to experience its introduction and sample the core gameplay of picking up passengers and dropping them where they need to go.

The game's USP is its population of oddball passengers, all of whom will have something unusual to talk about while you drive them to their destination.

Riseshare "Stimulator" looked pretty cool when it was first announced, but it's since come under heavy scrutiny because of its reliance on AI technology.

The final game's campaign mode has been created and written by humans, but AI was used for voice generation and some localisation, according to the Steam page.

Additionally, the Free Ride mode leans into generative AI even further; it provides an endless supply of AI-generated passenger missions.

What's more, the game features some AI-generated music alongside actual music on the in-game radio.

I suppose the good news is there's now a demo, so you can check it out for yourself and see whether the AI aspects are tolerable or not.
