If you’re planning to play Phantom Blade Zero this month, then you may want to start juggling your PS5’s storage space in anticipation.

PlayStation Game Size reports that the Chinese-developed console exclusive will eat up a whopping ~135GB – and this is presumably without any planned launch day patches installed.

It’s a huge footprint, and perhaps helps illustrate why dev S-GAME has decided to eschew a physical release. This would require two discs, which publishers seem unwilling to ship these days.

I think we are starting to see games get bigger and bigger in size of late, with Final Fantasy 7 Revelation and Forza Horizon 6 all expected to eclipse 100GB.

We don’t know how big GTA 6 will be just yet, but I wouldn’t bet against it being similar in size to Phantom Blade Zero either.

Of course, with the cost of memory continuing to soar, this means storage comes at a premium these days. You’re really going to think about which games you’re playing and what you actually need to have installed in order to make the best of what you have available.

Will you be squeezing Phantom Blade Zero onto your console when it launches on 29th October? Let me know below.
