@MightyDemon82 He's on a strong run at the moment. Adventure Time, Studio Ghibli and Over the Garden Wall are daily viewing. I can't recommend the latter enough if you haven't seen it.

@GirlVersusGame Well, that has definitely increased my excitement level somewhat. I love that gaming has allowed you that safe space, especially since your upbringing doesn't sound like it was always easy to navigate. I've always leaned into video games and books for that reason, obviously from a different perspective. I grew up in an environment that wasn't always entirely healthy and I was (and continue to be) incredibly introverted and I also have my own issues with how my brain perceives and experiences the world and people. I love Disco Elysium, I still think about it now and will definitely keep an eye for that book.

I used to have a copy of Gotham by Gaslight incidentally, but it was in German and I never managed to get through it 😅

Finished Wolverine in the week and really can't praise it enough, despite all the noise out there, there still isn't many better experiences than a first party blockbuster.

This weekend I'm looking into continuing a replay of Shenmue and starting Dishonored. I have Rise of the Ronin on the slate too as I'm about to start a week off.

Slowly making my way through Wolverine, which is the opposite of all the haters' feedback, it's so much fun! Might start Witcher 3 as my Xbox game too if I get time. Had a look at my 5 year old save on PS4 and decided it was a non starter 😂

Re-playing Control and it's a rare case of improving over the first play through, what an all timer. Can not wait for the sequel. In Remedy I trust ✊

Only really able to play anything in small doses at the moment which is really impacting my enjoyment levels; Hell is Us especially, I need a good half day session to fully appreciate it but I'm stuck snatching half an hour here and there. I've also been having a look at Sword of the Sea, which is very tranquil.

After pissing about trying to find something that felt right for weeks, I've settled on Hell is Us and it is definitely impressing so far. The combat, atmosphere and music are all great.
What I really like is the reliance on investigation, no waypoint or mission markers. You have to rely on what people tell you or what you find to piece information together to help you on your way. A npc will tell you the compass bearing and that's all you've got. Intriguing game and looking forward to experiencing more.

After many false starts, I'm tackling the AC series starting with the first entry. I keep jumping away from walls and plummeting to my death but I'll get there.

Not played much recently other than starting a playthrough of MGS via the master collection, which is probably the 1000th time since the 90s. Had a look at the Adventures of Elliot demo and really liked what I played so will be researching that genre a little. Off to see the Odyssey tonight so may start something like Oblivion 🤔

Got off my arse and got these trophies this week and had a boss time while I was doing it. Still haven't finished the original but this little foray has definitely reignited my interest in cracking on with the series 👍

Spent most of the week working through Vampire Survivors on Switch but have been drawn back into MGSV: Ground Zeroes after many years and looking to 100% that. Got an S rank in the Kojima rescue mission which was much harder than I remember it being 😂

@psmr It definitely has an addictive quality to its loop but still pretty manageable as a side game. I never imagined putting so many hours into a game and have it never feel like a chore or all encompassing.

@trymer89 It's my favourite Zelda, although I'm aware I've missed a significant amount of entries in the intervening years. It's just really great and has that sense of wonderment BotW has just on the sea 😄

@trymer89 My last Zelda was Windwaker all those years ago, so I was something of a lapsed Nintendo fan for a long time. I recently changed jobs which involves a commute so the switch has suddenly become a main feature after gathering dust for many years. The game itself just seem infinitely creative and wonderful, I love just popping into that world and not feeling the creep of a checklist or platinum requirements. Let me know how you get on friend 👍

Still chipping away at the splendid BotW and with a dose of VS (working on my 4th 100%) and RDR on the side, this being my long term game as I don't get much time on PS5 at the moment.

@Ravix This is probably one of many layers to it though, there will a heck of a lot people who only buy second hand and as production costs and time escalates then it starts to look like pretty daft from a business perspective. I'm practically all digital so don't really have a horse in this race but I'm hoping there is a sensible discussion around all this.

@White_oyster Choice is always there, you can choose to turn off that option either straight away or anytime during your trial or first month or whatever time frame it might be. By the same token a vast majority of people wouldn't want to pay manually, every month for Netflix, PS plus, Council Tax etc... the convenience is there and appreciated and always has the option to be stopped. The legal part is there from the beginning, so it's up to a person to accept a degree of responsibility when entering into something like that. It just feels like some just want to complain and cry foul but only when it suits. Appreciate your response mate 👍

Auto renew is a pretty common thing and clearly states it in almost every service you care to take a trial with. It's a bit daft people making out like it's a trap of some kind.

Dusted off the ol Switch OLED and started BotW again, on the commute and lunch break, as I'm just dog tired when I get home in the evening, so this has been the perfect gaming pivot 😄 I expect some wandering and shrines awaits across the weekend.

I've spent most of the week working on the mp for Tomb Raider after @CaptD made the call. That level 60 grind is real but great to jump into something with the old gang.

Not had a hot minute for much gaming this week but had some welcome news and the pressure is off, leaving me to start enjoying my hobby properly again.

I'll likely keep chipping away at the Oxenfree II plat and return to my playthrough of Death Stranding DC

Played Oxenfree II: Lost Signals this week and it's a real solid sequel. Loved Riley as a protagonist. Hopefully I'll get some time to edge closer to that platinum though I'm reserving #75 for something special, possibly Death Stranding Director's Cut or Metal Gear Solid 3 🤔
