Fair enough if people enjoy it, but the demo was not it for me. Slow, poor controls, tracks where it is sometimes too narrow to see what is going on, and just not that much fun. It has that same "flat" feeling that the other Sonic Racing games have. I just don't enjoy how they play really. Plus, the main gimmick is just not that interesting.

Played it a bit, got bored. It is just a worse version of Splatoon. Might as well just play the significantly better Splatoon 3.

Why does Push Square publish so many articles about Xbox, especially ones that some fanboys will use to claim Xbox is dead (despite gaming overtaking Windows in terms of revenue)? Neither Pure Xbox nor Nintendo Life do the same for other companies.

Anyway, even if Game Pass has fewer Indie games, and fewer games altogether, it is still much better value than PS+ considering most PS+ games are cheap anyway. Why buy a £100 subscription when the game I want is less than £10? At least Game Pass has, and will continue to for the foreseeable future, day-one games.

Don't really see the point in PS+ anymore. The games each month are pretty rubbish and most are cheap to buy anyway. Definitely not renewing at the end of my subscription period.

@awp69 exactly. I bet the gaming community love the frenzies that happen every time there is an Xbox rumour. Must get so many clicks and therefore money from adverts etc.

@lacerz Most gamers, especially PS gamers, would have a meltdown about a typo in a game if it meant going on about how "Xbox is dead".

The fact of the matter is that gaming at Microsoft is extremely successful at the moment (their 3rd biggest business, ahead of Windows) and that this is only 4 games.

It seems every time there is some sort of rumour about Xbox, the gaming community goes into meltdown. That doesn't mean a meltdown is actually happening.

Enough with the rumours.

I'm sure Xbox (and PS for that matter) has considered every possibility under the sun. We don't need a new article every time some random site or social media user suggests that something is or is not happening.

Has the past week taught you nothing? An absolute frenzy with rumour after rumour. But I guess you got enough clicks to make you not care how ridiculous this whole situation has been because of sites like this spreading the rumours.

People overreacted before the news and are now acting as if 4 smaller/older games going to other platforms is a disaster. People here will do anything to complain about Xbox.

Gamers overreacted before the news was revealed. Now the news is revealed and gamers still have to find reasons why it's terrible, despite it being 4 games currently.

@get2sammyb It really isn't that confusing. At the moment, they can say it is 4, but obviously they don't want to rule anything out because chances are, more games will eventually be realised on other platforms, but for now, it is 4. It isn't difficult to understand.

Doesn't really change much. A few smaller games and older games head to other platforms. It seems all the overreaction for gamers was for nothing, but it isn't a surprise that certain PS fans will do anything to claim Xbox is dead.

@Kraven Xbox didn't drag it out. Social media and news sites like this did because it gets them clicks. Businesses rarely react to social media frenzy because why should they?

@Triumph741 I will never understand why people have such an issue with loading screens in Starfield. I'm playing on the Series S and they really aren't a problem. The game is massive with a lot to do that is actually fun.

No Man's Sky on the other hand is probably the most boring game I've ever played.

I highly doubt most of the people voting have even played it. The online reaction to this game has been ridiculous. On many of the stores which know if you've played it or not, it has some pretty good reviews.

@3Above This is a review about a game so I also gave my opinion about it, which is perfectly normal. Considering the comparisons that have been made already between the two games, it isn't a shock that some people's opinions will also contain comparisons.

If you don't want to see people's opinions, don't look at the comments, especially the comments on the review of the game.

Because it really isn't that good. I've played all three Splatoons. They were all very good games.

I'm not upset about Foamstars existing. I've given my opinion which is basically that they tried to copy Splatoon and didn't do a good job. I wish Foamstars was a lot better.

@RubyCarbuncle I want to play Splatoon again. I have very little desire to play this again. You might disagree, but Splatoon is so much better than this which just feels like a failed attempt to copy someone else's homework.

It just feels like they wanted to copy Splatoon, but not directly, so went "what should we change/remove". Turns out most of the stuff that makes Splatoon fun was removed/changed, e.g. having characters instead of our own customised Inkling.

The main game mode just felt a bit convoluted as well. Nowhere near as good and as engaging as Splatoon's modes. It is also harder to see what is actually going on. Half the time I was just randomly shooting with the hope I was hitting something.

Don't get me wrong, it is still fun enough, but nowhere near as gripping as Splatoon. I can't see this game sticking around for years and years.

And I know the review said the comparisons to Splatoon are shallow, but I just can't agree. So much feels like Splatoon but with a different coat of paint.

Pretty rubbish imo. Foamstars I'll play out of curiosity, but none of them are games I would want to play otherwise, just kinda feel like I should at least try one of them considering I'm paying for the subscription.

Still don't know why they tried to claim the price increase was to help improve PS+. It was clearly just so Sony could get more money from consumers.

And I'm sorry, but why does Push Square essentially ignore what PS fans are saying? You've essentially said in your article "PS users don't think they are good games, but we do so let's just ignore what the users are saying". Neither Nintendo Life nor Pure Xbox ignores their users so much just so they can be overly positive about Nintendo or Xbox but this site does this so often.

Whether PS fans want to accept it or not, Xbox isn't failing. Gaming is the 3rd biggest business at Microsoft.

@OldGamer999 most Xbox games get reviewed very well. Microsoft is also making a lot of money from Xbox and I'm fairly sure Xbox has overtaken Windows in terms of revenues.

However, the idea that Xbox isn't failing and that the games aren't all terrible doesn't suit PS fans in the "console war" so many people will ignore the facts and just unfairly criticize Xbox.

I personally love the game and it really does play great on my Series S, so if more people get to experience it, I can't complain!

Very few things I'm interested in personally. Still little for me to look forward to on PS, with many of the games I do like coming to other platforms anyway.

It is probably just because it isn't being released any time soon. No point committing to exclusivity or day-one game pass or anything when they might change strategies in a few years.

Was experiencing the issue earlier today. Just checked again and still can't download the game I wanted to. Hopefully, PS says something about it rather than remain silent like normal. It's been like this for hours now.

Definitely going to be getting it. I really enjoyed the Avatar films and I've always found Ubisoft games fun which is the important thing. I'll probably wait a bit for the inevitable sale though.

@Bez87 Xbox is not failing. With certain financials, it is doing better than Playstation, despite selling fewer consoles.

You have also completely ignored the fact Game Pass exists so it isn't a case of "Starfield sold xyz".

@Shepherd_Tallon No one is getting stressed. I just don't particularly like the current idea that many fans have of "this review isn't positive enough for me so the reviewer can't be an expert and the points brought up can't possibly be relevant".

@TheCollector316 so the reviewer should just ignore the fact it lacks functionality? Seriously, is there where PS fans are right now? Complaining about reviews that are perfectly accurate because you can't stand people not hyping PS up as much as you?

@Smash41 those are perfectly valid complaints. Do you really not think a reviewer should consider the functionality, the devices already needed to have been bought, the cost, and the alternatives available when reviewing a product?

And considering all of that, 2.5 seems pretty fair to me. Some people will love the Portal and that is fine, but it clearly has some big limitations and large costs associated with it for what it is.

It seems Sony is really pushing Playstation to be seen as a more "high-end" product, copying some of Apple's tactics with these new hardware products, but I just can't see this working. The products are clearly overpriced compared to the alternatives with some pretty important features being missing.

@JSnow2 I'd expect all this to still be their work. It isn't like a company changes overnight with new projects this quickly.

@Darude84 I think the existence of day-one games, plus EA Play just makes Game Pass so much better value. Even if it increased by a few quid, I'd still happily subscribe. The same cannot be said for PS+ recently.

Starfield is personally my game of the year, but with so many great games this year across all platforms, some were always going to get left out.

Out of the nominated games of the year, I'd have to give it to Tears of the Kingdom. Easily one of the best open worlds to explore plus the changes from BotW help refresh the gameplay and make it even more fun.

Still not worth it for me. I am happy with Game Pass for now with day-one releases and a lot of other games. PS+, even at this price, won't be worth it once I've got through all the games I want to play.

I won't be included in the figures when my subscription ends in a few weeks. Just couldn't justify it after that price increase.

I stil personally think this is way overpriced for what it is considering it has so many limitations, but I'm sure some people will get some enjoyment out of it, which is never a bad thing.

@Cutmastavictory the reasons for this is 100% speculation, no matter how likely or unlikely that it, but the article presents these as facts.

@ShogunRok the fact your comment is leading with "The only logical reason" rather than "we know it is because of this" makes it speculation, and there are obviously other possible reasons, but the site has chosen to ignore them as it can't stand the idea of Xbox selling better.

@Jtheripper and there are plenty of 9/10 and 8/10 reviews. For whatever reason, it seems to be a game that has divided critics, with some sites giving completely different opinions about the exact same thing in the game (the characters, for example).

For what it's worth, most people I've seen who've actually played it have said it is fun. Not a world-changing game or anything, but almost no games are.

Already started and am really enjoying it. I loved the big, open worlds of Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla, but having a smaller game that's more based on stealth is not a bad thing and helps keep the series interesting (I've only played Syndicate out of the older style games so this type of gameplay is still new to me).

Playing it on Xbox Series S (through Ubisoft+) and I have to say, it looks so good. I've only seen a fraction of the city but it already seems like it will be a lot of fun to explore the rest of it. For me, the cities and worlds they create is one of the series strong points, so seeing Baghdad look great makes the game even more enjoyable.

Definitely looking forward to playing it on Ubisoft+ tomorrow. It seems like it will be a fun game and whilst I love the big, open worlds of recent games, having something a bit smaller will be interesting to see. Can't wait!

Have no idea if the characters are good or not. Completely opposite to what Pure Xbox said about them haha
