@Sekijo You can justify it however you like, doesn't mean your justifications are fair. It would be clear to most people that a lot of users here are being incredibly biased against MS/towards Sony when they do essentially the same thing.
Loving the clearly biased comments here. If Xbox goes for an acquisition, bad decision and must be stopped. If Playstation does the same, yay for gamers!
@Shwing Just in general, it seems PS at the moment is incredibly good at releasing expensive hardware, but less good at announcing games in the near future. Even then, many of the games releasing now will be held back by being on PS4.
Why can't they focus on making games that make full use of the expensive PS5 instead than bringing out yet another expensive console that will probably have benefits that most won't exactly benefit from? The PS4 when released was under-powered in many ways so it made sense to release the pro. The PS5 definitely isn't, yet it seems Sony doesn't actually want to make use of its features.
And yes, I know the hardware team isn't the same as those making games, but it is yet another thing that developers have to consider when making games, and yet another expense that distracts PS from focusing on its games.
@Shwing yes, it is still up to the individual, but that doesn't mean others can't have an opinion on whether it is a good decision to release it or not.
I really don't think this is the right time for a PS5 pro or whatever. This generation for both Xbox and PS has started off slow and we've barely had any true next-gen exclusive games. To release a new, updated console when the current one hasn't exactly been given a chance to shine is hardly a good thing.

Re: Helldivers 2 PS5, PC Release Date May Be Set for October
September and October are a busy month for me. Starfield, Forza Motorsport, The Crew Motorfest, Spiderman 2, Assassins Creed, Super Mario Wonder.
Obviously not playing them straight away, but it definitely seems to be the time to release games.
