@somnambulance from what I've been reading on social media the praise for expedition 33 is from gamers who actually bought the game pc and ps5 owners , you get the odd one or two who played it to completion on gamepass , the rest seem to be played for a couple of hours and its not for me , which beckons the question , does gamepass devalue games , in a way , yes it does.

Played it for a few hours and its all very meh , nothing new , the giant robot parts you can finish with your eyes shut,if you like this type of stuff that's fine , but I want more from my games , its all very mediocre.

Going to finish off expedition and start playing kcd2 again been waiting for the new patch and dlc ,will mix that up with the precinct, its really rather excellent, for 24.99 its a bargain, very enjoyable and very moreish

I played this in the middle of playing kcd2 , big mistake, its an empty poorly designed mess, the combat is stiff and unsatisfying,mannequin like npcs , really terrible voice work , the design choice of letting you only destroy certain objects which completely breaks immersion , as does shooting an npc full in the face with a fireball and no reaction whatsoever , its a game from the 90s and it shows , far far superior rpgs to spend your money on , oblivion remastered is better in everyway and that's 20 years old.

I thought it looked great and just my cup of tea , however when I played the demo it was another souls like, too hard for my old hands I'm afraid

Could be a clever marketing trick , I mean people are talking about it, there was another game that did this and it turned out great,at least that's what my memory tells me , I can't remember what it was though 🤣

I can imagine in 50 years when he's gone , someone using one of these ideas to make a game and plastering his name all over it , i can just see the trailer , 'from legendary video game creator hideo kojima blah blah blah' the game will turn out to be a turd and his name will be tarnished forever 🤣

In a couple of years i might get one ,maybe black friday , but with the price of games, and switch games hardly dropping in price, it seems a bigger ripoff than what everyone says the ps5 pro is

@DonkeyFantasy nintendo don't make original first party games anymore , they just slap a new number on the end of their games.

@OldGamer999 youre probably looking at 4 to 6 year development time , then we had the live service debacle and the hacking of insomniac, we had 2 years pandemic nonsense within that time as well, surely you don't expect them to rush out their products , sonys single player games of which they are known for ,are always excellent , why tarnish that , I know it seems Microsoft release a first party game every month , but that's what happens when you buy multiple studios with games that are complete.

I watched nate from playstation access play this on a live stream ,he was blacksmithing a hammer , he didn't have a clue what he was doing , took him ages , it was proper doing my head in , the combat looks very dark souls , because of course it does, I like the look of it though , as long as it's more god of war like than souls like, ill give it a bash.

@L_Bosch Ellie has been a lesbian for over a decade I dont have a problem with that , I have a problem with the actress portraying her , and the fact her line delivery is atrocious , you seem to think if you're a straight man and you criticise a gay character you get your free homophobe badge , so by that account there must be millions of homophobes who love the franchises I mentioned, so why is it that these homophobe nerds worship the lord of the rings, surely they should hate it after all , sir Ian McKellen is one of the biggest Queens on the planet , youre talking rubbish.

@L_Bosch yeah you keep repeating yourself , without addressing any of the issues ive pointed out , straight people don't mind gay characters in media , just poorly written and those implemented as a token gesture , if they're well written and integral to the plot nobody cares what their sexual preference is, you have one solid mindset , 'if you don't agree with me you're a homophobe and a bigot' you're blind to any other point of view, brokeback mountain made 178 million dollars on a budget of 14 million, well written, well acted gay characters, you see what happens when a studio does this, and doesn't just throw in a gay jedi just for the hell of it.

@L_Bosch so marvel , star wars , indiana jones, predator , alien all those franchises of which Disney owns, are for girls and gays, now you're just being ridiculous, the majority of those are beloved by straight men, and when they change that , when they add something completely changing the very core of it , can you not understand why people get annoyed, more often than not they slap in a gay character just because, not because it has any relevance to the story , but to appease a minority that has no interest in the content anyway.

@L_Bosch badly written gay characters they most certainly do, characters that are purposely placed to appease the minority of people regardless of whether it makes sense or not, they most certainly do, you think whats happening in the film and tv industry and to a certain point video games isn't a problem, disney isn't doing well at all , the marvels a disaster, snow white a disaster, ashoka a disaster , i could go on , make content for it's fan base and you will have success , jump on the rainbow coloured band wagon and its doomed for failure

@Olmaz I think it depends how same sex relationships are handled on screen and how good the writing is , Andor is a good example of great acting and writing regarding a gay couple, the bill and frank episode in the first season i just found creepy,man finds mentally ill man living on his own , and proceeds to sexually abuse him culminating in him taking his own life , it was just strange, Bill in the games was far better
