Re: Major Crimson Desert Patch Out Now on PS5, Makes Countless Gameplay Improvements

@itsfoz youtubers are calling out these terrible reviews for what they are, ive been gaming for over 40 years i like to think i know what im talking about, ive been involved in numerous communitys for various games , even ran a few , written a few reviews myself over those decades ,and never have i seen so many reviews being so wrong about a game , its ridiculous, makes you kind of think there's some sort of agenda against eastern devs, absolute joke,

@Silenos sounds a bit racist doesnt it , i have never known a gaming website to try and justify there scores for a game based off patches to make the game better , its just hit piece after hit piece , or little digs in the articles about patches , patches in a massive open world game who would've thought 🙄 im sure gta6 will have bugs and fps issues at launch, but I guarantee it wont be mentioned as much as this, total loss of credibility.

@Andy22385 yeah same , I had two bugs and a frame drop that lasted a few seconds , it was bad and I dont know why it did it but its never happened again, also i had the map crash and also kliff got stuck head first in a river 😂 i just teleported and that fixed it , i had more frame drops and crashes with the witcher 3 to be honest, remember the swamp and its 5fps , ign seem to be on a mission to ridicule and criticise crimson desert at every opportunity, every patch they put up a new article to try and justify there score and reasons for it , theyre getting destroyed by various youtubers though, which i find hilarious.

@datamonkey south of midnight is great, it needed extra content for its story ,there was a few loose ends , i loved it , and the music is phenomenal, one of my favourite games from last year , the combat isnt hard and quite repetitive but there's some great boss battles , the story is great and really kind of sad in some cases , I wanted more of a closure with some though...benjys theme 😢

I'll be playing crimson desert there's a castle ive seen in the distance that im determined to get to without getting sidetracked, then split fiction with a friend of mine who's really bad at games, its a mixture of hilarity and anger , "just jump, look down, look down, shoot , shoot, oh my god,go slowly, slowly , jump jump dash ,jump , jesus christ" 😂

@SEVENTEENSOILS it was inside the hospital at the beginning of the game, i have completed it, my mate was having a go last night and I noticed it , wasn't there before or at launch without the patch that took away RT in various areas, across the top and down the left hand side , it looked like blurry screen tearing, it wasn't constant ,but off putting enough to know it wasn't there before.

@Fiendish-Beaver well hes only played 45hrs of it so I guess he wouldnt have a clue , I played kcd2 for 230hrs I feel this could go well into the 300 mark , I feel its one of those games where you dont stop playing for weeks and then a new game comes along so you leave off it for a bit , but then you go back , like skyrim or kcd , only problem with crimson desert is feel if you left it for a couple of weeks you'd have to start again because you'd forget all the controls , there is lots and lots of controls and lots of mechanics.

Re: Crimson Desert (PS5) - A Generational Open World Buried in Early Access Cruft

lazarus11

@captainsandman but the story isnt the game, the game is the story , its about exploration , discovering mysteries , solving puzzles , coming across a boss whos only objective is to be awesome , sure you can finish the story in 45 hrs, you can level up some skills , and see 20 percent what the game has to offer , skyrim one of the greatest open world adventure games ever made , beloved by millions, judged purely on its story, its a 6 out of 10, if elden ring was judged by its story it would be a 2.

@themaladroit I have never had this game drop to 20fps what a load of nonsense , if it did it as often as the review states youtube would be full of videos of the pro version doing so , funnily enough there isnt , its the dynamic lighting that causes the graphical issues he speaks of , it was also in the pro version of yotei with its jaggy indoor shadows sometimes , weirdly nobody really mentioned those.

@KundaliniRising333 ive just accepted that not everyone can see its brilliance , I find it interesting that a lot of 'professional' reviewers are scoring it low, and yet those that have played it give it a 9 or that elusive 10 , i think its just to big a task for gaming websites , they want to get reviews out pretty quickly and crimson desert doesnt really offer that privilege, its gigantic , with feature after feature after feature , i just started the camp recently and was taken aback at how detailed it is , trade routes, camp renovation, sending out your comrades on missions, loved how you put the cursor over the map and it zooms into that area with a minature version npcs milling about, thats usually only seen in a strategy game.
