@VenomUK I had to go into settings and update it manually for some reason, its 1.2gb, it updates weird as well, installs twice and then rebuilds database, also my game tiles seem to have gone smaller.

@dodgykebaab that was just the welcome screen, i mean proper wallpapers like we use to have on the ps4, not some half baked crap with tiles all over it, come on fella keep up 😁

It looks fine , the only thing I noticed that differed was the draw distance and lighting didn't seem as good, also its a crappy youtube video so I suspect it'll look much better on a 4k tv

Its kinda cool , one step closer to wallpapers i suppose

Absolute garbage, it looks ridiculous, so devs will now make characters with textures that look like a cardboard box and put it through this crap , so no need for graphic artists, lighting, textures....nice one 🙄

Never played it , ive seen videos and that shimmering was really bad , looks significantly better now , it looks the best because it looked the worse, i dont get how this is a win

@SystemAddict ac shadows uses pssr , cyberpunk doesnt so will need a patch , ive no clue either seems a lot of mixed messages.

@SystemAddict the official playstation website says if it has pssr the toggle will automatically make it pssr 2 , games need to have it originally hence the ac shadows and cyberpunk imminent upgrades.

@Almost_Ghostly youll probably see more videos of silent hill 2 after tommorrow, I want to see if rise of the ronin is improved because it looked like a ps4 game

@Yor-sama yeah he did, he said the game was running at what seemed to be 30 on quality and what looked like above 40 to his eyes on performance , common practice for a company to take down videos before release,this was like 2 weeks ago, a guy from Korea i think, there's videos about his experience on you tube , I think luke Stephens did one , I agree it would be good pr I dont know there reasons, im sure we will find out after launch why they did what they did, its all a bit weird.

@Yor-sama not as many npcs as crimson desert though , ds2 is desolate by comparison , there is some silver lining for ps5 owners , the game runs on 10 year old cards on pc and theyve also shown the game running on a mac of all things , are they really that concerned about spoilers that theyve locked the download until release? That Korean guy released ps5 footage he said it was fine , they took down his video and then locked the download.

@McBurn if you own a pro id say youre good to go , however the lack of ps5 footage is a little strange, the marketing guy did say you would see console footage before launch , he could have meant pro footage , if i was a ps5 owner i reckon id hold off until at least Friday

So I presume cyberpunk and shadows never used pssr then , because I was under the impression if a game does ,its just a case of turning the toggle on in the pro settings to activate pssr2

I'll head back into silent hill now , i might even give rise of the ronin another go as well,as it may actually look like its 720p

Great game ,the only problem i had with it was its lack of modes after completion and the fact there's no chapter select

Preordered the deluxe edition and I never preorder ,I haven't been looking forward to a game this much for years and years , I will be very disappointed if its a steaming turd.

So if you buy the physical version of jurrasic park would that be worth some money as I presume theyll be making no more copies

@Colour they want a world wide launch, everybody gets to play at the same time,i suspect it has something to do with fact that some people have the game early but they've implemented a lock on it until your countries release date , probably to much hassle to unlock it at different times for everyone , rockstar should do this to stop spoilers.

@PaperAlien to factions have a fight , one faction is separated or dead, its up to you to bring everyone together again as they are scattered across the land , there's also the mysterious abyss thats causing chaos across the land , why it is and what it is i have no clue

@LowDefAl who would trust more the makers of the game or a trusted tech channel like DF known for there in depth analysis, the game might change slightly i have a feeling the enemies on bug hill that was shown might be reduced to improve fps , other than that I doubt there will be any drastic changes , the god awful screen tearing was still there with v sync enabled in this build, so I dont think theyre trying to hide anything.

@pyrrhic_victory 2 other characters a big orc with an axe and machine gun, and a stellar blade style woman with a sword and rifle , these characters can be used to do side missions and explore the open world but not story missions , they also have there own specific mounts, kliff has a dragon, the orc a jet pack and its not been revealed what the woman has ,however there is a screenshot of the character select screen , with 2 more empty slots , are there other characters, maybe , maybe not.

@Lup not really , it looks no harder than the usual , manipulation puzzles by the looks of it ,move blocks to open a door, use skills to unlock a path , for example there was a tower you had to enter , blocking the way was vines, you could either shoot a fire arrow at them to burn them away , or think outside the box, your sword has the ability to reflect light from the sun, usually used to blind opponents , however you can also use it to start fires , like a magnifying glass, so use that to burn away the vines , its multiple ways to solve puzzles that was one of the reasons,I was sold on the game

I've ate nothing but crimson desert over the last two months , and i feel its going to be something special , I love exploring so it looks like the game for me , also it has a god damn jet pack ,im going to be a medieval iron man, i feel ign will give it a 6 though 😂

@Skippermonkey better weapons, armour and skills will be your friend , also there are legendary weapons which will make mincemeat of most enemies.

@RedRiot193 but youll be downloading it on pc , whats the difference , it wont fit on a single disc so you need to download the rest , I really dont see the issue, you've cancelled your order for ps5 because you have to download some of the game once , but youll download all of the game on pc , sounds a bit mental that.

@gamer153 I dont get why having to download a 30/40gb update would deter you from buying a game that youre interested in , the whole game cant fit on the disc so an update is required , what exactly are you waiting to see for ?

, once turned on all games that use pssr will automatically use pssr2 , thats what I heard, I dont know how it works , probably some sort of magic 😁

@nessisonett it was probably planned to add it i doubt they just woke up and thought oh no we've no pirate protection, its just that theyve only just decided to announce it , a week of pc man babies is better than a month of them.

@Eek132 well theyre knackered then , the game disc will probably hold 100gb of data , but the game on ps5 is reportedly 120-150gb so they will need to download the rest , its the 21st century if you dont have Internet, id give the ps5 a miss, and besides I doubt they know crimson desert exists

Good grief , no its just the machine is the most powerful console and with pssr2 its even more so , DF have numerous videos about why pssr2 is a game changer, they also did an interview with Mark cerny last year , maybe give them a watch , propaganda , seriously, maybe sell that xbox and put it towards a pro.

@Dogbreath most rpgs you dont play as your own character , and you can change the characters look , hairstyles , clothing etc , fantasy and steampunk aesthetics have been a thing for decades , skyrim for example has dragons , trolls,giant spiders etc it also has big gold robots.
