@Rich33 ive never said it can hit 60fps constantly but you dont seem to be satisfied with anything less, i play on balanced like ive said, and its between 40 and 50 fps in the majority, for a game of this graphical fidelity and with so many npcs and effects its quite the achievement, this isnt vampire saviours , all games drop frames at some point , even on performance mode and especially on the base ps5 , its nothing to do with poor optimisation but the shear scale of the game , there is no other game available of this scale , none , the fact its even running on the base ps5 and looks this good is nothing short of a miracle , pearl abyss should be applauded for this not vilified , imagine yotei and instead of constantly fighting 5 opponents at max , you was fighting 200, and as well those 200 npcs, and they dont just stand about waiting there turn, they all attack, theres animals running about, non combative npcs , destructible environments, fog and smoke effects , dynamic lighting, power effects, volumetric clouds , maybe rain and lightning , particle effects all running in real time and its still very much playable , sure it may lose a few frames here and there and there maybe a bit of pop in , but youre so caught up in the pure spectacle of everything you dont even notice, we have not had a game like this in forever, and people are trying there best to shut it down , the game is amazing and I feel sorry for any true gamer who misses out ,because theyve listened to an uneducated opinion, if you watch DF you will know all games drop frames , returnal did and so will saros, and I guarantee gta6 will

@CaptainWow didnt even know what this glazing meant (I dont know why they cant talk properly), I assumed it was some kid thing , I enjoyed e33 , but best rpg ,dont be daft kcd2 was absolutely robbed, im in a crimson desert group suprise suprise ha ha , they keep saying show me your drip, i presume they mean armour, thats getting on my nerves as well πŸ˜‚

Re: Crimson Desert's Next PS5 Patch Could Be Its Biggest Yet

@CaptainWow would be even more odd if you kept popping up on arc raiders articles proclaiming it was terrible.....and you've never played arc raiders πŸ˜‚ ive played elden ring im crap at it , i hate the stupid one shot bosses , the losing all your stuff when you die, the empty world , the 1080p resolution , the bad textures , the awful pop in...I would never dream of constantly going on about it in a elden ring article , this isnt one....so its ok...I think πŸ˜‚

@StitchJones from someone with first hand experience with the game to someone who hasn't played it you mean , they have there views from some articles and videos on YouTube , but there are many many more praising the game , communities with thousands upon thousands of members who praise the game, millions of people who have handed over their hard earned money to buy the game , and they think they are right, those that haven't played the game , and you think theyre right , i see it as delusional arrogance to be fair.

Re: Crimson Desert's Next PS5 Patch Could Be Its Biggest Yet

lazarus11

@Metonymy maybe, I just dont agree with all the vitriol from certain people , theres literally no need to enter every article about the game , to tell people theyre not buying it and why , or why they think the game they have never played is terrible , I dont appreciate the childish name calling from certain members either , tantamount to bullying.

@Rich33 seems we both watched different videos from different DF presenters , let's just leave it at that, but if you think this game is going to hit a constant 60fps and you wont accept anything less, even on performance it is not , theres just to much going on for a 6 year old console to handle , me personally I play on Balanced on the pro and there is drops , but its acceptable because of the pure spectacle of whats going on

Re: Crimson Desert's Next PS5 Patch Could Be Its Biggest Yet

lazarus11

@Smackosynthesis just so youre aware theyre not really fixing anything , they are adding features that the communities have asked for , the core gameplay hasn't changed , boss challenge mode, respawning enemies, skill levels , better distance graphics , inventory tabs ,armour for mounts , you know when games get new features 18 months later, crimson desert is getting them week after week, its just that.

@Metonymy apparently the shadow flickering has something to do with fsr implementation or something just what I've been told , also if you turn up the brightness in hdr it improves shadows for some reason , just what ive been told by someone more intelligent than myself πŸ˜‚ I haven't tried it myself so I dunno.

@Metonymy ive found clearing the system cache improves it , i just hope this graphical update doesnt mess up the game , i mean I really dont know how they are going to make it look any better than it does , to improve performance for some , maybe put in sliders like tainted grail has , vegetation, shadows etc

@Damage99 chapter 7 133hrs just got to the 3rd witch, the one with the pensive statues , my god its stunning , sky high cliffs , surrounded by beaches and the ocean, makes ac shadows and yotei look amature , any future game will have to be pretty special to beat it for my goty, excellent stuff.

Re: PS5 Starfield Launch Plagued by Crashes, Even on PS5 Pro

lazarus11

@Rich33 yeah they could, but you see im fine with balanced it looks great plays great, i suppose if 60fps is only how you play I could see how that would be a problem, as long as reducing npc count, particle effects and all the other bells and whistles is on performance only, and doesnt affect my choices, I dont see why thats a problem, maybe something theyll employ at a later date, i think a slider for such things would be a great idea, xbox series s mode for ps5 pro, you'd probably get 120fps πŸ˜‚ lazy isnt a really a term id use for these devs.

@Rich33 play on balanced its quite stable , 120hz vrr enabled with pssr2, but your tv needs to be capable of 4k at 120hz some are not , maybe a new tv is order , with the amount of things going on at once im suprised the base ps5 doesnt explode, your comparing pearl abyss to bethesda...oh dear
