@Bad-MuthaAdebisi Untitled Goose Game was 50% off ($10) so I picked that up but otherwise nothing jumped out at me.

I like E3 as a Nintendo fan because it essentially guarantees a mid-June Direct every year (but of course that doesn’t need the larger event to happen). I think if the likely return to the show floor isn’t a satisfactory experience for everyone involved then it’s time for E3 to go. We can’t really make a fair judgment based on this strange year.

That's a good price for Dragon Quest XI, though I already have it on Switch. Might pick up Titanfall 2 since it's only $4.

This wouldn't be a problem if all these games were available on the PS4/PS5 like they should be. And people wonder why emulation is so popular...

I have to really love a service game (like Splatoon on the Switch) to dedicate time to it.

This scenario is why I almost never preorder games nowadays. I want to be sure I'm getting a quality product.

@NathanUC $250 to me sounds like the maximum price for a Pro without competing with the PS5. They would have to make the slim $150 though.

Stuff like this is exactly why I rarely preorder games or buy them at launch anymore. Either they need significant patches/content updates or they'll just go on sale within a few months, and I don't mind waiting.

Without having played TLOU2, it seems to me that a game whose very mention invites toxic discourse is not at all deserving of a "Player's Voice" award.

Have only played Ghost of Tsushima; just got it and it’s great so far. Loving the world, combat, and the aesthetic.

This is why live service games are becoming so popular. While a lack of content or polish shouldn't be excused at launch (looking at you, Marvel's Avengers), consistent free updates can help a game stay in the limelight for months or even years, which is great for the developers and the community.

I've never not had a backlog, but it's only around 125ish games, so I'm a lot better off than some of the others here. My problem is that I have so many options I just end up picking none of them, and school is a bigger priority for me right now.

PS5 right now seems to me like a PS4 Plus, and that's not a bad thing at all. Making the transitition between "generations" as smooth as possible is only pro-consumer.

I never buy a game at full price if I can help it.

Given the lack of PS5 exclusives this holiday season and the financial situations of many right now I can't see the PS5's launch being all that great. Next year once more games come out and the economy recovers I think that's when the console will hit its stride.

I can't recall a hardware transition that's felt less definitive.

Glad some of these games are coming to PS4 since I wasn’t planning to buy the PS5 at launch anyway.

$400 for the disc version, but I don't mind waiting for a few years for a price drop.

Gotta get PS Plus, all the hype makes me even more interested in checking it out.

Hopefully this means we'll be getting a sequel to Fallen Order sooner than later.
