Here's an interesting little tidbit. If you own a PlayStation 4 and were wondering how to transfer data over to your PS5, Sony's got you covered. As discovered by Polygon's Samit Sarkar, the retail box for the PS5 has instructions on the bottom that tell you how you can bring over your profile data and more to the new console.

It seems pretty straightforward. There are a number of ways to do it; either hook both consoles up to your network, connect your external storage to your PS5 (if you have one), or sign into PSN on the PS5. You'll be able to transfer "gaming history and trophies, as well as profile and friend information".

You'll of course be able to transfer your games as well, either by using a local network between the consoles or by simply re-downloading your PS4 games on PS5. Sony is aiming to make the transition to next-gen nice and smooth, and this is just a little more evidence of that. Who thought we'd be checking the bottom of the packaging for information!
