@DennisReynolds "A mid AC clone with Arkham combat saved by the overhyped nemesis system."
I feel seen.😂 I don't think the Mordor games are bad or anything, but good lord people act as if they're genre defining games and its like the f**k are you on about😂😂😂.
Damn. Consider me intrigued. Honestly speaking, I remember writing this off the moment I saw it's reveal trailer because of how generic it seemed (and the fact that it's another soulslike) but it seems like it turned out to be anything but👀.
@naruball Duuuuuuude, I can't imagine playing this WITHOUT headphones. And yes, playing it in the dark at 12am with only a cup of cold milk to comfort you is the best way to experience the game.
Like I don't know what it is man, but this game really got under my skin. I've played scary games before, but hellblade is just a cut above the rest when it comes to raw immersion. It just nails that feeling of isolation and loneliness
One of my favourite games ever. It's a shame the sequel apparently isn't near the first one's level of quality, but I'll give it a shot sometime in the future.
The original game remains as one of my favourite horror experiences in recent years. Granted, I am a massive p*ssy so scaring me is very easy😂, but this game has some truly terrifying moments.
@get2sammyb The closest we'll get to a flash game😪.
Sucker Punch did a great job on expanding the neon power. Those combat arenas were fantastic and running into those neon clouds for an extra burst of speed never got old.
Second son is personally my favourite! Absolutely love Delsin's variety of powers with smoke being my favourite. Honestly, sucker punch did a great job at making every power feel distinct in this game.
Very excited! I know arena fighters get a bad rep, but one's justice 2 is honest to God such a fantastic game that I'm glad it's getting a sequel.
On a side note, unrelated to the game I guess, but it's weird how this particular era of shonen jump is already over innit? JJK, Demon Slayer, My hero academia. I remember reading their first chapters and just like that all three have come to an end. Here I was thinking about what would replace Naruto and Bleach at the time, and now I'm thinking what the next big battle shonen will be after these three.
I'm not ready for another wave of people misunderstanding Naoto and Kanji😂😭
Anyway, although P3 is my favourite of the series, P4 for sure has my favourite setting, and I don't know if any other game will top it. Absolutely love how personal and cosy Inaba feels 😊
@tameshiyaku More often then not this is the case. But with some games digital is proper cheap. Just copped out catherine for 7 quid compared to I think a 20-30 physical copy 😅
@Gelloh Personally, I don't see the issue with this. It wasn't maliciously "misleading" or anything.
I'd argue it serves it purpose, by making a certain scene even more impactful because you didn't see it coming(if it somehow wasn't spoiled for you after that insane leak 😂)
This not being on PC is still to this day one of the biggest what ifs for me in gaming.
Like, can you imagine? I mean I'm a pretty dumb guy, but if people were already making insane projects with the help of a dualshock, imagine the things they could make with everything else at their disposal.
Glad the game is still up and running tho. Such a magical experience.
Absolutely adored Castlevania from Seasons 1 to 3.
Then season 4 happened.
It's so blatantly obvious that the original show had a premature ending. So many things that were set up in season 3 were simply glossed over in season 4 or resolved, but in a manner that was so incredibly rushed. The animation is absolutely stellar however. It's just a shame about the storytelling. Really left a bad taste in my mouth.
I'll watch nocturne one day, but not anytime soon.
Despite some issues with the writing here and there this game really resonated with me, more so than the first one I think. I really appreciate that dontnod tried something completely different and fresh instead of doing...whatever the hell deck nine is doing 😂.
But I can't say I blame deck nine either. It's no secret that the life is strange fanbase is rabid and can only consider a life is strange game as a life is strange game if it ticks super specific boxes.
I really really enjoyed my time with this game. Definitely something I'll be thinking about for a while
@Oram77 Ehhhhhhh. Don't really know if I would compare the two like that to be honest. Yes, they deal with crimes and gangs, but aside from that they're very different games.
Initially I was playing Ni no kuni the past week or so, but man I f*****g hate the combat in that game😭. What makes it more annoying is that I love everything else about the game (generic as it may be) but I just for the life of me can't gel with the combat at all. So after 28 hrs I gave up and jumped on Hotline miami which was the best decision I ever made.
Never had an issue with characters telling me how to solve a puzzle 😂. Being dumb as f**k I'd rather know how to solve the puzzle as quickly as possible, instead of resorting to Gamefaqs and YouTube guides 😭
Ultimately a solid if a little unremarkable video game. A 7.5/10 if you will. Just gonna spit some disorganised thoughts if you don't mind 🥱
Story was kinda meh. It definitely takes a while to pick up again. And once it does, you've got an okay ish tale that's carried heavily by its characters. Second sister, Cal, Cere. Especially second sister. Such a fantastic performance. But like I said, it takes a long ass time for the story to pick up again.
Combat was fun but man was it infuriating at first. Don't know if anybody else felt this but the Combat feels so sticky at times. Like I've pressed square, realised I've f****d up and quickly tap L1 to cancel into a Parry...except Cal doesn't Parry. So I have to eat an attack knowing full well that if this was any other videogame that attack would have been parried. And don't get me started on the force bar. Ugh. So many cool force abilities that you barely end up using or string together because the bar depletes so rapidly when you've used just one move😂.
And then the exploration. Was a little baffled by this one if I'll be honest. Best part about any metroidvania is coming back to a previous area with the ability to access once inaccessible places. You're usually rewarded with cool things. IMO the stuff in jedi fallen order is anything but cool. Ponchos. Lightsaber colours. Boring lore. It just isn't very interesting and I felt like I wasn't being rewarded.for exploring if that makes sense.
But despite all the issues with this game, it made me feel like a little kid again😂. Star wars was a franchise that was so near and dear to my heart. And then TLJ happened. The series expanded with like 7 million mediocre TV shows. And I just kinda fell out of love if I'll be honest.
But after playing fallen order? I'm kinda itching rewatch ot, pt and maybe even finally finish the st. Heard Andor's banging so I might just check that out too. Ultimately Jedi fallen order rekindled my love for Star Wars again, so thanks Respawn.

Re: Remember the Indie Game Furi? Well, It's Getting a Live Action Series, and It Looks Bad
Thought the title of the article was overexaggerating, but holy cow this looks awful.
Till this day, Furi remains as one of my favourite games of all time and seeing it get... whatever this is makes me quite sad 😔
Re: Digimon Story Time Stranger (PS5) - Monster Taming RPG Squanders So Much Potential
If you haven't already, I'd highly recommend Digimom Survive. A banging visual novel that goes for absolute peanuts 🥜
Re: Digimon Story Time Stranger (PS5) - Monster Taming RPG Squanders So Much Potential
Daaaaaaaamn. Just read a couple of other reviews and they seem to paint the same picture. 😔
Was really hoping that this would be Digimon's big break 😕

But yeah I can't wait for this game! I know people have had enough of them but personally I'll never ever get tired of superheroes😂
Re: Superhero Adventure Game Dispatch Confirmed for PS5, and It's Releasing Episodically
An episodic game releasing episodes on time?
I doubt it😂

Fairgame to say that this project isn't going too well 😉

Will check it out when it's affordable to do so😂

Re: Sony's Not Done Finding New Ways to Sell You The Last of Us
Honestly...this is very cool in my opinion😅.
I love reading scripts for movies because it increases my appreciation for the artform, and I'm sure I'll feel the same way with a video game script.
Speaking of...I've never read a video game script, so it'll be interesting to see how it differs from a movie or television script🤔.
Re: The Last of Us Part 2 'Chronological' Update Out Today on PS5, PC, Lets You Play Through the Story in Linear Order
Ehhhhh. Think this is pretty unnecessary to be honest. You, the player, are not supposed to experience the events of the game chronologically.

Re: Best inFAMOUS Games
@naruball I wouldn't say it was necessarily difficult, but it defo had some rough patches.
Like there would be instances where you're facing off like a million enemies and they all have pinpoint accuracy constantly making you suffer😂

Re: Blades of Fire (PS5) - Steely Action with Blunt Art and Storytelling
Also, maaaaan every time I hear about Mercurysteam, I really wish they were still working on Spacelords 😪.

I mean this is in the best way possible:
This is the type of cheap gem you'd uncover for the PS3 when browsing the preowned section at your local game store😅.
I'll keep my eye on this👀
Re: Ghost of Yotei Gets PS5 Release Date, Trailer, Pre-Order Details

Re: Square Enix Takes 'Large Loss' on Life Is Strange: Double Exposure
More like double asscheeks.
General consensus seems to be that the game is OK for the most part right until the end, in which the game becomes a narrative disaster.
Interested to try this out for myself when it's on a DEEP sale.

Re: Reaction: The Game Awards' 10th Anniversary Special Was Its Biggest and Best Ever
