Fans of Netflix's excellent animated adaptation of Konami's immortal Castlevania series rejoice! Not only do we have a revolutionary new trailer for you, but we bring news that streaming begins on 16th January, and this time, Alucard and company are tasked with cutting the head off of Erzsebet Báthory, the nigh-invincible Vampire Messiah.
The action looks incredible, and we can feel a binge session in our not-too-distant future. Of course, if you aren't up to date, the first season is only eight episodes long and is on Netflix. We didn't realise that the mainline Castlevania animated series already has four seasons under its belt, and the spinoff Nocturne is related but introduces a new cast of supporting characters. The more you know.
Are you a fan of the animated adaptations of Castlevania? Have you taken to Nocturne, and will you be tuning into Season 2? Vive la révolution in the comments section below.

Castlevania is a Konami franchise 😊, small mistake in the first sentence.
Glad to see the Castlevania name do well for itself, even if it is not in the realm of video games.
Konami please 🥺
@Eadgar whoops, Capcom on the brain, updated
Nocturne is excellent and superior to the very good main series. It’s no blue eye samurai, but as far as animated shows go it’s up there. I enjoyed it more than Cyberpunk.
The orginal series is absolutely one of my favorites, strong recommendation for anyone with a Netflix account
This is one of my favoriete series en by far.
@Rezium They made a gem with that its just perfect. 😁
@Niktaw I thought Edgerunners started off fabulously but lost steam quite a bit by the end.
Castlevania is never not excellent.
Absolutely adored Castlevania from Seasons 1 to 3.
Then season 4 happened.
It's so blatantly obvious that the original show had a premature ending. So many things that were set up in season 3 were simply glossed over in season 4 or resolved, but in a manner that was so incredibly rushed. The animation is absolutely stellar however. It's just a shame about the storytelling. Really left a bad taste in my mouth.
I'll watch nocturne one day, but not anytime soon.
@homelesscretin The only season I wasn't a fan of was 3, I remember it feeling really slow. I loved season 4 though, picked it up again.
