consumers love familiarity above all else, sony found a recipe that worked and rarely deviate from it regardless if it's successful or not. nothing wrong with doing the same thing ad infinitum as long as they dont pretend they arent.

im holding out for this game. cobra is awesome and the stakes are low that even if its a middling game it wont be the end of the world

I'd use the ps5s multimedia more often if it had the same level of support and depth ps3 did. having the apps on your tv is a nice idea but it's just another avenue for data collectors and frankly those tvs lose support fast. No media center, no locally saved audio/video files make the system come up short in regards to multimedia capability.

@z0d15g0d really strange thing to say when the thing that western animation is known for is the emphasis on fluid movement

the action scenes lack the style of even the pretty mediocre anime from 2007. not to mention it being choppy and just overall bland looking from an art style perspective.

@SintasSays i suffer with spotty internet and a house where everyone is always doing something online. having a way to download games without needing to use bandwidth is a big advantage on its own.

glad that indiana jones and the staff of kings is available now and for cheap. im now looking forward to whatever else gets added to the catalog and im hoping that sony can convince more companies to add their games to the classics list

staff of kings is ALMOST enough to get me to pay for premium. the lineup is improving

the dealbreaker for me is size and functionality. i like the idea of having a portable console but it's not good if it doesn't fit comfortably in my pocket like psp, vita, ds etc. functionality is another big concern because id like to have a way to view/stream videos and listen to music without being tethered to a phone and constantly draining battery from that thing.

my wish for another indiana jones game was made on a monkeys paw it seems

i never quite got why people were terrified by the red screen of death back then. for me it was just one of those facets of the system that looked kinda cool. this is a really cool idea for a game though

i just hope this isnt some "pre-007" exploration of the character. it can be super serious like daniel craig or campy like roger moore for all i care but dont do an origin story ffs. bond doesnt need it

@Ashina getting those classic ps2 survival horror games everyone goes gaga over but never played would be nice to deflate the laughably high prices physical copies go for online. i know rule of rose is in a precarious legal position and will never see the light of day but the rest of these games should get a second wind

if we arent getting disc compatibility with these consoles then can we at least get max payne 2 in the lineup? my trophy cabinet feels wrong having just mp and mp3.

@IntrepidWombat if sony continues to dishonor my purchases on ps3 ill just keep playing it while my ps5 collects dust. that system has been a wasteland as far as current gen games go and has primarily been a quieter ps4 for me.

still no word on back compat for psx-ps3 eh?

@Netret0120 it wouldnt exist without the movies and books kojima watched to repurpose into the games. kojima fanboys need to accept that he wanted a new generation of developers to take the reins of the franchise going as far back as mgs3. this remake happening without his involvement is more in line with what he wanted than what the fans want.

@dreadpirateflappy maybe for the first two acts but once the trailing section in act 3 comes in the morsels of gameplay youre fed become significantly less interesting and are all half baked. people are willing to overlook the shoddy gameplay because there were enough nostalgic callbacks to mgs to tide them over

mgs4 is a must solely so the nostalgia blind fans can watch it again and remember the game is still crap

not that this game necessarily needs it, but not even having 120fps for a game that came out on ps3 and wii is disappointing. so much for those next gen features we were promised.
