E3 PS4 PlayStation 4 1

E3 2017 is over, which means that we’re ready to actually play games again – as opposed to just talk about them. The summer months may be in full swing, but the PlayStation 4 gaming calendar ain’t looking any quieter. Here’s what we’re playing this weekened.

After weeks of preparation and gruelling late nights of conference coverage, E3 2017 has come to an end. I didn't think this year's show was anything amazing, but watching so many games in action has got me hankering for a good old fashioned weekend of gaming. I'll be spending plenty of time with The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, and I plan on working my way through WipEout Omega Collection's various campaigns. Variety is the spice of life and all that.

I am absolutely blazing through my backlog lately, having tackled Outlast 2, Rime, Small Radios Big Televisions, Job Simulator, Farpoint, and replaying Oxenfree. Up next is a decidedly longer game, as I'm looking to finally crack open my Danganronpa 1-2 Remasters as I've been holding off on playing those for months at this point. Hopefully this time I actually play them!

I didn’t really take to Horizon: Zero Dawn the first time, having gotten about 15 hours in and given up, but I’m going to give it another chance this weekend. I also have Night in the Woods to play at some point which looks really wonderful, so I might also make some time for that.

While I'll be spending most of my time knocking out my last round of summer class schoolwork a week early, I'd like to make a bit of time to play some Overwatch with my friends. However, since I finally picked up Horizon: Zero Dawn for a great price, I might just have to sneak a couple hours in to begin my journey as Aloy, too. The game might just end up being my favorite PlayStation exclusive of 2017. We'll see!

So with all the sales going on I managed to snag Battlefield 1, so I will be playing that.  Also a bit of The Crew and Portal Knights with my son.

So that's what we're playing this weekend, but what about you? Share your itinerary in the comments section below.
