Re: System Shock Remake Gets Hit with Delay, SHODAN Vows Revenge Post 30th May

@Tr3mm0r Would you be continuously working on the plans for said doghouse? If so, that would be an adequate comparison. Either way, I'm not really sure what your argument is at this point. I acknowledged in my first comment to you that you were probably correct about when full development began. But the other guy and I weren't talking about full development, just the development cycle as a whole. Which took at least 9 or 10 years as far as anyone can tell.

@Tr3mm0r The first teaser trailer for Cyberpunk released over 10 years ago. Surely it was in development before they took the time to make the teaser, right? If so, that was 8 years before release. Maybe not "full" development, but there are multiple stages to developing games. I'm sure it didn't kick into full development until 2016, like you said.

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate The Last of Us Season One Finale?

WexMajor

@Bunchesopuppies Now that they've confirmed the 2nd game will be stretched over multiple seasons, I'm sure the "Joel moment" will be a finale climax. Maybe not but we'll see. Either way, they'll at least draw him out over the series with flashbacks like they did with the game.

Re: Syphon Filter Games Rated, Likely for PS Plus Premium

WexMajor

@thefourfoldroot Yeah. And the more I see the replys, the more I realize that I'm the only one that views challenges and trophies as separate things. The original comment mentioned trophies as a deciding factor for making a purchase. I understand if people want challenges, because I do too. I was just focused on the word "trophy".

Re: Syphon Filter Games Rated, Likely for PS Plus Premium

WexMajor

@Apfelschteiner 30 vs 60 frames actually affects gameplay so not a good comparison. But I'm just saying the act of collecting digital trophies should have no influence on whether or not someone buys a game or enjoys a game. And it certainly shouldn't add ten bucks to a games value. But I guess that's all subjective.

Re: Syphon Filter Games Rated, Likely for PS Plus Premium

WexMajor

@thefourfoldroot Challenges are fine, there's plenty of those in-game and that's the main driving point for most games. I'm specifically talking about trophies, not what you have to do to get them. I admit I go out of my way to complete those challenges, but only if I enjoy the game and want more out of it. But I certainly don't do it to collect trophies because I know they are meaningless.

Re: Horizon Forbidden West FAQ - Everything You Need to Know

WexMajor

@lolwhatno Oh yeah, I'm sure you're right about that. I've still never seen a PS5 in person and have no intention on playing anything new on my PS4 pro. I'll just keep chipping away at my backlog until the 5 is available to me. And I agree it does sound a little messed up, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to segregate your blues, whites, or greens..

Re: Bugsnax Blowout Incoming as Media Goes Hands On

WexMajor

@Athrum You're right about Kena, I'm looking forward to hearing more about that one more than any other recently announced game. And I'd have to agree with you about the hype for Bugsnax feeling a bit artificial. Personally, I'm interested in it but I wouldn't call it hype. There's just something about it that makes me feel like there's more than meets the eye. It started with the hand drawn map in the trailer. But maybe I'm looking too much into it.

Re: Celebrate The Last of Us Day with Statues, Merch, and Contests

WexMajor

@zupertramp haha touche, I was wondering if my comment would lead down that rabbit hole. But I agree, it shouldn't have gone there on and article that wasn't even related to story or gameplay. I wasn't defending anyone, it just disappoints me how often people choose not to take the high road.

Re: PS5 Completely Outpacing Xbox Series X in Terms of Popularity, Says New Research

@grahamd There haven't been "recent rumblings of max 15 hour games". That was a quote from the guy that was the CEO until he stepped down last year. He made that statement recently saying what he hoped to see more games like that in the future, but he doesn't even work for Sony anymore so have no fear. Big games, small games, and everything in between are here to stay.
