Re: Single Player Games Are Really Struggling Right Now

WasabiPeanut

@ShogunRok @get2sammyb Actually was just discussing this article with a friend of mine, and you're right in one sense its about chasing the cash of Overwatch etc, but how many companies tried to make a MMO to piggyback on WoW's success and how many of those actually made any money. Perhaps I'm old and out of touch, but most of the comments I read so far seem to agree with me.

Re: Talking Point: Has Sony Mastered the PlayStation Store Sale?

WasabiPeanut

I've dodged a financial bullet the past couple sales but then this one popped up and had half my wishlist on it! Definitely will be getting Salt and Sanctuary as well as The Witness; trying to exercise some self control on the others.

My only gripe on PSN sales is that they never (or at least I never noticed) discounts on DLC.

Re: Telltale Hints That The Wolf Among Us Rumours Are Fairytales

WasabiPeanut

Honestly, I've grown tired of Telltale. They've taken on too much, it takes forever for all the episodes of a season to come out. I had gotten to the point where I would just wait for them all to be released and get it cheap, but now waiting between seasons is getting ridiculous. TWAU was by far my favorite TT game so far, but that was what nearly 3 years ago now? Done with this company.

Re: Talking Point: What Does Sony Have to Do in Order to 'Win' E3 2017?

WasabiPeanut

So far I think the E3 has been lackluster, so really all they need to do is explore the titles we know are coming GoW, TLOU2 and throw in a surprise or two (Bloodborne 2 please!!!) and they have another year in the bag. Xbox exclusives underwhelmed, like @Brasilkilla said, when your biggest applause if for supporting games from 2 generations ago, you did not have a great lineup to show.

Re: Nioh Co-Op Gameplay Shows the Benefits of Teaming Up

WasabiPeanut

My favorite part of Dark Souls/Bloodborne was teaming up with my buddy who moved cross country. It was sometimes a pain having to hide signs, but the ring helped, and the BB password system was a godsend. This method of co-op and the fact one of us would have to play ahead kind of kills that for me; oh well.

Re: Poll: Does The Last Guardian Dazzle After a Decade?

WasabiPeanut

On the one hand I love it. Its as memorable and original as ICO and SotC. On the other hand the controls can be a frustrating mess and really took me out of the game (literally at some points as I needed to walk away); which in retrospect is also a lot like ICO and SotC and I still remember them fondly.

Re: Poll: Are You Buying Final Fantasy XV?

WasabiPeanut

I've been a FF addict since FF2(US) and have played each non-MMO release religiously when it comes out. But honestly, I was not impressed by the demo (at least by the gameplay). I've seen some people say combat has been greatly improved but personally I'm in wait and see mode.

Re: Review: XCOM 2 (PS4)

WasabiPeanut

Only technical glitch I have come across was that the aliens stopped moving/attacking on their turn. Took me 2 missions to figure it out thought I was a badass! So far absolutely loving the game, but if the loading screens got any longer I could take a nap between battles.

@JLPick nothing close to a FPS, its a turn-based strategy with a 3rd person overhead view.
