Re: PS Plus Essential Has 3 More PS5, PS4 Games to Download Now

Topov81

I wish Sony would update their web pages at the same time. The PS+ content is always out of sync.

The Subscriptions page (https://store.playstation.com/en-gb/pages/subscriptions) shows August Monthly Games, with a LEGO Star Wars banner.

But the What's New page (https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/ps-plus/whats-new/#monthly-games) still shows the July games.... misleading given they are no longer available.

It shouldn't be this difficult.

Re: We Find This PS5 Wishlist Issue Irrationally Irksome

Lots of niggly issues like this. It bugs me that some titles that I've previously downloaded on PS+ can be purchased "to keep" but others cannot.

In a recent sale, Ghost of Tsushima was reduced but was only available to me at full price, again because I'd previously downloaded it. I contacted PS support who said there's nothing they can do whilst my subscription is active.

Having had PS+ from day one, I'm definitely going back to Essentials from next month. Personally, I'd rather have a Basic tier that only offers cloud storage and store discounts, and do away with the monthly games/catalogue.

Re: FC 25 Reveal Is This Week, Jude Bellingham's on the Cover

Topov81

What exactly is the point of these?... (the same applies to the Champions Edition of F1 games).

EA only release the standard editions at retail, so these 'covers' are entirely pointless marketing material.

I remember the days when they'd release club specific FIFA covers to download and print.

Re: Bombshell Report Finds Players Becoming Less Interested in Deep Strategy Games

@Nepp67 Tbf they are action/adventure games, in which puzzles are often forced into just for pacing purposes. Maybe it's me but currently replaying the Uncharted series and the puzzles are tiresome... far more so than when playing for the first time. Sure, they have a place, but for me they're better left in games like Monkey Island (which I love).

Re: PlayStation London Studio Shares a Farewell Message Following Closure

I never understood why Sony allowed Singstar to die. Bearing in mind the wider group owns multiple record labels, the DLC was a license to print money and free advertising for their label's artists.

I know most gamers weren't interested, but lots of casual players bought PS2s and PS3s just to play Singstar.

An integrated Spotify subscription model would have been amazing.

Fond memories of playing Eyelet with my kids too.

Re: Fallout 4 PS5 Next-Gen Update Now Unlocked for PS Plus Owners

Topov81

I'm pretty sure I added Fallout 4 to my library as part of the PS+ Collection when the PS5 launched, and I've been able to down the PS5 update.

What bugs me is it takes high profile cases like this to get things resolved. There's an increasing number of people on PS+ Extra who are unable to play The Division 2. Sony blame Ubisoft, Unisoft blame Sony. I've been playing it for months, but suddenly despite still being part of the PS+ Extra Game Catalogue, I can't play, download or even purchase the game??!... (the game shows a PS+ icon with a small padlock in my Library and Installed games).

Re: Rock Band 4 to Get Final DLC Pack Almost a Decade After Launch

Topov81

Fair play to Harmonix for supporting it this long... giving away free anniversary DLC packs and enabling imports way back to the RB1 days. I have around 700 tracks in RB4, hopefully the final DLC is a good one!

UPDATE: I've just read the blog, which says Jan 25th will be the last drop... but that's not the only one. Today they've released the following and I imagine there will be more to come over the coming days.

Our Love Will Still Be There - The Troggs
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John

Re: PS Stars Teething Troubles Prevent Holiday Spenders from Earning PS5, PS4 Loyalty Points

Something very weird just happened for me, or maybe Sony have an odd way of resolving it. I bought a game on 29 Dec and received no points. Today I bought a £1.69 DLC and received 17 points over and over again. In the end I had 24 notofications in the PS App, and my points balance is now back up (or maybe higher) to what I was expecting.

Maybe it was a glitch, but for anyone missing points I'd recommend trying a small purchase to test it.

Re: The Crew 1 Has Reached the End of the Road, Delisted and Servers Shutting Soon

Topov81

I was expecting a longer notice period, like Sony did with Driveclub. I missed yesterday's announcement, but are you seriously saying someone could have bought the game last week for £19.99 (or £44.99 for the Ultimate Edition) which will be unplayable in just over 3 months.

That can't be right, can it?

For what it's worth, I enjoyed The Crew more than the two sequels, so it's a shame they couldn't have developed a patch to allow the single-player mode to function offline.
