Have we already hit the point that we’re tired of hearing about our favorite video game console company making the biggest blunder since Don Mattrick introduced the Xbox One? I say no.

$20 indie bangers that run on a toaster make $1000 consoles and $80 games a pretty bad bargain.

I had meant to start Adventures of Elliot last weekend but this Final Fantasy VII Rebirth platinum has kept me too busy. Maybe next weekend.

We get new consoles when the next U.S. prez lifts the Trump tariffs. Thats my bet.

Aside from Johnny Young Bosch all the original guys have really aged in recent years and struggle doing youthful voices. Yuri Low in Spider Man 2 was particularly rough. The P3 reload recast worked out so I’m not worried.

@Swandivetotheasphalt Right, I'm not suggesting they should or could continue on operating as a AAA studio. Either way, no sense in trying to pick it apart. It won't be happening.

Why do companies choose this option instead of spinning them off, letting them go indie again?

Man when 2/3 votes get gobbled up by Persona it’s hard to pick the third. Could have easily picked about 7. Went with Veronica. By the by 1666 Amsterdam appears to have been overlooked. Hoping for a few more good announcements at tomorrow’s Direct.

@mvhess Nod. Also, about the blockbuster thing, I think arcades played a part too. Much better value proposition in the long term for parents. $40 game vs infinite quarters.

@mvhess We were beating that game well before Nintendo Power was even a thing. We just tried everything, burning every bush, pushing every stone, yada yada. Then we shared what we learned with our friends around the neighborhood. I look back on those times pretty fondly in fact.

Had to turn off RT due to some serious screen edge jank that occurred in dark areas. Also I just played Tormented Souls II the other week so this was like playing a watered down Hollywood version of that. I mean I’ll play it eventually because they’re not bad games but they’ve long abandoned what made them my favorite PS1 games.

Dude between this, Urban Myth Dissolution Center, and now Shrodinger's Call, this publisher has found themselves a very nice niche. Check out Un:Me if you liked Silent Hill F / Fatal Frame II Remake.

Thats pretty nice. I can’t believe how much PS5 I’ve played in such little time.

I’ll never understand how that PR spin about buying Bungie for their live service expertise gained traction.

Owners of the steam pc version will receive the upgrade for free.

Have a couple years left on extra, intend to let it lapse. Hell I may even sell the console before it does.
