@Th3solution Oh yeah, there are hundreds of active games that're still in development. One word of warning, however, as most of the newer projects either work better on PS5 or are PS5 exclusive. So if you have a PS5 it's best to play on that. I also hear that PS5 Pro projects are being developed that might not run too well on a base PS5.

Glad I got my 1 TB Micro SD card before prices soared. I bought a 1 TB SanDisk for my Nintendo Switch for $69.99 a mere six months ago and now the same card I got for $69.99 half a year ago costs $149.99. 🤦

@SterlingEyes Doesn't seem too useful if, in the future, the entire populous dies from starvation from there being no jobs left for humans and heads of the businesses suffering the same fate due to no one being able to purchase their goods or services. Just like with nukes "only less chaotic and slower to cause the end of humanity" it'd be mutually shared destruction...

This new update with user-generated content has reignited my interest in GI so I'm re-downloading the game and also will be giving Honkai Star Rail and ZZZ a proper chance as well since HoYoVerse actually seems to be doing some rather interesting updates for their games now, instead of just adding more story and characters. Not saying the base content is bad, just that it needed something interesting to hook hardcore gamers as while good there wasn't anything unique about their games that made them must-play when hardcore gamers likely have dozens of other games that they payed for vying for their limited gaming time.

And yet crickets were chirping a couple weeks ago when the Ghost of Yotei animated wallpaper dropped on PS5. 🦗🦗🦗

@belmont It's delisting in November I think, which gives us about 3 months to finish the game on PS+ before it gets delisted. Which I'd assume it'll simply stay on the games library that entire 3 months.

Given everything going on with the tariff situation there's a chance that Japanese companies could just find it more profitable to no longer do business in the states so the longer it's delayed the higher the odds of it never being released here if things get too bad.

@themightyant None of those solutions fix the problem for those affected by the issue. The ONLY fix is turning your internet off in the settings, but then you can't use most of your features on PS5 lol...

I'm affected too and the menu is SOOOOOOOO slow and laggy and worse yet I have a second rare issue that makes my PS5 have to rebuild my external hard-drives database EVERY SINGLE TIME I boot-up my PS5...🙀

Yet somehow darn near everyone I know IRL has at least one game console in their home. Kinda odd if there were only 125 million households globally with a game console. Your numbers aren't jiving. Sounds like you're only counting current gen and maybe last gen consoles and not older consoles.

Alot of casual gamers don't upgrade consoles often and then there are a lot of people who can't afford consoles and are handed down retro consoles by family members. You are most definitely grossly underestimating the number of active retro consoles out there.

@RadioHedgeFund I would hardly call the 10% of the world's population who are console gamers "A niche market". There are roughly 700 million console gamers between modern and retro consoles so again it's hardly a niche industry.

Yeah I seriously don't want to steamroll the game. I thought World and Rise were still welcoming to newcomers while still providing a challenge for returning players while Wilds seems to forego the need to grind at all rendering the gameplay loop that the series is known and loved for completely pointless...

@breadbox22 There's a setting in the system options to have games playable offline, but changing that setting requires the server to be working at the time of the change.

@yOr @dskatter You could if you set your console to do so when the servers are up in your system settings. Playing my digital copy of Monster Hunter Rise offline right now with no problems...

Does the game require PS+ or does it have a single player element/modes?

@Member_the_game The problem with that theory is that the PS5 is still priced too high for most of the holdouts to upgrade. Even I wouldn't have one if it weren't for my grandparents gifting me the console.

I just hope Switch 1 still gets the game as I highly doubt it wouldn't run fine on the OG Switch.

@belmont Most physical releases on Switch do contain the entire vanilla game so that's more a PlayStation issue than physical issue in general.

@ShogunRok Uh...the OG FF VII is MUCH longer than 40 hours long unless you're just doing the story and have the entire game memorized. For most it'll be closer to 60 hours long to beat and WAY longer to complete...
