Re: Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast Commits the Heinous Crime of Not Letting You Invert Aiming on PS4

@Futureshark I have always thought of both sticks having forward and backward. Thinking of any analogue stick having an up and down is what causes so many people to mistakenly think that having forwards look towards the ground and backwards look towards the sky is "inverted"! Up and down should be for d-pads, arcade sticks, and 2D games only. Baffling why they wouldn't allow you to invert them in the game anyway... Really does render it unplayable for me.

"We don’t see the value in tearing down one another, or one another’s work. We don’t believe articles that do that are making our industry and craft better."

Er... how about not creating work that literally falls apart in your hands? What's the point in only picking out positive points of something that is literally held together with string and wishes?

Re: Xenon Racer Brings 90s Arcade Goodness to PS4

@Bonbonetti Arcade racers are my favourite genre, but of those you mentioned (almost all of which I've played or owned) the only ones that scratch the itch are Riptide GP and Riptide GP 2. Some of the others are great, but they aren't like the classic racers of the Dreamcast era. All they need are fast vehicles, fair opponents, well designed tracks, plenty of air, and sweet shortcuts. No weapons, no open worlds, no hovercars, and definitely no "realistic" physics!

Re: Burnout Paradise Remaster Rumours Send the Web Wild

I can't say enough good things about Burnout Paradise, I'd definitely play through it again on ps4. Especially as the chances of an actual sequel are 0. Even the Criterion-developed NFS games just don't feel the same. Really hope this is true! Don't think it'll be Criterion doing the remaster if so though.

Like the reviewer, I took the warnings as a challenge, but although jumping, falling, looking over a ledge, swinging, and accidentally pushing the right stick very slightly to one side all made me feel queasy as hell, but hey, it's a small price to pay for the best feeling of freedom of movement since I first tried Mario 64! You get used to it once your brain accepts that you aren't going to die.
