Now this is the Cyberpunk 2077 news that we've been waiting for. The game's ESRB rating has been made public, revealing some surprising little details. As you'd expect, the title's rocketed straight to a 'Mature' rating in the US due to graphic violence, scenes of a sexual nature, drug use, and very strong language.
But you've already seen the headline, and we're not making this up. The rating reads: "The game contains nudity and sexual material: Players can select a gender and customize their character; customization can include depictions of breasts, buttocks, and genitalia, as well as various sizes and combinations of genitals." In true cyberpunk fashion, it sounds as though you can modify your body however you want.
The rating also confirms that, as CD Projekt Red has previously said, motion captured sex scenes will play out in first-person. "Players can encounter events where they have the option to engage in sexual activities with other main characters or prostitutes—these brief sex scenes (from a first-person perspective) depict partially nude characters moaning suggestively while moving through various positions. Some scenes contain brief depictions of thrusting motions; other scenes depict a character's head moving towards a partner's crotch." All right, settle down.
