I'm playing through the Nathan Drake Collection (almost done with the first game). I'm also, getting in a few rounds of the Battlefront beta when I get a chance.
Thankful that this was just a rumor! CDPR have always been one of my top 5 favorite developers, and EA would be the end of the studio as we know it for sure.

I'm so glad I took a chance on this game! I picked it up when it and the season pass was on sale. Not much of a racing fan, but this one has been a great time killer, and boy is it a looker!
I picked this up today as I'm a sucker for Zombie games. Don't know when I'll get around to playing it with Madden 16 and Metal Gear coming out soon. I just had to get it. Hope it's good as I'm going in blind on this one. I've never owned a Nintendo system...so hoping for the best here. Great review!
I am a Kickstarter veteran that has backed over 70 video game projects since 2012, and one film. Personally, I'm thankful for crowdfunding simply because most of the games I've backed would have never been made without it. I played Shenmue 1 and 2 way back when, but as time went on and many, many games in between, I had nearly forgotten about the franchise. I played these games with my young nephews at the time and created many great memories. Now 14 years later, I find myself thrilled at the chance to lend my support to a franchise that brought so much joy to my family. My nephews are now adults who are serving in the military, and when I told them about this project it instantly brought back conversations of all the fun we had playing these games back in the day. I honestly believe (and hope) that since this project has received so much support over the coarse of this campaign that Sony will step in and provide the remaining funds to make the game that Ys Net wants to make. In any case, more Shenmue is always a good thing in my book!
So is Drive Club decent for a casual racing fan like me? I'm tempted to buy the full game since it's 25 bucks on the PSN store. However, I'm just wondering how much I'd enjoy it seeing as how I'd most likely not be using the multiplayer features (forever alone).
Yeah, never really interested in this PS4 port. I bought into the hype and got the Collector's edition when it released on PC. Sadly, it's just not a game I'm interested in playing anymore. I'm so jaded when it comes to MMO's, especially after years of playing WoW. I've reached the point in my gaming life that I appreciate a good single player experience more now than ever. I don't mind a good multiplayer romp now and again, but I'm DONE with MMO's.
@Alpha man you're not kidding. I've never played a game that is so frustrating, and fun all at the same time. I never played the Dark Souls games, so this is my first foray into From Software titles. I am definitely a fan, but sometimes I just want to punch one of the devs in the throat ya know? LOL
I suck so bad at this game, but I love it so much! I'm stuck on Vicar Amelia and I feel like I'm just banging my head against the wall. Oh well, I guess I'll get through it eventually...on a Witcher break at the moment.
I gave up on this game a long time ago, wish there was a good story to go along with it. I'm forever alone so multiplayer games are far down on the list of priorities for me. I love a good single player experience.
I generally pre-order every game I buy. I don't do it for bonuses, I guess I just think of it as layaway. Instead of just dropping 60 bucks every time a new game comes out, I pre-order it, then go back every couple weeks or so and drop 10 bucks here or 20 there, and by the time the game comes out it's fully paid for. Pre-order bonuses are just a side effect of that.
Mass Effect trilogy is up there for sure. I work alot of hours so I also really appreciate Madden 2015...quick game before bed. I really want to get into Bloodborne, but I'm struggling. My first foray into From Software titles. I can't progress. I love it, but I'd also like to get to the first boss...I'm terrible...but God I love this game. I need help in the worst way. I ordered the collectors edition strategy guide and have been watching videos. Some day I will get this game...but for now I'm loving the experience.
This has to be my most disappointing game of the current generation consoles. I was such a huge Halo/Bungie fan for years, to the point that I didn't hesitate to buy this on day one. The complete lack of story just gutted me. I really tried to like it, but after 3 months of grinding I ended up trading it in. Hopefully Bungie will focus on a better story next game.
I really suck at these types of games, but damn this game has me excited. I'm hoping that the learning curve won't be too frustrating, because I'm getting this day one.
I'm torn. I got it for PC when it first came out, played it for my first free 30 days and never touched it again. Now that it's dropped the subscription model and seemingly made improvements, I'm tempted to buy it for the PS4. I've never tried an MMO on a console, so that's why I'm torn. I may have to wait to hear some reviews before I pull the trigger on this one.
I love reading all of these reviews, yours is the best so far Sammy! I can't wait to get my copy so I can form my own opinion. I'm a sucker for Victorian settings and the time period, so I'm hoping that for my money I'll enjoy it. I'm blessed that I have enough of a disposable income to try these games for myself, but thank you for such a great review. It's nice knowing that folks can come to this site for honest reviews that could save them some money. Keep up the great writing!
I'm having an okay time with Dying Light, but not enough to buy a season pass for it. I will finish my play through (which is going slowly), and then trade it in.
I've had it with day one DLC, to put it simply. I actually support DLC if it's done right, but cutting things out and selling it piecemeal on the day of release to me is disgusting. I vote with my wallet...I just wish more people did the same. The only reason developers continue to do things like this, is so many people buy into it.
Great list! I picked Dragon Age myself, not just because it's a great game, but it's also the best bang for buck title out there. There is just so much to do in it, and all of it is fun. I just hope The new Witcher game will be as huge, if not bigger.
Americas favorite pastime is baseball, but as Splat said, the NFL passed it up in popularity a very long time ago. Baseball is still considered America's favorite pastime though because the season is so long and mostly in the spring/summer months.
Loved the first episode, and I'm eagerly anticipating the release of the Game of Thrones first episode. Telltale did a great job on this...this coming from a guy who wasn't into the Borderlands series all that much.
I just finished AC Unity's main story a little while ago. Now I'm just wandering the map playing around with side stuff. This will last me until the 18th when I pick up Farcry 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and GTA V.
November 18th is shaping up to be a fun day for me. Far Cry 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and GTA V. I'll be off work so I'm getting all 3 at midnight release, can't wait! My only predicament is which one to play first!
Nice review, and one that I agree with. I'm enjoying the game so far, but the technical issues are very obvious here. Hopefully it can be patched up in the near future. One other problem I have is how cluttered the map is. Thankfully you can play around with it to show what you want it to, but if you have everything turned on, holy Mother of God...talk about not seeing the forest for the trees! These companion apps and what-not are pretty annoying as well. I haven't beaten the game yet, but I feel that Black Flag was way better than Unity...by a large margin.
I just picked up Diablo and Madden, and I'm having a ball with both of them. I'll pick up Metro Redux down the line I'm sure...most likely after all the awesome games coming out in the fall have released.
