AI is it a pointing in the venture capital cycle where investors threw money at it to expand quickly without worrying about cost too much. Mid 2027 they’ll be expecting it to start to be profitable. Assuming it isn’t generating like $10 billion dollars every three months investment will dry up.

Probably be sensible for PS6 to manufacturing to wait till bubble pops more likely to leave it supply constrained at the end of 2027 rather than missing it entirely.

I’m sure AI infrastructure will be useful. But investors in large infrastructure projects almost always lose most of their money.

@TimeDelayedGamer The 3ed Trails in the Sky is similar to the corridor in Trails into Reverie. It has canon story content but doesn’t have an impact on the wider world.

I only played it for around 10 hours, but my problems may be due to burn out as I played the four trails of cold steel and then the two trails of the sky games immediately before it.

Pick up on switch even though I have an expedition to complete before I can get round to it. I prefer to play this type of game on PlayStation but I suppose if we all wait it may never come.

I hope they can continue but that thumbnail on switch certainly isn’t helping. I went right by it in the new game section of the switch E shop and only found it by searching.

Core Design’s made the first six Tomb Raider games this is what’s being referred to us the first chapter. The first five games are also similar to each other and different from what comes after. Angel of darkness is included for completeness but is a dead end stylistically.

After this development move to Crystal Dynamics. Their first game was Tomb Raider Legend. The first 3 made by crystal dynamics under Eidos are considered the second chapter.

Tomb Raider was rebooted into a more uncharted like style after a purchased by Square Enid. This will be the 3ed chapter.

Tomb raider is currently getting rebooted again post Square.

There are also many spinoffs that don’t fit in the idea of chapters.

Slitterhead Is an excellent horror game. It’s a unique experience and certainly not a survival game. Most of the human you possess are completely disposable.

This seems to fit with Falcom's normal pattern, they building the game in Japanese for a single platform. When it gets as publisher at a later date, they will probably port it to other platforms and localise it to other languages.

Sad to see a game I was planning to check out not come out.

@nessisonett What matters for a commercial project isn’t the size of the company it’s the amount of revenue that project could generate. For more niche projects like this. That budget can certainly be smaller than the amount of time and enthusiastic ammeter can commit. Hence amateurs can do better work that would not be commercially viable.

I think I’m close to the end of my female protagonist play through of persona 3 portable. So I’ll probably finish that this weekend. If there’s time I might also play some Resident Evil 4 remake.

At this point it’s safe to assume that anything with a 2023 Window that hasn’t been released yet has been delayed till 2024.

@Triumph741 Most games are developed primarily on PC. There’s a difference between an an unoptimised build that only been run on the developers own hardware and a finished game that will run well on any modern computer.

@LifeGirl Freedom means being allowed to do what you want. It’s not surprising that free societies are more inclined to allow activities that have external costs.

It’s more likely that it’s so far away. That they haven’t committed to bring it to the current generation of Xbox. Than that they are considering bringing it to PlayStation.

If you take the approach of just buying something you’re actually going to wear you’ll be fine. You don’t expect to walk into a clothes shop and get one of everything. You don’t expect to get every skin in Destiny 2. Both are ruinously expensive.

Nine years is a long time, but we don’t know how actively Persona 6 is in development.

Sad news. I’ll certainly like the opportunity to play Time Splitters 2 again. I sold my copy went Time Splitters 3 came out, and it was a bad trade.

The Callisto Protocol and Weird West or to game I want to play but certainly won’t have time for in 2023. Will add to my library and they can motivate me to stay subscribed when the time comes.

I enjoyed Disgaea 1, 3 and 4. But really didn’t like Disgaea 6. Has sanity returned the numbers, or is everything still in the thousands.

English voices certainly add to the experience of games that they’re in. But I would hope that games would ship without rather than delaying.

People deserve to be paid fairly, but fair for a video game that is a game. It’s different from a live action film where essentially the product is the work of the actors.

I hope it can be resolved quickly, but compromise is certainly required on both sides.

Given the current state of the Embracea group I would rather not order anything in advance for delivery in the distant future from them.

Looks like Vanillaware is back to fantasy. Isn’t really to my taste, but then the only Vanillaware game that has been was 13 sentinels.

Almost looks like Ogre Battle 64 which I did like so if it reviews well I might get it.

Isn’t directing you to buy the full price version of a PlayStation store an upgrade path? It just isn’t a discount.

I bought it on PS5 and will play it at my own pace. Without the distraction of a bunch of games. That I might want to play at some point. But I don’t want to get to now. Leaving a subscription service whilst I’m playing it.

That timing certainly makes it more likely that I’ll pick it up day one. Assuming it’s good, I’m going to wait for reviews.

The PS5 pro probably won’t make a meaningful difference to Take Two. Their output is a mixture of last gen and cross gen.

That doesn’t mean it won’t be meaningful to enthusiasts. I certainly always appreciate a higher more of a stable frame rate.

If you end up getting sectioned under the mental health act in the UK. You’re in a far worse position than if you’re convicted of a crime.

If you’re convicted of a crime, you get a fixed sentence. If you’re sectioned under the mental health act, the doctors can do whatever they want to you until they decide you’re better.

Historically our doctors have been reluctant to decide anyone is better ever.

@Grimwood We had a pandemic (new disease, burning through the population) that’s over, the coronavirus is now endemic (still around and killing people, but not disruptive anymore).

The situation has changed there now 4 endemic coronaviruses in the world rather than 3. Ultimately it doesn’t have any significant impact on our lives anymore. Even if the virus itself hasn’t changed.

@Kidfried It’s been established that Morgana like sushi. Unfortunately he gets is about as frequently as we get mainline persona games.

@XenonKnight Low-budget spinoffs in a different style have been around since long before game pass. They are a good match for game pass though. This is still likely to be fun so is worth watching regardless.

Unfortunately, they train the audience to expect unnumbered Final Fantasy games to be cheap spinoffs.

@JustPlainLoco You need to wait a few months for them to do another run for the price to come down. This is Square Enix so history suggests they will overproduce the physical version of the game eventually.

Is making that kind of money is why they felt comfortable delaying suicide squad?

@Vivisapprentice I suspect a large chunk of that Microsoft number is Minecraft.

From a consumer standpoint. The always seem to be more indie games launching than I have time to check out.
