Persona 6 Release Date Rumour

Atlus has the inevitable Persona 6 pencilled in for 2025. That's according to @MbKKssTBhz5 on Twitter, who has a particularly good track record when it comes to leaking Atlus' plans. They also state that 2024 belongs to Metaphor: ReFantazio — the fantastical RPG that was announced back in June. Apparently, it'll be accompanied by a project currently known as 'Asa', which is believed to be some kind of Persona party title that crosses over characters from throughout the series.

The schedule certainly makes sense on paper — with Persona 3 Reload out on the 2nd February — but it would mean that the long wait for the next main Persona game will continue for quite a while yet. It's easy to forget that the original Persona 5 released all the way back in 2016 — and it's been enhanced re-releases and spinoffs ever since.

Curiously, @MbKKssTBhz5 doesn't mention the long-rumoured Persona 5-based fighting game that's been featured in various leaks over the years. It'll be interesting to see if that resurfaces anytime soon.
