Nope, I've already got it. Unless there is a significant discount for people that already bought it, I'm not interested in remasters, especially now that backwards compatibility with PS4 is supposed to be a thing.
I never played the original, but I did try the demo and I couldn't get through an enemy fight without losing health. I soon realized that if I just ran around/through them while flailing the sword, it was a lot easier. Once I got back into that 90s mind-set, I enjoyed it more. I'll be picking it up.
If you run out of time, do you just game over and try again, or does the story keep going in a fail-state? If it allows you to try again, it doesn't seem too bad.
I keep hearing good things about these games. I'll make you a deal, SEGA. Release Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 on PS4 and I'll buy the whole series (and Judgement) then.
Isn't how close you are to the opponent important? Like you have to be either right next to them, a few steps away, or full screen away? Unless that's all changed?
@get2sammyb I think it would be helpful to have an article after each one of these nindie presentations to highlight what was shown and if they are also coming to Playstation (or what you think the chances are)sooner or later. I have all 3 consoles, but the order that I will buy multi-platform games is PS4, Xbox, then Switch. I prefer PS4 for trophies and more storage space than the Switch has. Anyway, just my suggestion.
Finally! The End is Nigh came out on Switch ages ago, and I've been waiting for a PS4 version (my preferred platform) since then! I hope they announce The Messenger soon too.
My friends and I love these Jackbox games. We all had fun with this pack last week. Like you said, Zeeple Dome was the worst of the lot. Each of these packs always has one game that we play a few times and then stop.
I thought I would bring up a few differences in this version of You Don't Know Jack that I think helps make it more balanced:
1. In this one, if you don't answer a question, you lose money. You can't just sit out every question until you know one.
2. The dis or dats are played by everyone, not just the one in last place.
3. The jack attack is different and more fair, points don't go to just the person who buzzed in first.
4. Gibberish questions return!
For everyone asking why we need smartphones, there is a lot of drawing and typing in these games and you can't do that on a controller. Well typing, you can, but everyone would see what you are doing.
The Jackbox games don't use an app like the Playlink games. You just go to the jackbox.tv website.
I'm waiting until all the games are available on PS4 to get into these. You are saying that we should play the prequel before the original? Isn't that like saying you should watch the Star Wars prequels before the originals? Shouldn't you experience the games in release order (sorta, the first two are remakes)?
RPGs that I missed that I hope eventually get released/remastered on PS4: Final Fantasy 8 Final Fantasy 13 trilogy Mass Effect trilogy Yakuza, if they all get US releases, I'll buy the whole series then
I was on the fence about this one. The screenshots and preview in the store interested me, but I couldn't find one review for it for any platform. Thank you for reviewing it and saving me some cash.
It's been a few years, but wasn't Ubisoft the company that had some well known youtubers show up on screen at random points in the conference and annoy everyone? Then there was a time that a group of people (kids?) came out and played some kind of laser tag on stage and in the audience?
I can only hope that it's backwards compatible. I don't have any more room for another console by my TV, so if it's not fully backwards compatible with PS4, I don't know if I'll get it. Also being able to play all my backlogged games in better quality than my base PS4 is another plus.
Speaking of indies, has there been any word on "The End is Nigh" on PS4? It came out on Switch a while ago, but I like to get games on PS4 if it's an option. The developer's site says coming soon, but it's said that for a while.
@verynaughtyboy Same here. I have a huge backlog of games from the last and current generations of all consoles (Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft) and I don't have any more room on my entertainment center for another console. If the PS5 isn't fully backwards compatible with PS4 games (bonus if it has boost mode like PS4 Pro), then I'll have to skip it.
Your list made me interested in Virginia so I looked up your Virginia review and you gave it a 4? Yet it's #4 on this list of best games of this genre?
@TheGZeus Off topic, but Batman with a gun was just a dream sequence/possible future. If you are the slightest bit interested, I would suggest watching it. I really liked the movie after seeing the Ultimate Cut.

Have you played Spirit of the North? I wonder if you'll review that.

What do you mean Harmonix has been absent for a few years? Rock Band gets new DLC every week.
Re: Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King - A Comprehensive Nostalgia Trip
@zimbogamer I owned the NES game. I think I rented the SNES one at some point. The NES game was freakin' hard. I wouldn't mind trying it again.

I didn't see ONE weapon break in that video. It's not a complete BOTW copy!

@Futureshark I think it was the Japan versions that were censored, not the west.

I didn't see any wall jumps in that video.
Re: Away: The Survival Series Trailer Swaps Between Creatures and Scraps with Scorpions
This looks like a spiritual successor to Deadly Creatures, which was an amazing game on the Wii. I'm in.

@Clutch_Nixon lol. I agree.
Re: Feature: EA's Best and Worst E3 Moments of the PS4 Generation
Any mention of EA Sports is a low point for me. They spend too much time every year on it.

Some games should have two scores if VR isn't required.

Re: Review: The Park (PS4)
Just a heads up, it's $12.99 in store, and $11.69 with plus. I went ahead and bought it at that price. I'm a sucker for amusement parks in games.
